Great stuff! is that all your own texture work?

Did actually start on the Beddy but we have been working hard to get current work out, as the guys stated we REALLY need a scripter.
Here is a very very early screen of the work which was carried out. I do believe this is the old model too, think i made a new version (but cant seem to find it as my computer is a mess)

To all Squads, addon makers, mission makers etc that are dedicated towards the British side of things in flashpoint ,here is a quote from Messiah on our forums (you can read it all at www.project-ukf.com)
We here at UKF are planning to expand our links page with as many flashpoint squads and websites that are dedicated towards the british side of military goings on, and enjoy using our addons in those activities. This includes all clans, squads, teams, news sites etc. These sites will be listed under our 'links' section of the site, allowing newer visitors, and those a little new to MP to find the active squads, who they are, where they are and what they do.

Depends also on the size of the area you are pasting the texture onto. Its just trial and error to get the right size texture.

If you have been to our website (www.project-ukf.com) you may have seen us advertise for a new scripter to come aboard (our old scripter seems to have dissapeared of the planets surface) Â

We have many great addons that are currently in need of a scripting genius to work his/her magic on. Â If you believe you have what it takes (or you know of someone that has) to join Project UKF, then send me or any of the UKF guys a pm or email with some examples of your work.

I assure you that gfx do play a part in making a simulation work. A simulation is based on simulating real life, so real looking vehicles need great gfx and effects. I know for a fact that the game would do poorly if the gfx were not updated or not up to a certain standard people expect today. I know its gonna be a looker tho

no, the landrovers will continue to use west soldiers for now. We have no intention to revist old addons at this stage. We dont see the need to 'force' people to download our infantry because our land rovers require them, i rather let people download them because they want to.another reason was that we never released a des pack, hence never had a crew to put into the dessie land rovers, so we decided west crew across the board was better.
roger, then ill just edit the configs myself for private use, if that is alright i might add...?

As for the other chaps noticing the sigs, keep a close eye on our forums as we update the site at least once a week at the moment.

Yes please, Samaritan images are very rare, and if possible then yes on the Sultan too. Thanks very much

Great games all round again guys, except for the rogue suicide bomber that decided to nade us and himself at the radar. Ofp never ceases to amaze me

Nothing really can be done to prepare for Armed assault as nobody really knows what to expect till we have the new o2 installed on our systems, Really looking forward to it tho and also hoping some bugs are done away with, making o2 much better and quicker to use. Models will increase a little in size but im guessing alot of teams will try to keep poly numbers down due to the fact the more faces the model has the harder it is to texture. I think we are all excited to play with all the new stuff that will be in o2 tho.

All i can say is just wait. You gotta remember BIS have been working on this for nearly a year (from what i know) And im guessing a years work will amount to a lot more then different light effects and graphical improvements. Think about how much work (5 days a week, 40+ hours) that has been put into Armed assault. Its a hell of alot of improvments that im eager to see. Just sit back guys, chill and lets see what BIS give us, instead of moaning at them because a certain effect is too much overkill. The mod community is what im excited about....

I say good luck to the guys, Im very tempted to making a few sci-fi addons for Armed assault when it is released as a side project. Something based on nowadays kit but sprused up

Wonder if its possible. And yes your right about it being in BAS heli's. Be nice tho to be able to command a team just by sitting in the back of a command vehicle watching the battle in realtime on the map.

Im just wondering if it is possible to have a map that can be viewed ingame without the need to press "M" Im thinking a map that acts the same way as it would when you press M (shows troop movements etc) but being veiwed inside a command vehicle like the Sultan?

One problem you will have will be lag when a certain country is halfway across the world. Say England and Australia have to play a match im guessing the lag as well as the time zones will be a bit of a problem. Good luck tho with the tourney as i remember TCZ world games. Really great fun

what do i need to select and use faces -> move to next alpha?
The periscope model or the face with the .paa texture?
Also how do you know if its actually movin to next alpha as i cant see any information that is telling me that its actually moving to the next alpha?

top picture is the original BIS periscope. Notice how some textures are see through
Bottom pic is the copy and paste i made of the original BIS periscopes notice how they dont see through the textures the original did.
Please could someone explain how i can do the same as picture one (make a periscope see thru textures)

when the textures were saved it may have had anti alias. Also the texture must have a slight white even grey that creates the white outlines. Can you upload it so i can have a look at the texture?
