Apparently there is a bug in Ati drivers High detail textures that cause flashing. The latest internal build of drivers has fixed this. Hopefully they will be released to the public soon. Don't know if this is related to your situation though.

Having trouble completing the mission where you have to sneak to the farmhouse and listen in on the officers conversation. Can't seem to get close enough to hear them without being spotted. I get all the way to the porch area where the officers are but I can never hear their conversation. Eventually they spot me and the alarms go off. Where do I go to actually hear them? The yellow tag (i think it's yellow. the marker that tells you where to go) tells me to go into the middle of the courtyard. That can't be right. I've tried going through the hole in the wall from the front. I've tried going around back and hiding in the little house where you can see the officers out the window. Any help would be much appreciated.

The game plays fine jawk. I just can't install the patch. No virus scanner running. There's something going on with the cdcheck. When I double click on the .exe the cd spins like crazy for like 30 seconds while the flashpoint splash screen shows up. The splash screen goes away. The cd stops spinning. Nothing else happens. No new folders are created in my flashpoint directory. No new executables are created in my directory. No game launches. Nothing else happens. If I play the game the cd spins up for 30 seconds while the splash screen pops up then the game loads. It shows me at version 1.46. Seeing as how my game loads after it checks the cd I don't see why the patch won't "load". It's like it doesn't find what it's looking for when it accesses the cd. I've tried it without the cd in the drive and it tells me to insert the cd. With the cd in the drive it doesn't say that so it obviously knows the cd is in there. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried removing my flash card reader and my cdburner. Still same problem. I redownloaded the file and extracted it with winzip, winace and winrar. Still same problem. Guess I'm just out of luck on this.

I never could install mptest 1.55. I click on the exe and the cd spins up for a few seconds the ofp splash screen comes up. The splash screen goes away and nothing happens. Just noticed mptest 1.59 was out so I tried that. Same thing. Why the heck can't I install these patches?!!? I've installed all other patches fine. I'm currently using version 1.46. Is nobody else having this problem? Please help. I posted after 1.55 came out and never got an answer. BIS, ARE YOU LISTENING?

I've downloaded the 1.55 zip file. Extracted it and all that was in there was a readme and a OFPMPTEST_1_55.exe file. I double click on the exe file and the splash screen comes up while the cd spins. The splash screen goes away and nothing happens. I tried putting the file in my operation flashpoint directory and starting it from there. Same thing happens. I am running version 1.46 now. What does it take to get this thing working?
