???...I'm lost?

Somewhat OT, but also somewhat along the same lines... What is the easiest way to KEEP a guy inside a building without going on the roof? I usually use the UPSON patrol building script....But this has them up on the roof from time to time...

I've noticed a very high percentage of injuries (minor to fatal) when having insertions with CH-47s..... Much more than is normal.

Most of the injuries end up minor (where only a medic can patch them up) Basic medical skills won't work... Yet if you switch to medic you will notice more injuries that need attention. It seems like lots of twisted ankles when unloading out of the CH-47s (would be my guess). It definitely seems like CH-47s won't land (when given the unload cargo command) they more or less hover a few feet from the ground.....And inadvertenty hover at 10 to 20 feet off the ground....

For what it's worth. OA gave my system a slight performance increase. And OA adds a tremendous amount (though, if you are in the A2 campagin, maybe not so much for that....you could always finish that, then install OA). You definitely will be happy with OA.

Click "save" or "save as" ?? 4. You want to save it as "all files". 5. What do you save it as UTF-8 or ANSI??? THanks. Also when adjusting "precision" ratings. These are by default set to an 8 or 9 digit number. Be it, .55210000 or .8100006 (something along these lines). If you adjust these to say .45 (should you still keep it the 8/9 digit length??) meaning it would look like .45000000.

Ok. When I DL the lastet UPS script.... What do I do next? How can I view the practice mission that comes with it? Do I create a folder for it to go into like a mod??

Got it - Regarding the deadzone - However, could "mouse sensetivity" be causing the issues here? At work at the moment, so just brain storming..... Will test multiple ways later today..

Ok! Thank you! If it wasn't working correctly - If A2/AO wasn't recognizing my profile I would most likely be getting some type of "error" message, wouldn't I?

Thanks! Appreicate the detailed info - What about "mouse sensetivity" within control options? Where do most have this set? Also, what about within Windows, within the mouse controls. Do most have moust enhancing turned "on" or "off". With my other mouse when it was turned on it seemed to be fine...... But I'm starting to believe now with mouse enhancing on with this new mouse / combined with AO it seems almost to sensetive...

I have yet to see where the "precisionFriendly / precisionEnemy" ratings are located? Even when I click on "my profile" and click edit.....such ratings don't appear anywhere? Is this something I need to adjust within Notepad?? Or is it only if you play MP? I know / and see where the skill ratings are in the editor and within "options" for AI....

Ok. I have opened my profile changed some things.....hit the "save as" (instead of save)....anyway...I save as "all files" and under the UTF-8... However, it still appears within the file now as a "notebook" file it seems (at least in appearnce).?? Is this working correctly??? How do I create a new profile? Ok. So I do need to type in the ArmA2oaprofile part? It is odd, because when I launch A2/OA...all seems fine. But I know my profile file appearance wise within my, "my documents" folder....is appearing like a notepad file??? If my profile name is meade..... I should save the file as meade.ArmA2OAprofile than? (type it in fully). Then "save as", ALL FILES and as a UTF-8, file....correct?

Thanks. I've never had such an issue with FPS/SIMs before, than I'm having right now. It just seems I cannot get a steady bead on a guy once I have them in my sights....constantly "floating" more or less around a person. What do most have the aiming deadzone set at? More toward zero or the other way?? Also, do others have any issues with wireless mouse and FPS? I've tended to always stick to the non-wireless on my desktop games...

Does anyone know - I hit "SAVE AS"...and now within my folder the Arma2/AO.profile file...."looks" like a notepad file?? I used the save as "all files" with the UTF-8 extention? Is this correct? How does one go about creating a new profile? If needed. I noticed you can't simply "delete" your primary one within the game.

Thanks for the tip! - Plan to use it - Also, when one edits tthe "enemy AI precision" within their "profile". When you say you have it set to 0.425 ? Is that it? Or do you keep it at the same length with just zero's.. For example the standard length of precisionEnemy=0.76999998; (is something like this). So is yours set to precisionEnemy=0.42500000;(like this?). Also, what is the correct way to save your proflie? I know you open it with "notepad" for example. But you don't want it to change into a word/notepad document..... So do you simply save it as "all files"? Once you change the precisionEnemy number? Thanks

I'm starting to notice (more so since OA, it seems) very sub par weapons accuarcy by friendly AI. Say from 150 meters to 300 meter range. Of course with these ranges we aren't talking one shot one kill type foolishness...... But I'm having guys go through numerous clips without hitting targets that are openly exposed. These are friendly AI who are rated (sliding bar) as high as one can be (supposedly "elite").

Could you post a sample mission with your script in it?? I would love to see how it works and use it going forward for SP missions.

Isn't that mainly for enemy OPFOR?? Isn't the default "1" in A2/OA for friendly forces? In terms of weapons accuracy and skill levles? Which just has me thinking it could be possibly a weapons issue (not the skill of the shooter)....or an issue with elevations and targeting. I have noticed espeically when OPFOR are elevated above or below friendly AI positions there accuracy is awful...

Does Zeus decrease your teammates AI ability? (shoot accuracy levels?). Since installing, I do like how the enemy reacts more...... However, I think I've seen a quite negative impact on friendly AI accuracy levels? Also, it seems elevation above or below friendly AI cause all sorts of accuracy issues.

Can you create / place "awareness groups" without the need for scripts??

I've noticed several times with A2/OA...that when I switch from my main guy to one of my AI teammates they will NOT have NV on or will not have swiched on their TWS scopes..... Perhaps they are just in the off position when you manually switch to them??,....Though, I know in A2 they would automatically be on whenever I would switch between teammates...

What would be some good ways to create a mission where the AI (a particular AI member) would look to evade capture? I understand setting someone to stealth - But if giving them WP on where / how to proceed in stealth mode defeats the purpose (as I would know where they are). CMSF editor allows for these such operations by allowing one to give a particular unit multiple different WP possibilities (with the AI choosing which is best under present conditions, which can change each time). Just looking for some advice.....while sitting at work brain storming ideas for a new SP mission...

It would be nice if there was a "clear house / structure" option/orders for AI teammates - Where they would enter a house / structure together (a la, somewhat the old R6/RVS method). As is now, they sort of enter haphazardly..... Even if there was some type of "Stay tight to me" order....so when clearing a building your guys would stay RIGHT with you...not several seconds behind where in CQC it is all over by then... Another question, why does oftenly, one of my AI soldiers stay standing, even though orders of "danger" are given. The rest of us three stay low.....yet typically I find one man standing always (always the same person within our unit)....
