*gets out a leather belt* Whose first? Yeah..cheating is a big issue nowadays..of course you look at games that are cheated and they have what? Ranks,you get rid of the ranks then nobody would want to cheat because they have nothing to cheat for,other than of couse being a sore looser and having to absolutely win a round.

Yeap,kinda sad that you can't even speak about their stuff unelss you go to their forums and then you have no idea what their sayin...ah well.. Though a ground rule I think is that addon makers unless authorized or so,should NOT tweak other peoples stuff unless explicitly given permission.

Just to add that this effect is excellant. The lighthouse beam lights up the surrounding terrain in a fully dynamic fashion as it sweeps around. Also impressive is lightning at night, playing a night mission with a thunderstorm is very atmospheric with the wind howling, rain drumming and the flashes lighting up the landscape (and briefly revealing you and your enemy). The weather effects are a vast improvement on OFP. Very true,I always loved rainy missions on OFP..here are so few ..but it never felt right for some reason,but yes OFP:E has a vast improvement,I never knew the lighthouse fully lit up its surroundings though.

Even so..if addons are indeed portable to AA then we don't have much to worry about,they would have advaned scripting,physics,collision and normal maps,doesnt sound like it would keep too many addons away. One thing I don't understand..you Ukraineboy,if you seem to dislike the game so much then why do you stay? And yes OFP has its unrealistic points..however its what you make it,if you feel like telling your squad to stay in one place and try to go rambo then thats just dandy,or you can be more realistic and stay with your squad and use them as the human shields.

we currently have humvee's with weapons,with what BIS is saying,multiple guns on vehicles and whatnot then I would tend to think this humvee might be possible.

Its definatly better,usually the vehicle turns black or darker and if its a tank,for a time there is fire comming out of one of the hatch locations. Helicopters get dark and shiny for some reason,not sure why but its like that special effect in OFP where you can make vehicles darker and have a bit of "shine" to them...I forget the name.

Well they still have vbs2 under way so that could be their saver Atleast for the military.. Nah,I doubt they would "betray" us..I bet their moreso doin the thing their usually famous to us for..hiding stuff in secrecy.

Yup,if ya need a name change then just put a slot of somethin on the side of a website containing AA stuff,if it really causes that much issue...wee...nearly here,hum..these are gonna be a long 3 or so months...oh well,back to cleaning house and playing OFP:E and seeing what I can find

