I have this Maruks ID number but am not sure if im allowed to post it on these forums, if anyone wants to add it to their server ban list please contact me. Also i have a question on id numbers, basically that cheating idiot (who id like to add spoils the game and other peoples enjoyment, and really deserves a good kicking) has a 10 digit id number, while i and many others have a 8 digit number, is it only 505 version that has 8 digits?

Its sad to have us normal people put in this situation because of our government. I hate terrorists, but i hate governments just as much. Its a problem with either nvidia drivers or armas code. If you ask most nvidia players they too will tell you that they have had this random chrash and memory error problem. Its only been since patch 1.08 so its deffo not a heat issue. My computer now runs quite stable, but i have had to have some settings (that could easily go to very high, with not much trouble) to high or normal due to the chrashes. My mate also has a 8800 and he too used my settings (im running a 7900gs) and now he doesnt chrash out. Its a shame to not have the settings higher, but would rather have a stable game.

Got the great spectate scripts too that do the trick of checking out the morons

As someone has already said. Use a server that always has admins on. Our server (volcbat) has a admin on most of the time and we have very strict rules and we dont mind offering out bans to repeat offenders. If people were to follow our lead then these idiots that want to ruin game will not be able to play the game in the end due to them being banned off all the servers. Lets get tough on these scumbags and bam em from ruining our enjoyment

Try using the -maxmem=512 in your shortcut target if you havent already tried. Also make sure your graphic settings are not on default.

Id rather see bug fixes then have textures and models changed. After all when o2 is released (come on BIA we want o2 ) all your dreams of what you want in game can come true. Really cant wait for o2

Have you tried the "-maxmem=512" line in your shortcuts target bar? Also been looking at some of the complaints and they are very silly. Really think some people are expecting way too much on a small developer that has made a game much bigger then any game i have ever played. My advice to anyone moaning about this is just leave the community and play something else

He is using 106 that is why not many people are on as we are all using 108 now. Im sure you will be able to find a 108 patch from these forums.

Its a shame you have to put lower settings on to play the game that would normally easily run at higher settings. Im gonna try putting my textures onto normal now instead of default to see if that stops me chrashing (the maxmem has stopped the artifacts so thats one good thing)

Its a 7 series problem as members of volcbat have the same issue since 1.08, Its results in a chrash too as im running a 7900gs and have crazy artifacts all over the place. only recommend updating to latest driver and having the -maxmem=512 in your shortcut. Lets hope a hotfix can be introduced for us 7900 users

Anyone using the nvidia 7 series, download latest drivers from nvidia site, (ForceWare Release 90 Version: 94.24 Release Date: May 31, 2007) Place in armas shortcut target (right click scroll down to properties) "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -maxmem=512 Turn textures detail in arma options to default. I did recieve the crazy artifacts on screen since installing patch 1.08 and also kept recieving chrash to desktops. 2 more of my team members did too and they too did not have problems till 1.08 Its a lil more stable since i have done the things ive stated here but am not impressed with a patch that made my working copy into something that seems to have some major chrashes if i were to leave it as a standard install. Hopefully a hotfix or another patch will be released soon. Sytem specs... Makes me laugh when you still have people moaning! I know plenty of games i have purchased recently that still have major issues that will never be fixed! I am having very little issues and will have a lot less when the 500! fixes are done. Good work BIS keep on supporting the arma community even if some are moaning gits! Loving it! Graphics look great on my system, game plays well, and draw distance is amazing, also think netcode has improved loads from the laggy days of flashpoint. If you wanna run arma well, get a nvidia 7900gs with 3 gig of decent corsair ram and a nice Amd athlon 5200 x2 minimum of cash and fuss!

Nah they still have problems going over and seem to either stutter or turn left or right into the rails. The ai is well scared crossing bridges it seems, vertigo perhaps? Really should be sorted out as it really is a big bug concerned with making missions where you need ai to get their arses over a bridge!

Notice the the amount of facial hair on their profiles? Im guessing they also used black and white images due to the lack of being outside in the sun! Really cant understand what a bunch of muppets are doing making hacks (or pretending they do) and making money from it. Surely this has to be illegal as it could damage sales of certain games.

Im well happy with Arma too! Its just enough to be better then ofp, but also very little changes (apart from gfx and extras like multi guns) I see it becoming very interesting when the tools are finally released (should have been released with the game in my opinion though as they would have recieved a lot more interest) Cant beat the feeling you get when you see a chopper controlled by your mate coming in for a landing, throwing dust in your face and the actual suspention on the chopper bouncing when they touch down! Its a masterpiece and if people were just to look at the depth and work involved with this series then they would probs moan a lil less about it. I recommend a buy!

You could just ask someone to send you the mission files over the net if that isnt in any way illegal? You have purchased a legal copy and its only fair you should have the same version as the Americans.

I look at it sometimes while playing and think wow! Â This game is special and keeps improving with the patches. Â Really cant wait for the tools to be released and then we will see part 2 of armed assault open up in many ways. Â Some bugs are annoying but i can live with them as i know they will be fixed due to BIS commitment to the community. Â Good work chaps Â

Im running a 7900gs but id recommend a 7950 as they are cheap and run armed assault very well with most settings on max. Just make sure you have a decent processor and also 2+ gig of ram (depending on your operating system)

Guns will never be banned in USA due to the constitution. The police were at fault and should be held responsible for theiir lack of action. Americans contradict themselfs when it comes to reasons why they are armed to the teeth in the first place.
