The thing is that I get this even with two or so units. With only one shooting!

This is a recent thing. I did not used to have this problem. I will do some more testing and report back.

Dear all,

I have CO with the newest patches. Along with newest ACE stable release, Jsrs sound mod, JTD smoke, zeus ai and a few other mods. I am now experiencing a bug where the smoke effects 'reset' It happens mostly when using tank shells HE and DU. Or when there are lots of explosions. I know there is a limit to the number of effects allowed on screen. But it has gotten much worse. I have tried to remove addons to find out what is causing it but it happens no matter what I try....:(

Any advice?

[Arma 2 Addon request thread]

Tracers in real life do not look stretced as thay do in Arma 2. They look this way on tape due to the frame rate of the footage. In reality they look like little balls. Why nobody has done this since FFUR mod for Operation Flashpoint is beyond me. I have no idea where to even start to make this so I leave it to the community. PLEASE could someone make realistic tracers! I am sure it wouldnt be too hard. And it would really up the immersion.

[Adding arma 2 to OA]

Dear peeps,

I have the wonderful OA standalone with various mods and the latest patch (not beta) I have been given a copy of Arma 2 and I would love to create a combined operation instalati on. I have looked at some posts and to be honest I am confused. What exactly do I need to do and what patches do I need for arma 2 to make sure they work perfectly.

I am using FAS and WFX for OA standalone. I have a few problems though. Firstly the smoke rises way too fast. and the vehicle fire spins around.. I dont know if its a compatability error with WFX..

I have OA standalone and I cannot load any saves. I get a CTD and an error about not being able to load and then then save name. I read somewhere else that it could be because of CBA not being fully compatible with OA. But I have the latest Version of CBA..

There is no AH-1 in standalone OA, so there is something wrong to your files.

If you use a Addon that need ArmA II data files (like Air2.pbo) you're doomed.

Solution...reinstall with ArmA II as base install.

Why doomed? all I have to do is remove the addons right?

Also OA causes the smoke to rise and dissapate far too quickly. Other than that its all good. I love this addon so much. Just thought I would say so. :D

I have a few mods installed so it may be this but i get an error when trying to use the AH-1. I am using OA standalone.

Oh and why does my list of objects have a duplicate that causes an error if you try to use it???

I LOVE this addon. It is fantastic work. Thank you so much. I have a problem though. I am using this with OA standalone. I have the arrow curser on screen everytime i use the AC-130 optics. and i can see the c130 it is attached to.... any ideas??

Secondly, has anyone else got a bug with the FAS addon? my smoke is moving way too fast and it causes the fire to rotate....

ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead 1.52 update + Dedicated Server

It makes sense, cause it merges the two different game-versions which were released to the same version.

So why do I have 1.51? Does it matter that the patch is for 1.50? Because as my other post says I get an error when trying to patch...

I have arma 2 and OA installed and working together. But two of the three map names are not displayed. they work otherwise. I also cannot update to 1.52. My version number of OA is 1.51. I have sucessfully patched arma 2.

My version number is 1.51 and everytime i try to patch it i get this error message:

Update 1.51-1.52\COMMON\CA.PBO.UPD cannot be applied, error xdelta3 returned error code 1.

I tried downloading it from many different sites. same error.

I updated CBA and it worked. I also launch the game with ArmA 2 + OA using a modified .cmd.
