  1. Hi Slayertom, thanks for your reply..... Well unfortunatly the Humvees are only respawned if they are damaged (at least one tire is broken) or other massive damage. The respawn Script checks all x seconds if that is the case. If its the case it took 50 seconds or so to respawn it. Re-enable the Grouplink? I'll check that a soon as possible (tonight). I hear that for the first time, that you can disable it via radio-commands........ OK, after playing this mission tonight with 3 Players over Internet i found a issue: Performance drops extremely if you are the mission-hoster and play it on the same machine and if the enemy attacks with Artyllery. Also when someone of the human-players dies from massive ammounts of grouplink enemys, performance drops extremely on all machines at the same time. That seems to be an issue with the grouplink-script.... EDIT: I'll implement also a Revive-Script and a Script to hide Corpse after some minutes (performance) best Regards, Mr.g-c

    ArmA Group Link II Plus!

    Simply amazing tool/addon/mod Great work!!! Question: Why was the "Support" for mor target-groups removed? Suggestion: In Readme tell the user to change the line in /GL2Plus/GL2Plus_Init/init.sqs... Currently its a bit confusing and many people could think to change the main init.sqs in your curent mission-folder. Regards, Christian

    Holy sh*t, I gain about 10fps THX! Glad to hear that i'm not the only one where it works. I also told my brother a few hours ago, just wait if they also get such a performance-boost! Anyway, have you tried to set the Post-Processing to low? For me that gave me another "feelable" boost! Regards, Christian

    Ok i've played another 5 hours online and i figured something out which incrased my Frames back to that level of 1.02 + it seems to run smoother. I've done: 1. Disabled Hardware-Sounds 2. Disabled EAX (CPU killer if you have only Onboard-sound like me) 3. Set Post-Processing to low (looks better in low and incrased frame-rate extrem) 3. All Texture and Detail-Things on the "left-side" set to Normal(include shader) 4 View-range set to 1200M 5. Anti-Aliasing to Low 6. Shadows to normal 7. anisotropic-Filter to normal 8. blood to high :-p The good things with this settings are: -The game runs real good and smoother even if the framrate is lower, compared to 1.02(Exept when you coming in a Wood-part or in a large city with enemys, then it goes down...) - Soundbug is completly gone! - Visual there are less or no difference to the very-high and high settings i used in 1.02. - Game makes now so much fun! - the "Texture-Disappear-Problem" when turning around is gone for a long time... Well untill you played 2-3 Hours or longer without a brake. Then the Game "get" a "rhytm" of about 10 seconds in which all Textures and Objects run from Very-Low (flashpoint-style) to the maximum, and then again the same over and over again - the game is not playable then anymore and needs a restart. The "bad" things are: - In 1.02 i had not to lower all those settings - Without EAX, recognizing of enemys is really hard with my 5.1 Sourround Headphones. My Machine specs: Athlon 64 4000+ (oc'ed to around 5000+), GF 7950GT, 2Gig DDR2. Fast Harddisk and weekly defraged by O&O-Defrag. Of course always the newest drivers for all Hardware and Windows XP Regards, Christian

    What do you whant to telling me here? Think before i post? Crazy or what? Don't go to personaly - its only a good tip! I think you have your nose to deep in BIS ass. Haven't you paid money for that game? Do you have to much money so you don't have to care? And: thats not only my view, that the view of dozend of other "pissed of" Arma gamers who set all their hopes in that so big announced 1.05 patch. The truth is this patch had make things more worse than good. My Machine is far away from "poor" i have a overclocked 4000+ with a 7950GT and enough DDR2 ram. Anyway one of my Brother got a Core2 6600 and a 8800GTX Card all new drivers, XPsp2 and exact the same issues as me, so stop telling me something about my Machine. The Grass-thing, well when you walk over the grass or lay down in it without using scopes or Ironsights, it looks like ist only a few Centimeters high and thats good. But then, if you using your scopes or ironsights its getting really bad. And something for the end: In Opposite to you, we have tested this game the whole evening/night yesterday and ALL of us have the same oppinion and are pissed off - thats the reason why im posting here. And please don't get on my nerves any further, if you want to say something personally to me, write a PM! Regards, Christian

    The answer to that question is: Me and all the other Arma players (neighbours, friends and brothers of me + many users from big German Flashpoint/Arma forums) i know so far would prefer it if BIS had focused their work on solving the real great bugs, form which i had posted a small part above. regards, Christian

