IM a lance corporal in the army cadet force which I have to do as part of my public services course at college but I will be joining the army in a few years time. If I join now at 17 I wont have the chance to get qualifications for when I leave so I would end up with a shitty job

I read a few months ago tht pistols are goin to be included. It was a interview with 1 of the BIS team but I dont know where I saw it. Either PC gamer UK or on a site somewhere I also read that there are goin to be new annimations, so one will be a pisyol holding animation.

Ive seen these in a shop before, I was tempted to buy a SAS soldier but didnt want the hassle of my mates taking the piss out of me They are even better quality than the old action men before they were taken over and destroyed with lots of bright colours

Sorry to be a bugger but I disagree, better training and new SOPs could solve the problem. Its much better for blue on blue to happen when everything can be stopped and the very best aid to be given than it to happen on the real battlefield when every man is needed. I dont know how low the A10 was flying on this incident but I know that almost 80 SAS guys were close to being killed by a A10 as they were lying low in a wadi. I read this in a book but it says the A10 was low enough that the pilots face could be seen. The A10 went over them and then came back and straft the area with the cannon dystroying a landrover but then they managed to radio the US air control base and stop it from wiping them out.

Its a lot lower than 3 miles matey, the A10 is a low and slow flying aircrat so there is no excuse. Also they should be trained to be able to make the right dicissions quickly. Anyone medicaly fit can be trained to fly an aircraft just like anyone can be taught to march or drive.

Im only saying what they were going to do and I dont blame them, the US have probably the worst history of blue on blue in the last 50 years. Even before the Brits went out to the Gulf there was alot of concern expressed about the US forces freindly fire "problem". It isnt proffesional to shoot the wrong troops that had big fcuk off dayglow panels on their warriors designed to stop freindly fire. They also had the black peace chevrons painted on the sides.

Thats right the A10 killed 9 british troops in their warriors, here are the guys that were killed: fusilier Lee Tompson aged 19 Private Niel Donald aged 18 Private John Lang aged 19 Fusilier Stephen Satchel aged 18 Conrad Cole aged 17 Martian Ferguson aged 21 fusilier Richard Gillespie 17 fusilier kevin leech, 20 fusilier paul atkinson, 19 After this happened the guys around them were so angry with the A10s that an order was nearly given to shoot down all US aircraft operating in the area to avoid it the twats doing it again. I wish it had been, if I had seen 9 of my mates get killed by someone I would do anything for revenge.

I bought it a week ago becuase Im bored of ofp and I wanted something to fill the space until june 21st. I thought the beach landing was good with the guys being sick and theres the chap lying on the floor with the medic trying to fix him. "dont worry private, IM gonna fix you up". he dont though One thing I hate is that its the same old follow this route, theres no planning or sratagy. 1 thing I love is room clearing with the tompson, the sound is just like off saving private ryan.

how can this be compared to a game?? In real life you would recieve hundreds of hours of training, theory and practical and many of the Standard operating proceedures are done so many times that they become automatic. Stuff like when to fire etc so it shouldnt happen. I know there is a weakness in the training that US fighter pilots are recieving atm. People are saying in here "you wernt there, in war its scary etc", if the SOPs have been rehersed so many times it isnt even on the mind. its like driving a car and anyone can do it.

I think there must be a problme with the training that pilots are getting in the US forces. It happened in the gulf war and ten years later nothing has changed. Its destroying their image and making many troops more worried of the US planes than any others. BTW I also agree that important events are being forgotten

I also have a confession, I went and bought MOHAA on Thursday. It aint as good as OFP and I kept trying to change to 3rd person view and ordering people about, but it didnt work. The beach landing mission was impressive thought but the AI isnt as good as flashpoints, I always get shot by the US troops
