The easiest way would be to print out a Ffur / Y2K3 config and read it again, and again, untill you understand what mr. pappy / thunderbird has done. -

God of death, if I knew where in Amsterdam you'd live exactly I would've come over and kissed you. -
If possible, I'd like to see the Resistance controllable aswell. It would start with control of all towns, but cannot built a base. Instead, they have a number (five?) of "small camps", that can be moved. They cannot buy tanks, planes, nor choppers, only infantry, BUT they'd have some uber sand-wall technology, wich enables them to... well, dig in on just about any spot imaginable. they'd have a "specialised RPG" too , that has damage values good enough to disable a BMP or T72, but not destroy it. That way the resistance would be able to get their hands on armour. Not realistic, but hey! gameplay gameplay!!

Sentry, here's a suggestion: The gun pod in the V80/KA50 chopper "moves" when the player aims / flies. What about you use that sort of system on the Orca's engines? to animate them nice/realisticly? -

It is possible, just not done. Personally I find 1 AI tanks quite funny at times, not because they save me (mission maker) AI, but also because it makes for some hectic tank TDM's. I hope somebody makes a 1 AI M113 / BMP / rest of the vehicles too. Especially a Shilka could do fine with one. -
If so, I think Bis should support this from the start .

That's not very realistic, the left hand is usually on the cyclic controls (to control pitch and roll) do you have to give comment on every fucking thing I say? let me rewrite then: ANYWHERE BUT DOING NOTHING! happy now? since when did you showed interest in ArmA btw?

Sentry, you are planning for a demo this christmas, yet making stuff for Arma? Also, I really suggest you try to bring the ammount of polygons on that soldier down, "arma can handle more polygons" for sure, but it also uses techniques that render those uber detailed models useless... -
Playing CTI over an area "the size of all OFP:r islands combined" sounds pretty interesting to me... 1. The best parts of CTI we wish to keep. 1. Mass warfare, thought about infrastruture, 2. The 'game' elements that are not realistic and want to get rid of. none, really. 3. Methods of employing the 'game' elements in a more realistic way. see below. 4. Everything else I missed I'd like to be able to "steal" enemy technology. --------- + You can buy "propaganda vehicles" , that clear towns of resistance (or prevents them from spawning) +A new (changed?) way to get supplies is per boat or plane! The routes could be mapped out by the commander. Via a GUI you could load up choppers, planes and LCAC's in thesame way you load up a soldier: X soldiers? well that leaves X ammount of space free, more soldiers? or put in a vehicle? The type of transport determines the price, depending on capacity and "peed of delivery". If you have purchased blackhawks/chinooks you can also order them to be available for "ferry service", releaving the economic stress of your side. Air Delivery could be made with stuff varying from a blackhawk, Chinook, C130. For the east this could be a MI8 , MI26 , or Antonov 124 (hey! russians have more experience with air cargo! Infantry could be dropped via plane (fast) small vehicles could be paradropped or plane lands and unloads (still fast) tanks would have to be delivered by (for instance) a LCAC. (slow and vonurable) When infantry has landed,or the armour has arrived (both have to be delivered within 500M of the base) they get switched to your command.

This sounds unique, Can you tell me a wee bit about taht possibly? You must give your flag to one of the enemy, and the enemy must tk the flag carrier. I think it's either "get a flag from a centalised point" , or "get the flag(carrier) to the other person's flagpole" Specop, I know you're trying to make this a succes, buuuut.... THIS PROJECT IS FEAKING ENORMOUS! and you've already started so many peojects, seriously, do you think you can finish this one? this is like four times FDF's work! Either way, I am quite interested in how you did Earth, same way as the deathstar I presume?

randomised (or simply larger) bumpmapmaps for the ground would be nice, but a little heavy on the system (more data to store / read). Something that I can see is that they use the Res. pilotanimations. Not that I give an awfull lot, but two hands on the stick would be nice (hahaha... )

Aaaah yes... On my way to school I always come across the IBM office in Amsterdam, and the entire structure just screams out that CnC feel... Since Cheetah lives in Amsterdam aswell you might want to pursuade him into having a look at it . -

I have a coop mission, originally made with BOH specops, Nimmods weather, and St Rémy island. Made for a max of four people, the task of the mission is to kill everybody in the harbour. -

I understand it can be used to announce fansites (wich is unnecicary with the information we have), or discussing the features we do know. However, looking at the first page I only see the "how shall we celebrate the release" thread as "allowed" (since there are no questions, requests, or hopes in the first post), I think a topic like this could be moved to BI General, don't you agree? I do not care what you hope to accomplish by treating us like this, however, seeying the Arma section heating up at a steady pace in the last week, I think it is better to lock it down before more people do stupid things. Just my moderator instincs speaking though. Goodnight, Gandalf the White.

If threads get locked, they get locked for a reason . And no, I do not believe Bis will bring out Arma in Q4 (unless they put on a dramatic act), but for now they will not be giving us any information unless it's about VBS2.