    Patch 1.05 impressions

    After Hourless testing in various Multiplayer-games and Maps i hae to say: I'm very sorry but that patch 1.05 is a real shame! There are so much bugs still in it - simply unbeliveable. For me as a german 1.02 User, before the patch, there are simply no real improvements. The opposite is the true case: - Performance decreased so extremly(about 50%) in Multiplayer!! - Soundbugs in Multiplayer still there (sounds dissapear - ok a bit better than in 1.02) - Texture Bugs still there (disaapaer and reappear when you turn around) - Even with some Gigs of Ram, Arma will extremely load on Harddisk which slow down the system - Collision-detection is still very bad! For example:When Tanks have collisions with each other or some map-parts like walls, they fly in the air with a accelerated sound?!?!? - AI: a bit better but still dumb like sh*t. For exaple: Infantry dont uses bridge, they walk through the water, stuck in the middle and lost their weapons. Same on tanks and no matter how high you set AI's "abbilitys". - Multiplayer-browser is buggy (sometimes you can not see all games - we tested it with some friends in realtime while we was telephoning together over isdn-conference) - Various translation errors in german. - Various Crash-to desktops (CTD's) still there when joining Multiplayer or hosting one game. - and so on and so on.... the list of bugs what i found out in 10 hours of playing multiplayer with the new 1.05 is near endless!!! And the grass-thing: Is that the Joke of the Century??? No matter if the grass in flatten or not, when you use you ironsights or the scopes while laying down in the grass, you still can't see anything!!! - this "addon" is really useless when playing in veteran mode only with ironsights! What BIS, please tell me, what have you done the whole time??!!!!! All real bugs are NOT fixed! Ahh i know, you needed that time for the development off extreme useless addons and things like Motorcyles or HUD in Aircrafts Why don't you had focused your time in research and solving off the uncountable ammounts of bugs? That a real shame, a real real shame, and thats so damn sorry.

    Ok now, how many hours could it still take until release? Do you think in a few hours? should i go to bed and look in the morning or should i stay awake and wait..... But the most important: Multiplayer-Dedicated Server: Will there be a new dedicated Server released tomorrow for 1.05 or is the 1.04 dedi compatible with the game in 1.05? Regards Christian
  13. Hi, i had exactly the same issues after i updated my sound-drivers (AC97). The real solvent was to install the Open_Al drivers again, which comes with patch 1.02. Filename: "OpenAL_1990.exe" Maybe this could help one, so i would give it a try. Regards, Christian

    Well i personally think something like that isn't very hard to code. This can be done via some scripting i think.... after the 1.05 patch released, i recommed to you to test this situation a little bit in Editor with different AI-strength. If its not getting better, then just add it to the buglist. regards Christian
  16. Well, Me and my brother are (at home) together behind a router and we share a DSL1000 connection (1000kbit/sec downstream and 192kbit/sec upstream) with fastpath activated. We never had problems with ping or bandwith when we playing together Games over that DSL-line, in addition through that fastpath usally(depens on game) we have pings below 40ms. In Armed Assault everything is different.... By the way: We are both legal buyers of that game and we love that game in MP, even if it seems to be in a alfa or beta stage ..hope that patch 1.03 is coming soon. Problem: So when we both are playing together on the fastest Server here in germany (Armed-assault.de) our ping is at start below 30ms, but when one of us moving fast, if "action is around him" or driving or flying with a vehicle (together or not) ping rises up to 600ms, and then playing is really not possible anymore. Then if one of us stops moving or driving or flying or so and just stand there in a MP game (for example in starting position), ping falls slowly down until it reached the normal state of about 30-45ms. This has nothing todo with that Server i think, because it happends on ALL Servers we tested so far... edit:and i forgot to say that desyncs are also rising with rising of the ping last time i had 5000+ desyncs after 1 hour of play. This "behavior" of the game is always coming when we two play together - no matter if we are connected on the same server or on different ones. This is really bad because we are coop players and the most time on same Servers.... I dont know what the reason is, probably the Game uses "to much" connections..... Please fix this or optimize this in one of the next patches because if you do not, the game will be nearly useless for us. Regards from germany, Christian

    Thank you very much for your fast reply! I will try a bit your "fix" and then i will tell you the results. Short question about this: should i do this on both PCs(me and my brother ones)? Yes, maybe its a Problem with the Server-Software which is as far as i know in beta stage. For me its not important on which "side" it will be fixed, its only important that it will be fixed anyway. regards, Christian
