    /me thinks of the following scenario : James Gastovski has retired from killing, and seeked his peace in eastern europe. while living there his peace is disturbed by a war. - for james maybe a leadership role? - a war crazed lunatic? - or a retired specop leading the herd to victory?

    You should invest in a 2 foot high perimiter wall, that'd be guaranteed to keep any and everyone out.

    We have multiple camera's. silent alarm, and BACKUP power.

    it takes a real Proffesional to take that down. and i mean a REAL proffesional.

    When you work at SahraniRadio, you often forget that a war is raging on the island.

    Yes, even i forget that. especially While broadcasting music 24/7, interviewing interesting people, and maintaining the news. Working at Sahrani Radio is sometimes exchausting. hunting news or editing the latest exclusive and sometimes daring news.

    Last night, was such a late night at the studio. Gathering news on new rumours that have reached our studio. at about five minutes before midnight, i was enjoying my coffee and reading thru my mail, when suddenly all lights went out.

    Then i heard footsteps in the studioroom. i realised where i was- in big trouble! - on Sahrani, reporting a WAR! where not everybody is happy with the news we publicize. i noticed a silouet coming towards me, lighted by the weak light from the neonlights outside.

    "Hopper" aint ya? - said a english accented voice. i stumbled a 'yes sir' while i was hiding under my desk.

    Well, "mr Hopper" you seem to have nose for news is it? Did you realise that some people do not always appreceate what you publicize?

    A million thougts crossed my mind, before i answered " is this about the Gastovski case?"

    "Its about you mr Hopper, and all other people out there" the voice said.

    "im here to bring you all a message, as things will change. Change to the way they should be. things will be different soon."

    What you mean? i stumbled.

    "What i mean, you will see soon enough. you are the hotshot reporter around here aint ya? But dont let that get into your head. i'll be watching you, and make sure nobody is out of line here. i'll be watching all of you."

    Suddenly, Machines power-up, lights go on, as the power in the studio was restored.

    after being distracted by the lights, i look for the intruder who dissapeared as quickly as he came.

    Who was this man? who is he representing? - as im thinking about what just happened to me, i powerup my terminal and starts typing this crazy day at the office. do i need to risk my life for this radiostation? do i need some protection? will he be back?

    Intimidating or not - i will get to the BOTTOM of this! - stay tuned!

    So much for a quiet sunday evening.....

    My source at the authorities tells me that the old man which was removed from the market on paraiso today, wasnt talking complete nonsense.

    Some Background research on 'Gastovski' learned us that he was the key-player of capturing Ivan Vasilii Guba AKA 'The Dentist'

    with the hunch from that guy from ofrp, about CWR - we think something is cooking in that direction.

    Therefore, we started 'Dossier Gastovski'

    Hey all.

    Did any of you picked up the rumours that go around on sahrani?

    Supposivly, there is troops movement. and they are not reinforcements! ( the rumour goes its the excact opposite! )

    Shouldnt we be protected by the armed forces? - are they abandoning us? did world war 3 break out ? or is the enemy already defeated?!

    for once, im puzzled!

    This system logs IP and ID, it requires you to join a special authentication server which is collecting info.

    together with the SquadXML which contains encrypted info, and a tiny servertool on the servers that participate make it quite a nifty system.

    - i think im very close in having a closed system. sadly enough, im only 1 man, and could use some help.

    a hectic week again, and i got most of your time-preferences.

    apart from three people requesting friday as the day, i think i managed to get the best compatible time.

    The meeting will be held on Saturday 19:00 GMT

    i KNOW its a bit short notice, but even I have a real life to catch up to sometimes.

    As some of you might know, Sahrani Radio is going to interview SUMA.

    every contructive critisism or interesting question that that you have can be directed to the main coder himself. im considering a 'community' member to be part of the interview.

    Topics discussed on the first meeting, can easyly be directed towards suma, on -or- off the record.

    As this is the first meeting, i'd like to keep things short, but to the point.

    Per team, i'd like to have their views on the following subjects:

    Tools.

    texview : Handling / bugs - general info / suggestions regarding this tool.

    Oxygen : handling / bugs

    Visitor : Handling / bugs

    Community.

    Standards. - do we need more standards?

    What do you expect from modmeeting,

    u can make file associations with windows yourself.

    but, in o2 i cant load any .paa or convert a tga

    this seems to be a a .dll issue.

    the distribution misses half of its helper .dll's

    Also, the Config editor pane inside o2 tends to be unstable.

    where are the days that that app read its  config from a plaintxtfile?

    check ur log and see....

    i have the files addes, but they seem to miss certain functions.

    TGA conversion fails.

    TGA gets displayed in editor.

    PAA doesnt get loaded in o2.

    i give up.

    funnyguy1 you have some points.

    i have seen it before, publishers sending out poll questions each month, and having the results returned and analyzed.

    The slogan they use is nice, but its all about eventually doing what you said.

    Fact is, that arma has no good Public Relations and there is no 'community manager' that could at least do something for the game, and the community.

    although i know he's coming soon, lets hope the PR machine does a better job for ArmA2 and see what we can do for arma now.

    About interfering with the development process :

    you can do that if you have 2-300 developers working on a game. i dont think bis even reaches 50 developers on arma.

    Haha, will do. I do remember however that there were various chunks of a variety of vehicles (I remember an Su-27 specifically) in a number of different screenshots that would seem to indicate the presence of vehicles that could be broken down into their constituent components

    uhm, this is already possible.

    DBO_brick has made : vehicles that fall apart, guns that can break, and buildings that fall apart.....

    a bit more power in the engine would make bigger scale destructions possible....
