  2. Can you simply place a "spotter" OPFOR and "sync" him to a larger patrol (on guard setting).... Will he alert them of what he sees??? (without the need for any script or even trigger)??

    Question - Outside of the Apache flight dynamics...... With regard to it within the game/sim. Can small arms fire bring it down?? MG / MMG fire?

    Not sure about your question - In terms of flying it, manually (though I doubt ARMA 2 will give an in-depth, real life experience as would a full born Apache Flight sim game). With that said, an AI flown Apache is amazing to watch - Just had it fly CAS over an insurgent filled village and it brought destruction and death for over 15 mins over the target zone......KIA over 90%...... (Though I do wonder, if the enemy AI should be tweaked to simply enter "HIDE" mode and stay inside if an attack helicopter is overhead).

    As someone who is somewhat new the ARMA series - I was more an old time player of the original R6/GR/...somwhat RVS.... I can say, ARMA 2 (especially with AO) is very much worth it. The only major drawback in the CQC..... ARMA 2 handles this quite sub-par'ly for the most part. If ARMA 2 could provide some type of AI CQC, it would be nearly impossible not to own for anyone that is serious about MILSIMs....

    Why was R6/RVS able to do it so much better? Where your AI teammates really could be part of a room clearling solution....
  7. I've noticed the rock situation - What I found more odd was the lack of effective weapons fire put out my AI teammates VS enemies in an elevated position (above us).

The Naygul valley is a great place in terms of the visual and realistic setting for mountainous region.....However, it performs terrible in terms of AI - AI teammates are continually getting stuck (where a restart or moving 100m + away is the only way to free them).... Enemy units were constantly stuck (via viewing them). Thus making missions almost impossible (with any realism behind it)... Also, I noticed weapon accuracy seemd quite effeted/affected (negatively so) by elevation differences. My medic who was carrying a sniper rifle....was calling out contact and firing through several clips (while I was trying to locate who he was seeing)....I eventually switched to my medic and took a look through his scope... Sure enough there was an insurgent in view, about 200m out but elevated above our position. I took one shot at killed him? Yet my AI teammate had fired through 2 clips and never hit hiim??? Seems odd. Additonally, walking in Valley area.....You can instantly become hurt (fall) for no apparent reason.....while walking on the base of the valley (not on the ledges going up)... Teammate AI also tends to funnel itself to the bottom of the valley rather than follow their teammate leader....(even when it tight diamond formation).

  10. Huh? I have it placed (within a town)....but have yet to see a Civ?? And just placing it, is enough. You don't need to write anything in any of the INT/Code fields...

    That is basically how I go about it now - Lets hope BIS sloves this issue in an udpated patch - Or at least addresses it, somewhat. Finding a way to make AI teammates more useful in CCQ would be huge for ARAM2/AO....
  12. What is a proper / good view disance to have?? I have a mid-level computer....currently getting around 40FPS in the benchmark mission. I have my view distance set to 1400km.... Is this way short?
  13. Can't figure out how to use the Ambient Civilians Module in AO - From the BIS site...it seems to say you only need to place it (not sync it with anything). However, when I place it.....I never get any Civs within the town it is placed in?? Do I need to write a code in the INT: field??
  14. Thanks - That is simple, never thought of it..... Any code for if I want to associate an "dead" target on a particular HVT? Just to have some text show up confirming he is KIA?

    Waypoint Type: Occupy Building

    For teammate AI - It would be great to have a "clear" house/ struture type command - So they all would enter at the same time ( a la, old R6/RVs methods). As is now, almost impossible to clear buildings with AI teammates..
  17. I have an Op I'm trying to complete in Takistan - The Naygul valley and my AI members get stuck (flutter in the air / up and down motion). Is there any thing / trick to be done to get them to continue on??.....Switching to them / controling them does no good....issuing orders does no good......I didn't know if there was some other trick?? Really surprised that in OA this is still happening....

  19. Update - On restart of the mission.....Two AI teammates were still stuck - I then walked about 120 meters away from them and issued continuing regroup commands.... It worked!... (however, this is a terribly sub-par manner in which to have to operate). Furthermore, while the Naygul Valley is visually a great place....It seems to do terrible with the AI - Enemy units were constantly stuck (via viewing them). My AI teammates beacme stuck several more times (the 100 m trick worked to free them). Also, I noticed weapon accuracy seemd quite effeted (negatively so) by elevation differnces.   20. So on the PoP....if you have a group of 4 men....The only PoP that matters is the leader of that group? If say you hve him set to 75% chance.....Is the entire group automatically set to 75%.....or will parts still show up if he doesn't?
  21. What is the best way to get choppers to fire on enemy infantry?? I land helicopters in hot LZ sometimes and it seems the choppers hardly ever fire back......I have them in combat mode.....when dropping me off....
  22. Can't you set up all settings within your own editor created missions? You can set up skill ratings for each individual soldier, can't you not???

    Zeus AI Combat Skills

    Why is this the case? I've yet to have any problems using the mod activiation system within A2/AO-Com Ops.....Are there / have there been issues reported? And does't the activation system basically do the same thing, add a string of mods to your shortcut launcher (from behind the scenes more or less). Thanks...