Thats it ! Yeah..you'd be suprised how easily you can destroy a tank by going down a steep hill or somethin like that,that games not really friendly for vehicles at shit and the punishing system makes it even worse,hope like hell that AA won't have a stupid punishing system.. Super charged OFP...I would think of it as moreso a VBS1+OFP:E upgrade together,somewhat,most of the features in OFP:E if not all are going into AA,course not many seem to read what OFP:E has so yaknow...perhaps I should give a few examples. Vehicles have better suspension Collision is fixed,it is impossible to get stuck within objects now Buildings feel more solid and obstacles slow or stop you Vehicles if hit strong enough are randomly moved around rather than bugging into the other,say you drive a 5t truck and slam it into a civy car,the car goes spinning back or it'll be flung off to the side of the road. Surroundings are full of more life,more vegetation and whatnot water has moving waves,strength and color depending on the weather. Water is semi see throug,floating vehicles wheels can be seen through water as well as a bit of the ground below Smoke seems to move depending on wind direction (how thats adjusted I'm not sure) smoke will rise higher on clear days and be less angled and will rise less and be at an angle on rainy weather. Vehicles slow down off road by a large sum,don't even try with civilian vehicles. dynamic shadows in most cases,soldiers cast shadows on themselves and eachother,the willis jeep with 50cal and soldiers inside cast shadows on it,somehow other vehicles don't seem to have this. Windows have glare,the strength depending upon angle you are looking at. Soldiers and land have bump maps,easiest noticed in clear weather,try looking at desert island Boats will move up and down more and more depending on waves in the water. Flares cast light on surrounding area's,color depends on the flare Lighthose has a moving light Vehicle lighting area is less bumpy on the land,more smooth Neither buildings nor vehicles crumble like paper when destroyed. Too many helicopter rockets or tank blasts will cause the players character to go "deaf" for a few seconds. Helicopters have tail rotor failure,rotor will stop moving and helicopter will start spinning Water will not kill you in 5 seconds if it goes over your head. Helicopters will cause more particles over water and the particles will spread less and become 'thicker' if the helicopter is halfway or so in the water. When you shoot barrels they will begin to tilt,if you shoot enough or in the right place,you can knock the barrel over and it will sometimes spin. You can run over a barrel in a vehicle and if the barrel gets stuck it will roll with you or turn slightly and roll diagnolly Most bullets riochet off the ground,wether this works on walls I don't know,haven't tried it yet. Helicopters with retractable gear automaticly retract and extend depending on how high the helicopter is from the air,landing gear will NOT extend if over water unless the helicopter has come to a halt. Soldiers and vehicles cast shadows on everything,buildings,trees,etc. Soldiers can lean forward and backwards and croush to lean forward and backwards,while leaning you can also turn around Grass and trees will move if a helicopter comes near. Trees sort of cast shadows on vehicles,however the shadow is blocky. The shadows seen in AA are definatly an improvement. Fountains contain water within that are animated to move but water does NOT move up and down like the ocean. That said and the other obvious,thats what I found and if those are in AA,which I'm sure they will be,then thats reason enough. On a last note,I strongly believe you can be inside or on a vehicle without being pushed off,I ran into a "rocket car" on a race. I was in a T-55 and ran over a civilian car,not sure how or why but the car sprung and flipped up into the air and ejected the driver,the driver got stuck on the top of my speeding tank and was thrown off ONLY when I stopped,the rest of the time he remained there.

From what I'v seen on OFP:E I'm afraid other than driver,you won't be able to see inside tanks

Music in OFP:E was the same and most,not all but most sounds were replaced. wonder why the MUTT jeep with the 50cal gives shadows onto itself but nothing else does... So does this mean that OFP:E and VBS1's animations are more advanced or? I just woke up...*rubs eyes*

Maybe there is a way to do it like in OFP:E,the church fountains and whatnot have animated water that doesnt move up nor down,it may be possible if the river is like a model or something..

Yeah, but if they got Franze model..... Damn right. I love that thing ^^. I wonder if it has a chance of being updated some time.. And yeah,seems so,though how crushed the cobra's cockpit frame on the inside looks is a bit disturbing..ah well...its all lookin great!

No shit..after looked at AA and finding some things in OFP:E that will no doubt be in AA and then hearing of the AA improvements,I can only imagine what will happen and how things will look and act,we can only speculate..eitehr way,BIS apparently knows what their doing...durr A few months behind and I can't believe people STILL fret over that old Dec2005 picture that has looong since been updated. To be honest I don't see whats wrong with AA's textures,they look great imo. Ah fuck,bumped it,shoulda looked at date..*coughs*..no more posting in the mornings for me...........oh well,what else have we got to yack about in terms of game2?

And more expensive and can hold less weapons..by that I mean carry,yes 8 hellfires and rockets can do alot of damage but its kinda like in OFp..iirc anyway..the hind could hold more weapons and had more armor but the apache had better maneuverability..sorta..after playing with the Franze's apache the original seemed way less maneuverable..ah well. If the forces are not Russian then why not give them a more modern helicopter such as the Mi-28 I wonder?

Yup..shame codemasters have the rights to it,but I seriously doubt they can get this so called "ofp2" to be like true OFP or Armed Assault,afterall,its not just another simple shootem up game. Then again codemasters is makin OFP2 vietnam era? Like we don't have enough of those..ah well,whats another hurt.
