    more inaccuracy on AI!

    Goodday! I want to know of a way to inflict minor dammage on a unit's arms, so they will not aim so accurate as they currently do in OFP , but more like FDF. And no, i do NOT want to use HD weapons . I know that inflicting dammage on a selected bodypart with a script is possible I know that hands can be "dammaged" on diffrent levels, from "a bit off" till "aiming with your feet". I hope to hear a solution soon, so that i can make FDF-aiming possible without requiring my new clan to download a 500 MB mod Greets, Deniz//Gandaf//Gladiator
  2. Allright, so you either got a new copy of OFP and you feel screwed because your copy doesn't looks like those pics in the combat photography thread? get your improvements here! The categories should be pretty clear. A unit replacement is ment to replace units and effects,as shown here (Y2K3). so you can play any mission with new units. It might also enhance AI. Unit replacements have issues online unless everybody uses the replacement. As you might have figured out, since the units you have are being enhanced, allmost all of the things listed below come with a performance pentaly, but this does not mean thesame as "render the game unplayable". experiment about to see what your system can handle.     Poseidon II , the ultimate engine?

    Just look at this quickly created list: * dynamic destroyable buildings * join in progress * dynamic campaigns * advanced ragdoll (*) * Dx9 * direct control of other people * control of other groups of people * creating stuf ingame * modifying different parts of the game, choose your own sky, high-detail islands, unit replacements, etc * easy use of user-made models * ability to drive,gun,command, fly, or get transported in vehicles * multiple gun positions * close-combat-battle scripting * rescripting of AI * animals, that can use their own scripted AI * dynamic weather * day/night simulation * fog, fog scripting, etc * adapt the time to your wishes and many more features.... so I was thinking... could this be the best engine on earth? Allot of engines are specialised in one area, but don't pay allot (if any)attention to other areas... I guess it's true what they say... the best technology originates from the battlefield * during the E3 demonstration of the Unreal Engine 3 they called it that... they showed multiple ropes tied together, being pulled around by the mouse. so ragdoll means (afaik) the simulation of joints.

    Break your OFP discs, now . Pierre, looks great! hope you'll find a way to make the (for example) landing of the choppers a bit more extreme (setvelocity maybe? to compensate for the AI's unnatural "tidy" landings) . EDIT: Also, if you need some "more human" shots I keep myself reccomended for online acting .

    Last mission in OFP(capture Guba) What did you do?

    I killed guba in UAZ because he was a triator and coulnt accomplish simple task - wipe out americans. Then as you know there was nuclear missle launch that destroyed everyting on those forsaken islands. After that WW3 starts and everybody is happy. nicked the Hind and used sir Guba as a free falling bomb on the SCUD, ironicly, he lived, after wich I pounded the damn thing with the rest of my men, mission failed.

    FDF Mod - UAV Training.

    It had to do something with the object ID of the gate. this was multiplied somewhere, or changed. either way: easy way to fix this is for SOMEBODY to dePBO the mission, change the object Id in the trigger, and re-pbo it. ...pity for you guys I am working on something else now .

    Wouln't work. Why? OFP also has missions that dont involve killing (Ie racing) , or have coop missions where you have to lie in ambush for ten minutes or something. Plus, we don't use respawn in allot of (coop) missions. In short: OFP is too complex to find a way of measuring how "good" you are. Plus, there is no reason why you cannot pick up a anti-tank rifle. the point is that YOU have to learn to use it, not your ingame muppet. good example of this is learning to use grenade launchers, or new AT weapons. etc.

    What's that boring dude? This guy spent more than 30 days 5 hours a day to make this movie, with no offense...I'm not sure that 'boring' would be quite enough to argue about your point of view. Regards TB84 Even if he spend four years developing that movie my judgement would still be thesame: to me it was over five minutes of setacctime 0.2 / explosions, it just got boring after awhile . Ofcourse, Pierre can do with it whatever he wants, allot of people like his videos, so maybe it's just Breaker and me .

    five and a half minutes of looking at slowmotion special effects... not special. with the exeption of the AAA tracer scenes, wich I liked because they reminded me of a different movie! (RA2yr intro), wich I am sure wasn't your goal . all in all: boring.

    About the waves not appearing in the water: On a screnshot (scanned from the magazine) I can also see the waves at the sea stopping suddenly (at about 300 meters). so I think it has got to do with drawdistance. Btw, anybody noticed something "different" from the way the corpses fall when the tank explodes? (video) . they're thesame, yet a bit more.. I don't know, shaky? maybe it's the animations redone, maybe it's hardcoded that the "death" animations make some small random movements . No ragdoll though.

    It is semi-possible for OFP craft to have dynamic indicators on the "sight". why semi-possible? well, DKM did it, here's how (as far as I could see) They made the "V" sight simply zoom the screen IN a bit (like with the jeep MG) , so it looked trough the accurately modelled and working HUD.

    Hope Realism is a factor

    -It is generally assumed a person in combat carrying X kilograms of gear doesn't jump. -running sideways is possible, running sideways and making headshots is another. CEM is the arcade version of OFP's system. + when you are scared, your aim gets worse (lack of squad) + when you are shot in the arms, your gun sways + the more stable you are, the less your gun sways the big plus: YOUR AIM ISN'T SHOWN AS A ROUND CIRCLE BUT AS A FECKING DOT THAT ATLEAST REASLISTICLY AIMS WHERE YOUR BULLET WOULD LAND!! what is your point with this thread? the first paragraph only says the action menu is a bitch (and it is when the addonmaker has made every door / window of your car openable) , and the second paragraph talks about downgrading ofp?!

    I think you just lost all your potential members . First off: naming OFP in one sentence as EA's "military game" is strictly forbidden. secondly: "clans" , the OFP community prefers to use the term "virtual squad", matches the job more realisticly .

    Though Invasion 1944 is releasing videos there is a large chance they won't release their mod. When you take into account the time they spend on it it is understandable. The biggest problem is that part of their team are perfectionist in such a way they keep the mod delayed untill "they" are happy with it. I will probably get some heavy things thrown at me on MSN, but these are the facts as I know it (from two inside members).
