Had 2 ipods one mine and one the missus's. Mine went funny after a year (keeps freezing up) thrown to the floor and works again now. Missus ipod sound went after a year. Will never buy one again as they are a rip off. To anyone who wants to buy one, goto ipod forums and check the constant supply of people coming in daily complaining of ipods messing up after a year... It will shock you at how unsupportive apple are. Terrible company

Well i go by the name JTEC now but i used to be jeftec (quick to write
)Reason being is a mate of mine called mad dave always called me jeff tec because Jeff is my name and technology is something i liked.

-
Sounds like driver issues. I had the same problem with my other computer, is it a logitech mouse and does it only move to the top while playing ofp?
-
Spose some destruction system can be implemented. Say a bit of rubble falling infront of doorways killing the occupants and blocking further entrance. Might even be possible now in ofp. Im no scripter though

-
So what happens in OFP:E when you 'kill' a house?Nothing

Nothing?
Nothing at all?
Not even a crappy 'squashed-stretched' polygon house?

@jeftec
Quote[/b] ]Thats what we got Mod teams forBut no onw has done if for OFP (i've seen one "in development" but none released)
I was talking about Armed assault. Armed assault has a destructable bridge in one of the early videos. If its still possible in the final release of Armed assault then it shouldnt be too long till some mod team finds out how to use the same process for buildings. Ofp doesnt have destructable anything hence why its never been done (although i do remember col klink coming up with something along the lines) It may be possible in Ofp but its a very time consuming process.
-
Im guessing if the bridge collapses then it will be possible for any building to collapse. I think the reason being is that it would take too much time for BI to implement at such a late time. Thats what we got Mod teams for huh

God you lot dont have much time on your hands do ya

Can anyone work out from that picture which way the wind is blowing?

-
Always used to play on consoles (due to the high price of pc's) but then my brother in law bought a pc with delta force. Played that on Lan and decided to buy a PC, had the pc for a few weeks when Ofp demo was launched. Was totally hooked (demo was brilliant) bought the game when it was released, got connected to the net and started my first ever clan "UKA", moved away from the clan side of things and now model and texture addons for project UKF.

Can anyone translate that post by EndersLoop into English?Grabs his 12 year old nephew...
BIS are great

Spore...looks interesting but I also fear the same as Messy. God games are fun...but only for a little while after which they become boring. But Will Wright does seem to building into the product Net interactivity which mean you will get see what other creatures people are building. I think he is trying to address this issue so I'm keeping an open mind.Im Jtec
Sig put ya off
Its really sad that only a few titles do really impress us these days. Stalker does/did look promising, any ideas why it has slipped so bad?
Alan wake... everything i have read so far has been about its graphics. Max payne by the same makers was also very impressive for its graphics (for the time), gameplay wise it was rubbish.

-
Spore sounds very interesting, crazy how it generates its own animations, sounds a very personal game. My worry is that it will be either too short or have a very short lifespan in terms of being interested in it.
Also would be great if any info on Halo 3 for the xbox 360 is given, i will deffo buy a xbox 360 if Halo 3 is anything like the 1st one.
Biggest title like the rest of you guys is Armed assault, would be nice to see if anymore info is given on game2 and VBS2 also.
-
Tried this game on the Xbox 360 and its pants. It could have been brilliant, but it wasnt. Maybe the total rework of the PC version will be better.

-
Would help if i could, but im very busy with projects at the moment(www.project-ukf.com) O2 can be a pain at most times, but it does get very easy to use when you get used to it.
-
Love what your doing Dante, if i had the time i would love to help out with some models and textures. Flashpoint really needs a future mod.
And the chaps going on about G-police, i loved that game too and yes it was a shame Psygnosis disapeared, as they did a lot of stuff that was original, advanced and well presented. Shame their isnt many companies around like that anymore

Dante, what are your ideas to Armed assault? as its edging closer and it would be a great idea to have a future project for Armed assault.

-
Its a nice idea, Codemasters could hire some addon makers and give them a cut of the profits from DLC. Im pretty sure alot of addon makers would jump at the chance to get some money from this.
Im free

-
Well if i was a publishing company i sure would be biting BIS hands off to get Armed assault out in the shops. It will be another million seller easily.
-
Well, i do like it (doesn't say they will do it). I have now a very powerful $400 xbox360 (gaming console, that is a machine to play games!
at home but i have to upgrade a pc for $300-$600 just to be able to enjoy ArmA.That is just ridiculous. A game dev also should make console versions (or choose to ignore millions of sometimes very fanatic, hard-core, and imo as intelligent as pc gamers. Btw, imo spending days tweaking pc hw/sw over just plain 100% gaming is a way of gaming i cannot afford anymore. My gametime is limited and should not be consumed by pc hw/sw issues)
Problem with your powerful xbox 360 is it doesnt allow you to mod for it. 1 of the best things about flashpoint is the ability to mod for it. Its a fact that PC users would not still be playing it for over 5 years now if you couldnt mod for it.
Im guessing like everyone that Codemasters cant be bothered to mod for this game, its a shame, but the only thing you guys can do is either write to codemasters or buy a nice big fat PC and enjoy the 1000s of addons and upgrades we have in our community

-
Yeah 60 players promised, really hope they get the mp right as that was the biggest annoyance of Flashpoint, brilliant games were had, but then the lag/desync would kick in half way through and really mess the game up. Multiplayer in vehicles was really quite unplayable also. Fingers crossed eh?
-
Looking good. Yeah its a nice idea and if pulled off could work very well. I would love to do sci fi weapons/vehicles based on present vehicles. Keep up the good work.
-
Leyland Daf 4x4 GS is deffo a yes. I know the Irish use the TCV but what exactly does the fecker look like or is it just a different name for the general service?
-
Also, there seems to be a lot of military traffic lately coming down from Brecon. Â I hope its the end of a training exercise not a bird flu precaution!

Can ya get any images for us

We currently have a lot of other addons that require our time at the moment and adding another "re-mapp" to our already large amount of work will just slow us down. If you have any ideas however of something that is much needed for the British side of things then post in our addon ideas section PUKF homepage ...
Please note that you should use the search funtion before making such posts as we may have had already a lot of things covered

Keep the system as it is. Just offer better support for addon makers. Flashpoint is still played due to the large amount of quality addons that people have worked hard on for free. It also provides BIS with future staff as we all know a few guys that have been taken on to develop the future titles. So what if it takes time to download a addon.
What you guys are saying will make a system where people will have to pay for addons because someone in BIS will have to check the addons that get submitted to them...
