Such MOD would be surely lead to some great scenarios for mission and campaigns, not only strictly related to an eventual Greek vs Turkish confrontation. The british presence on the island would open some interesting possibilities, think about some arab terrorism involvement for example. I took in consideration the possibility to make a scaled down island some time ago...... It would be a pity if nothing will come from this discussion Klavan

It's not only a matter of editing/modelling. When you plot a big city you can't forget to make it playable: one of the most common problem with many map is the lag generated in urban areas, expecially in big ones, mainly due by objects collision detection conflict. As a secondary issue, there's the scale of the city. Objects need space around themselves. Plus,the texturing of the terrain put other limits. Klavan

You're right, but you've to take in mind that an island that requires 20+ addons is a map that most probably will not be played very much. A solution could be to include the p3ds directly into the island .pbo, but in the 99,9% of the cases you've to revert the files from ODOL to MLOD wich always mess up the model, and then to repath the textures. In addiction not all the addon makers give you the permission to do so. Klavan

I wonder if this will be the only trailer we will see. It's named footage1 and personally, altough i'm very pleased by what i've seen, i can't see a great promotional potential behind it. Almost no firefights, no traces of new features, such artillery support or the character switching thing. Maybe we will get something new soon. Klavan

I'm searching for pictures, images or even drawings of the buildings inside Tallil AB (Iraq, 30 KMs SE of An-Nasiriyah). Thanks to google i found good pictures of the entrance, the tower, the chemical bunkers and some hangars/shelters but i need more about the buildings already present before the US/coalition forces arrives in the area. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks. Klavan

I'm searching for good pics of the buildings inside the Tallil airbase (SE of An Nasiriyah, Iraq). I'm speaking of the buildings already present there, before the coalition forces occupied the area. I found some by google, but very few of 'em are usefull for my pourpouses (i'm creating some models for the map i'm currently editing). Actually i found useful pics of the tower, the entrance, of the chemical bunkers and of some aircraft shelters and hangars. I'm aware (thanks to google earth) that there are other buildings, but any search were unlucky. I wonder if anyone in this forum who stayed there in the past could eventually provide some more images, maybe as part of a personal collection or maybe from a site i didn't managed to find. Hi all, i've made a warehouse with some animated doors (they works fine), however i'm a bit in trouble with the geometry. In fact if i rename the components the doors geometry disappear in game and i'm able to pass through the doors even if they're closed. If i don't rename the components the geometry works fine, but obviously i'm not able to pass through the doors even when they're open. What i'm missing? Thank you for the help. Klavan EDIT Nevermind, i realized that i haven't to rename the components, but to add another selection to 'em. Sorry for the useless post.

Hi all. I'd like to create some transition textures for the map i'm currenty editing, since i want to use the standard OFP ones, but i've noticed that many are missing. Is there any tool that can do this in a simple and fast way? I'm not good with Pothoshop and similar..... Thank you Klavan
