  1. I think you'd be expecting to pay a lot more than a few hundred dollars, well unless the creator lives in a very different economy than mine.
  2. Ah, should have thought of that Kremator, thanks :)
  3. Hi Guys, I've been trying this, used the conversion tool and applied the community update. It's working with Arma 2, but when I try and run Arma 3 ( through play with six, AIA, IF3, CBA3 ) I get this message when loading addons ' Addon 'AIA_Characters_IF_Clothing_LIB_GER_Infantry' requires addon 'LIB_core'. The game then runs but the Iron Front content isn't there. Anybody any ideas as to what's happening here? Thanks!

    @A3MP - ArmA 3 Map Pack

    Sounds great Alduric. Can I ask if you've further worked on these maps with regards lighting etc or are they as they were with AllInArma? ( The Southern European lighting of Chernarus was a little harsh )
  5. Yeah, I can't understand how it would be acceptable to use other peoples already released scripts, unless of course you had their permission/ come to some sort of an agreement with them.

    Is there a need for modeling videos?

    Hi zach, is this still a go? It would be greatly appreciated. Im actually a game modeller by profession, i work for a small games company,I make hi poly models in zbrush, low poly in max, and we use the unity game engine. Id love to mod arma but I do find it very difficult to gather info on setting things up in o2 and then getting it ingame. Ive spent hours searching the forums, but all I find is half information, and I have to say ive seen some pretty superior and off putting responses from the modding vets to questions from beginners. I dont have time to be a detective, i have too many other things that need doing in this life, i do think bohemia should really consider creating some start to finish videos. Failing that, something similar from yourself would be amazing! After all, I am fairly competent at creating this stuff, and id love to add content, but whenever I try to explore it, I tend to eventually conclude that im better of indulging my hobby creating in unity/unreal engine/cryengine.
  7. Works great Cobra, thanks. It's a bit advanced for me to understand and adapt at the moment, I was trying to do it using waypoints and triggers, but this will give me the incentive to learn more. Thanks again :)
  8. *I'll clarify this by saying I've looked absolutely everywhere for a solution, and though I can obviously find solutions for insertions and extractions, I'm having great difficulty combining the two. I've been trying for several days but no joy* Hi all, I hope someone can help me out here. I'm attempting my first mission, which I hope will be a way for me to learn many different things for futire reference. I have a squad, my squad in a helicopter, which takes off and lands at a transport unload waypoint. My squad leaves the helicopter successfully, no problems here. At the LZ, another AI friendly squad waits. After we have left the helicopter, I want the helicopter to remain there, engines running, until this squad has loaded into the helicopter. Then I want the helicopter to take off and fly away. I've been trying several days, trying to combine different parts of different tutorials but nothing seems to work. I've been using transport unloads, unloads, get ins etc, also syncing different waypoints but no joy. I realize helicopter insertion/extraction tutorials are eveywhere, but I haven't been able ot find anything that can do this for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. John
  9. Ok cobra, I'll give it a go :)
  10. Yeah, that's the problem I had, it was lifting off then returning, I want it to sit with its engines on until the other group moves up and boards, I actually had it, but it stopped working, though I can't for the life of me fathom why. I'll get there. Thanks again for your efforts :)
  11. Thank you very much cobra, much appreciated :)
  12. And of course the option should still be there for people to release mods for free. The fact is, even one full character model, to the standard of a AAA game, can take more than a month of full time ( 40 hr week ) work, what with high res sculpts, low res models, UVs, textures, and then getting it in game. I wouldn't mind somebody charging a ( modest ) amount for all that work. And like other games, a Bis committee could decide which mods qualify. I imagine there would still be plenty of mods released for free.
  13. The content would need to be of a very high standard, probably passed by BIS. A lot of mods, though great, aren't quite professional grade ( at least art wise, I can't comment on coding ) I'd imagine only certain mods of high quality would qualify to be charged for.
  14. I think it's a good idea that certain mod makers, if their mod is judged to be of a similar standard to BIS work ( BIS would have to pass it ), to be able to sell their work, for a small fee. It works with other games out there. It takes a huge amount of time and talent to produce a high quality mod, that people do it for free is amazing, but I wouldn't mind paying a small amount. It could also attract a lot more talented people to produce work for the game. Saying that, I'd still expect more DLC from the company themselves free and otherwise to properly flesh out whats currently in game.

    STALKERGB's British Infantry

    The mod looks great Stalker, thanks. Just wondering, and sorry if this has already been asked, but is there a faction that I can easily select in the editor? Thanks again for your efforts.
