  1. How do you go about this? How to you place just an explosion to take place? And can you place that with a wide placement radius (say 150 m) so you don't know exactly where that would be?

    Zeus AI Combat Skills

    Dumb question - But once I have Zeus installed (activated mod within A2/OA) it is always "on", isn't it?? Meaning any and all single player games I create via the editor...the AI will be using Zeus, correct?
  3. Thanks - Ok, that stopped that error and now the trigger seems set up. Yet, I cannot seem to get a confirmation or the "OPFOR HVT IS CONFIRMED KIA" to appear when play testing.... I've killed him several times...walked right up to him...yet no confirmation message pops up...?? The OPFOR unit / person I place down. I have his name as 'hvt'...(also I tried his description as 'hvt' as well). Neither seem to work.
  4. I would like to have a simple trigger go off declaring "X" HVT is confirmed KIA....once he is dead and within say 5 meters of a member of my squad? How exactly do I word this again within a trigger? Thanks
  5. I keep getting the following error when I go to create this trigger. I create it a standard trigger. Than group it to my Team leader...however, when I do the above... I get the following error message - "Type String, expected nothing" The name I am giving my "OPFOR HVT" is simply hvt in my practice mission here (FYI)...
  6. Nope. Won't load without BAF it seems. Get an error message when I go to call it up within the editor...

  9. Regarding "resolution" settings within the video options? What is a good range? For Interface Resolution and 3D Resolution?? I have my 3D Resolution set to 100% (same as my interface resolution)... is this about right?? I average about 40-42 in Benchmarks. I'm running a Quadcore Q6600 2.4ghz - 3GB RAM (XP) - With a GT8800 video card 512 RAM...
  10. I use a House Patrol Script that works great - Just wondering, is there a way to keep OPFOR from not going on the roofs? This becomes the easiest way to take them out? Also, if you just place them in a house, without a script? Will they move at all, in terms of the way they are facing....It seems more or less they will simply stand in one direction until you are right up on them....   11. In using both the above scripts. The second works very well, though the AI will leave a building and hunt you if you are spotted....which is good and bad... The first script...The problem is...the AI will not even shoot at you if you walk up beside them (I have found)...Unless you pass directly in front of their firing arc they will not shoot at you.... Seeing how I can tweak each of them....The second one seems to work best right now.. Thanks again..
  12. kylania - Your work and advice is always fantastic......but I don't have the BAF/ patch yet - Have my OA running smooth as hell and didn't want to mess with anything nor did I find much in the patch to be worth it (for me)....so I haven't been able to see / play through how you got it working....via the editor.

    Yeah. And that is fine. My only point was....that it was a great mission so far. With multiple fierce firefights and my guys had just advanced to a very advantageous postion (when I had to leave my house)..... I usually only play from the single player sceanrio sections....This one time I didn't.....and when I noticed there was / IS a saved file for my "editor preview" game.....I was just wondering if there is a "saved file" why can't I play it.../ how can I play it from there.... But it doesnt' seem possible...

    Saved game during "editor preview"??

    My situation is this - I build the mission. Saved it. Saved it as a editior mission BUT NOT to the single player mission folder. So yesterday, I played it, from the editor "preview" option. While about 45 mins into it, I had to leave. So I clicked the save option. It seemed to save it. I then closed out. But now, I don't think I can replay it. Even though, there is a mission file, within my "mydocuments/user saved" file. However, there doesn't appear to be anyone to restart this mission from the editor at this point. I can go within the editor and hit "preview mission" again...but then it just naturally takes me to the start of the mission. It seems, the only way to be able to stop and restart within a mission is to make sure you play it from the "single player scenarios".
  18. I continue to see friendly AI as not up to par - In terms of engaging enemies be it via small arms or vehicle mounted weapons - Both in spotting and in accuracy -
  19. What is the best way (Is there a good way??) To set up a mission where you are in control of say a 6 man Team.....But you want to be just one part of a larger assault (with several other friendly AI teams clearing a village). I mean, I know this is possible.....but what is the best way to have some control over the other units / teams once the mission begins? What the best commands for friendly AI teams so they won't go off and freelance to much. Meaning you would like them to advance to a certain point (they will likely make contact along the way).....but you want them to work with your unit more or less (at times). Do people find giving a "search and destory" command allows the AI to freelance way to much (get themselves in trouble to much). Should just simple and direct move orders be given? Just curious what others do when trying to have your unit work among other friendly AI units in a larger assault...

    Can you upload a practice mission/folder that shows this working......where one could open it in the editor and see how it is done? Thanks
  23. Can anyone upload (for me to look at) a simple random patrol with a couple / seperate enemy units using UPSMONs script - That jjust has them patroling seperate parts of a small town for example...
