Not for 'soft' stuff in Germany, only for 'hard' stuff. Beer is legal to buy and drink by the age of 16 (12 or 14 I think if in company of your parents), and you're considered an adult by the age of 18 (by which time you're allowed to drink whatever you want and go voting afterwards). You may drive a small motorcycle (limited to 80kph) by the age of 16, cars by the age of 18 and trucks by the age of 21. In some cases you may be considered still a minor in court even when over 18 (but not when over 21) - that depends on the charges against you. But don't ask me where the exact limit between 'soft' and 'hard' drinks lies - I'm way too old for having to worry about that - and far too young for having to worry about my kids.

Just download the 1.75 -> 1.96 patch (link in this forum). Only one download nescessary. Also your old version is simply not compatible with the changes in the netcode. BIS improved the netcode and removed many (some very serious) bugs, so updating to 1.96 is more than worth a short wait. BTW: If you need three hours to update to 1.85, then your computer is probably not fit to play OFP anyways... Also, diggging up threads as old as this should be avoided.

Check this thread in the FDF forums - someone's making one.

Looking great - once I had the gamma of your pics raised to 2.00... ;)

A pic I took on my last trip to Paris.... yeah, right, the standard tourist pic, but not bad for my old age 2.1mbit digi cam:

As far as I know she already attended in a closed session. She's refusing to attend again in a public session, tho.

Such a script would be nice - but please don't have it activated by default.

Afaik that 11-year old was only supposed to smuggle the explosives through the controls, not to blow himself up. Never heard about the other case.

Israeli army arrests 'boy bomber' How sick do you have to be to send a handicapped kid (down syndrom) to do your dirty work?

Wether it's real or not - it's still a very bad 'joke'...

The point is that you as a customer already paid for this (look at the estmated 50 billion M$ has in cash reservers) and the money isn't hurting them at all. But it helps you (or at least the european customers) insofar as that money will go directly into the EU's pockets, reducing the member's anual payments - and thus saving your tax money (at least 100 million euros in the case of Germany) that can then be spend on other domestic things. Thanks Billyboy! Anyways, what's important about the verdict isn't the money - it's the restrictions M$ is obliged to follow: offering a version of their OS without the 'Bells 'n Whistles' (i.e. IE, MP) and laying their standards open so competitors can actually produce software that can integrate as well into the OS. At worst M$ will actually try to produce a better product so people continue to use their stuff. What's wrong with that?

Na, I have it - even have it installed - but why requiring people to load yet another huge mod folder just for a pilot? See my point. It would be great if you could replace them with the BAS pilots. Apart from that the pack sounds just fine. Edit: @rufiusmac - if he uses the BAS pilots the bas weapons will be required anyways. ;)
-
Yeah, that was exactly my thought. This pack sounds great, but if you use the BAS units anyways, why not their far superior pilots, too? 70mb 'Nam for 1 unit sound like overkill!
-
Argh - the whole SEBNAM pack is needed just for the pilots???

Depends on the server, but most have a limit for custom files - if your file is biggger you can't connect (you get auto-kicked). Also some more popular servers don't accept custom sounds at all (and you may even get banned). In general just keep them small, only use a few selected sounds (2-3) at once and never, never spam the game with them! The problem with using many big sounds is that each sound you have has to be relayed by the server to all other players when you connect. Also every player connecting to the server has to download all the soundfiles by all players already on the server, leading to long waits while connecting. Edit: My squad (SES) has a limit of 20kb for faces and sounds. That's still enough for a short ogg.

In that case I'd recommend getting the secret support of your chocolate industry. Controlling the whole belgium economy beforehand will facilitate the coup and you can easily do away with the existing governement without causing too much stirr!

No, the new rc (not the old 1.96 beta!) doesn't install a flashpoint beta but indeed replaces the FlashpointResistance.exe. Still I don't get it. 1.91 had some ugly bugs (like the one that would delete a whole partition of your harddisk if you were unlucky) and 1.96 doesn't have them. I see no new bugs introduced in 1.96, just old ones fixed.

It says BAS addons... which ones? Tonal and Kiowas, too?

Yeah, I know that they are visible if the other players have the pbo. It would have been nice tho if it had worked similar to the custom faces.
-
But these new glasses won't be visible to other players in mp games, right?
