the reason im not playing mp is that public servers dont use all these cool mods or if they do there is no place to read what mods are needed :( Waiting for ACE2 to unite the community once again -
Im using it with Vop and HiFi and it works fine. Just to be sure load them after slx in the game shortcut.

First.. thank you Solus i really enjoy SLX. I just noticed that AI dont occupy buildings anymore or dont go into buildings at all. Have i broken something or was it cut out? Its a very needed feature that brings some CQB into Arma2.

Nice island.. really like the depressing athmospehere. Some things to report and some suggestions also: Some bunker.p3d cannot be loaded. Chopper downwash has a wrong color. Maybe you should add tags to the pbos, becuase roads.pbo already existed... dunno does it load both then? The addon changes the weather what is very annoying becuase i have to restart the game w/o Klurs to get sunny weather again, maybe a seperate weather pbo? -

good to know that someone is focusing on the ai that has so much unused potential:) Have you considered also house search and taking positions in builidings scripts? The ai is pretty good now at moving inside buildings... they just have to be told to do so. -

The only features i would like to see are those that were already said to be in Arma2 but left out. CQB AI like advertised... doing housesearches and taking cover in buildings. Also on several Arma2 screens AI were using armored vehicles as cover but this is nowhere to be seen ingame. And finally shooting positions in vehicles. Nothing more and nothing less. -

if they are in the same group then change in the units properties window "in formation" to none. -
I have a similar problem. Even when trying to load working arma2 addons bulldozer says cannot load texture. Paa textures set myself seem to show up. Also buldozer doesnt start from the O2 menu(unable to create viewer) and i have to manually start it. "P:\buldozer.exe" -window -buldozer -noland -cfg=p:\Arma2.cfg Hm it seems i dont have an ifc22.dll in O2 folder.. is this bad? Im new to this.. is this select faces,push A, load texture,add texture the only method? I mean in in my modeling program i have a single UVW mapped texture.. isnt it possible to just apply textures rather than projecting them on all the sides? A new indepth tutorial would be very welcome. Thanks

hi Just wanted to let you know of something in noticed and maybe it helps. Steetlights/car headlights can be seen from distances of 1km+ and they seem to light up the environment when looking from several hundred meters away. Maybe something special in their config can also be used on these "heat lights". -

I remember back in the ofp days AMD advertised that ofps AI would be better with their cpus. AI should be same smart in normal conditions. But if a 1000AIs battle it might take some more time to process these AI routines and they may react slower. -

Thanks Sounds better than ingame.. it tries to imitate sound coming from behind by lowering volume on all speakers but still no 5.1. Audigy 2 platinum with newest drivers & xp 64. Dont have anything to tweak there.. and it was working in Arma1 :( -

Ballistics.. lets say yes, round deflection... not on tanks but could be activated,no material penetration. Its just a halftrue adverdisment sentence. What they mean by material penetration are the wall types that let every bullet through and divert its path. Or is the effect dependant on ammo damage value/something else? -
Order it online. I ordered form zavvi.co.uk. Costed me only 17£ with delivery and arrived in my mailbox in just five days(although i live like 2000km away).:) Arma2 IS the best soldier sim but it has its rough edges that will be polished with patches and efforts of the community in the near future. Absolutly worth buying and playing. Multiplayer seems a lot more active and fun then arma1. Beware though it requires a good PC with 8800/4850 or better gpu.

Cpu temps can be measured with coretemp/realtemp nstuff. HD4870/4890 is the only reasonable option for arma2 imo... others are too expensive for that little performance gain. Fps depends on resolution& but id say 30+fps on high-Vhigh. Arma2 is just currently a hardware eating sob :p -
put a trigger and in activation field " setacctime 0.1 ", this slows things down 10x. Is the max acctime now capped or something? Tried a 100x but it was only like 10x faster. And there is something like wait x minutes. Its the " skiptime x " function where x is hours.

i dont think your ram is "underclocked". Its original speed should be something like 266mhz with a multplier of 3. @ 752 it should be 2x376... at least it should have a multiplier of 2. Ram mhz and latencies have generally a very low impact on everyday use. -

sorry but i have never used voice chat before.. does the arma voice chat require some program like TS/ventrilo or does it work outofthebox with just "push to talk"?
