it's impossible for football to ever become an american game, the americans already have american*cough*football*cough*.for football they'd have to change the timing of the periods so it fits their marketing schedules, then they'd have to change the name to something else cause it wouldn't be football anymore,i doubt anybody would watch a game of "american soccer".

whatever you do man don't talk about hinds or anything kooky like that, keep that for your friends. in fact you're usually better off not talking too much except for "yeah", "uh-huh" or "that is very interesting". saying "that's true", "for sure" and "you're right" are powerfull phrases you use when she's talking about her "feelings". you want to keep them talking about themselves and eventually they'll think you're a "nice guy" and they might want to hang out some more with you. the above works with about 80% of the female population, it won't work on the smart ones because they are actually the ones that want to know about you and what makes you tick. ignore those women unless you have the fortitude to get your ass chewed regularly. good hunting.

*sniffle* i do miss summers in sweden, the land is almost magical in it's pristineness, only thing i could tolerate about that country. latta beer was singlehandedly responsible for me leaving, oh yeah and the ever constant "har du leg" that was present when a bit of alcohol was involved.

i know the discussion is about RTS with huge resource management, but there is one smaller RTS, kind of old, which is still the best in my mind, X-COM Apocalypse. it's a very challenging game with amazing levels and enemies, which forces a player to use the maximum amount of strategy to take contain an alien infestation.

Do you turn off the music in operation flashpoint?
moerty replied to FallenPaladin's topic in OFFTOPIC
i hate in-game music, i used to play at this server that introduced some crap wannabe-heavy-rock music whenever someone would take the flag on some maps and it played on and on and on and on. it would drive me crazy, so i turned it off and have never missed it since, now it there was only some way to mute the loudmouthed dick who thinks his commentary is so important to the server. -

hhmm, from what i remember india and pakistan do indeed have missiles, with limitied range. they also have nuclear bombs, at the smallest probably about the same physical dimensions of the bigboy. the problem is i don't believe they can actually put those 2 toghether yet, and if they can they can at most put only one bomb per missile. another consideration is i doubt they would use their trump cards ever except just to say "nya nya look at my fist", especially since i bet china wouldn't mind taking some prime uninhabited real-estate, with no chance of a counter-attack.

really, i have a hard enough time surviving a computer game i doubt my chances would be better on the field. playing a computer game shows you one thing that real life has, it's way too damn easy to die, i think i'll pass and wait to join the space marines with their exo-skeletal armor in a few decades.

that's amazing, i don't think they'll be quite that way when imported into ofp but nevertheless a masterpiece in modeling and texturing. edit: what is that thing at the end of the scoped ak? a supressor?

one thing i recommend is that you play ofp in single player mode for at least a month before venturing out to the wasteland that is multiplayer. first it will teach you how to read the map and the uniforms (very important). second it will insure that you don't die everytime and never see anyone except your team-mates at spawn. believe me many are the times i've seen written "man i didn't see anyone during the whole map!" after a game is over. these are people who haven't bothered to understand the game to the minimum, therefore they are spanked easily by the opposition(don't be one of those people). finally it should teach you in not making an arse of yourself and accidentally wiping out half the team trying to fly a chopper. if you follow my simple rule you should have a very enjoyable time palying ofp in multiplayer. p.s. don't be suprised if multiplayer games take longer to set up than the duration of the map.

sweet mother! if this continues there will only be one gun in the future and a milion men taking care of the logistics in bringing ammo to said gun.

best coop's are played with a squad, especially a few black op missions where the whole team has to infiltrate and set satchels and begin some organized chaos.
