  1. Sure i can.. it happen always here! Just when any AI soldier fires the m136. Crashes the moment when model should be deleted and placed on ground. Arma 1.16+ only ACE1.08 edit: it does not CTD when fired at a long distance target
  2. it seems my game always crashes when ai fires the m136 :confused: since noone else has reported it i will try a redownload/reisntall apart from that ACE is wonderful as always

    FFN MOD

    noticed a bug... when squad sights armor and it is out of engagement range(400m-m136) then they just stop... wont move or engage anything. using only ffn mp mod

    yep its the exact same here with audigy 2. Switched now to onboard soundcard . The sound fades out like it should and also fades back in now with ~10 seconds. But the onboard sound really sucks.. hardware and eax are fkdup.

    Flickering/Artefacts Issue

    Had the exact same problem. Too bad topic is deleted already. Actually i think i still have that problem... it was only solved by installing a 64bit(xp) OS and the chaos dissappeared. My guess its some complicated software-hardware conflict. I replaced almost every component of my pc before trying a new OS. So hardware-wise it could only be related to MB or CPU. Did you change anything on your PC before that started happening? Do you have also sound errors and lag when that occurs(try fling a plane over sahrani)?

    Texture problems..

    The slow lods/textures changing are the result of a "slow" CPU. Just try FFN or ECS in heavy battles... they dont change any graphics but they eat cpu workload and this causes lod/tex slow loadtimes. Vanilla arma has no trouble with tex/lod but with these mods i can run only small battles. Domination type missions are too heavy already. I have a 3.4Ghz quadcore and its barely enough to run arma.

    i have had the same problem since arma 1.0 . using xp64 and audigy 2. happens when many sounds are played at once. like shooting a minigun into a wall = deaf forever. guess its time for a new soundcard if bis cant fix it

    reanimating corpses..no, but Crappy Zombie Mod(lagfree version) is pretty good. I have tried like 600 zombies without lag. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=3330 BTW is there anyway to use them with ACE? They always get into crouch and reamain so. I want walking dead not crawling dead...

  15. First off A.C.E. is fantastic! Playing with it online and very pleased. Second.. is there a way to disable suppression on some AI-s? Because nem zombies go to crouch and stay that way and zombies dont croch Or maybe its something else than suppression. Just would like to see the dead WALK again. Btw i think you can use all units that are not showing up in the editor by making a mission w/o ACE and then in ACE you can copy-paste them. Thanks

    Testicular cancer... no i doubt it IMO there should be 2 slots for all weapon types and ~6 equipment slots. 2 primary weapons, 2 launcher weapons, 2 sidearm slots and 6 slots for stuff like backbacks, nv, binocular, knife, parachute... And all is regulated with a weight and stamina system similar like in ACE.

Symptoms: After ~1 minute flight over sahrani or some minutes on the ground 1. models disort and dissapear at all example: http://hot.ee/jackass888/arma.jpg 2. then sometimes textures disappear or change.. 3. sound disorts. eg plane engine= clickrrrr click rrr sometimes also happens as nr1 4. If i dont alt-tab out it sometimes stalls(have to reset) The only game this also happens is fallout3. loading a new location and making a few quick turns results in model and texture disortion. Enabling /3gb large address aware(boot.ini) worsens the symptoms in both games. That would indicate faulty system ram.. Info: Win xp sp3, catalyst 8.11, arma 1.14,newest sound driver e6400@3200mhz(35C),gigabyte hd4870(55c), 3gb adata ddr800(@800mhz5-5-5-18), wd 500gb hdd, q-tec 500w(1x18a) - most likely cause,creative audigy2. Done: new hdd, format and new win install,disabled any background processes, several video drivers, also tried my old nvidia7900gs where the game worked fine previously but now the same symptoms appeared with it,NO MODS,disabled pagefile, ran memtest86+ with no errors(3x),disabled soundcard, Reinstalled games, checked temps = ok, put CPU to default clocks, other games like crysis and supreme commander run perfectly for hours. Tried the rams seperatly. the 2gb stick was all the same and with the 1gb stick it just lagged very badly. video of problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpxheffryUM (also note the sound error at end) Theres just so many objections here... cant be videocard- tried another card, cant be ram- ran memtest, cant be software- formats&stuff... so what is it? I am out of options Before i buy some 200$ new psu and still fail, has anyone other advice?

    oh new stuff yes my power supply wasnt good enough(caused restarts) but it didnt cause this problem. got now a 700w ocz and new 4gb ram.. both didnt help. But i somehow managed to avoid these problems by installing a 64bit windows xp and arma newest patch. strange that the problem was still present with 1.04 version. I also tested another graphicscard in 32bit os and the problem didnt appear, however the game was running 1fps at that old card and i dont think its a valid test when all the other system parts were just waiting for the gpu. The problem is gone for now but i am afraid it may return like last time. So further ideas are welcome. Thanks!

    mama is gigabyte 965p-ds3 rev3.3. i have tried default bios settings and bios is updated.. but there is a new available. so i will try new bios asap. ram i have even tried 6-6-6-20 status update: newest bios with fail-safe settings... see results http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFXk4JcsF6g doesnt the av8 engine sound wonderful? *tearing out soundcard* edit again: ofcourse it didnt help

    almost everything looks fantastic sofar.. and the things that are not so good were stated to be totally wip= everything looks fantastic. I am a little worried about the ai tho... only in 1 early video they used cover and searched around buildings. Why is it that in these dozens of newer videos the ai acts so "arma1"?
  22. am i correct that nothing about "fire your primary weapon from vehicle positions" has been shown or told? I thought this was a confirmed feature?! With only ~5 months left i am starting to doubt that we ever see this cool feature what is my nr2 most wanted armaII feature, right after smart ai.

    Thats great news.. ffn and slx working together is just what i was hoping to hear someday. Hope it doesnt lag too bad since now we need less dumb enemies and have a few smart Ais that are even more challenging. Also looking forward for you campaign.
