*STAB!* I am running a: AMD 2100 Geforce FX 5900 1024 MB DDR2 / PC3200 ata133 hdd's that's NOT low spec, but it still lags! and the point I think you guys fail to see: I am not the only one! Allot of people have perfectly fine rigs, but somehow it still lags the sh*t out of us! Thank god it's not so bad with single player missions, but some of the campaign missions were Ë› ! Good luck with that patch, I hope these great (cinematic wise?) campaign will one day become playable... sorry for stabbing you btw... *hands plaster*

don't post a reply without screen!! EDIT: I use hard light effect in my last screens (look here) , others use photoshop. . The picture below is outdated.. even before the time of Dxdll! tension in multiplayer.. What happened was... odd, he killed one guy, forgot he only had two bullets left, and got killed while reloading... another nice detail: those were the last (living) enemies on the map . good ol' pontifex.... -
nope, I indeed ment it per individual mission, pa-dam-tssj! A command for dedicated servers (unless those commands get introduced for client servers too) wouln't be too much of a luxury, yeh.

Yeah, it looks a bit like Doom III in the shadow department. I would like to see varying degrees of sharpness in the shadows depending on the weather. This isn't as arduous as it first sounds since we already have the most difficult shadows - the sharp projected ones. (...) It would be great to see a shadow dynamically blur as a cloud moves in front of the sun. the correct term for this is softshadowing. A problem, however, is that these shadows require double the ammount of data, making it only suitable when there aren't more then 10 units on the map at thesame time. to have this in a game designed to handle hundreds of units, buildings, and objects on-screen at thesame time! It's an okay suggestion, but the more I read the more I am thinking people are asking for the impossible (Suma, pull this off and i'll arrange your next generation ). I understand everybody has a dream... but there are limits to what hardware can do... However, an option to enable / disable it would ofcourse be welcome .

Well damn, that's a new one to me. We dont need 2 of those made I guess. What about desert pillows though? [/mock] please I mean stuff you can use for cover, shadow, etc... just houses and empty roads is "boring", to say the least. if you take suggestions, I suggest to make a new kind of road (one naturally formed by people's footsteps) , and model market stuff in that! so you've got three buildings (building / roadmarket / building) , instead of ten times as much .

Got any screens of piles of rubble? I suggest you ask Chris Death to make use of his buildings, or misc stuff. as seen here.

well, I don't see any scripts that give your landies a discoboll, hydraulics, of a purple camoscheme, so don't worry . EDIT: and if you implement ANY of that in the next version i'm taking a shovel and will be coming over to your house .

CSLA works okay on low configs, but the point is, that OFP itself cannot handle high configs. All these mods do their best to make their mods as playable as they can, but they overlook that simple fact... You mean the config, like detail or quality? Hmm ok... i must change my config... Thanks Gandalf. Raptor I mean the haredware. OFP runs less on a Geforce 6800 then on a Geforce 4 TI 4800....

hmmm, when the pilot ejects and hits the ground, would it be possible to remove his helmet and spawn one (and shute) on the ground? I find it hard to believe a pilot would carry such a helmet in enemy territory .

Yep. also, Farcry has diffrent priorities (good graphics) , but that's another issue. I think Amra will be pretty optimised, don't worry.

an option to attatch vehicles to other vehicles ( ?_mass (=<500) ? or unittype?) sounds okay, yeh... that would make scripting an MI-26 / chinook / skycrane / antonov a bit easier .

That's not actually correct. "OFP2" will be a battle simulator, as it's predecessor. Oh?? OFP1 wasn`t a game?! OMG then you have to tell that to Bohemia studios, because they obviosly don`t know considering they go on about talking stuff like: "From authors of a million selling GAME Operation: Flashpoint." Well, it's hard to create a completely new category for "all-round war simulator" , though now OFP is most likely classes as a tactical shooter. Point is that it requires more improvisation / brainpower then more linear games. it's the "do that, here's a pistol and a clip with nine rounds" game people wanted. the freedom is what attracts OFP players to it. OFP can be arcade, but it can also be made to a point it's almost not fun to play (Hd weapons). best thing is that it all works online without getting twenty-five ">>>CHEATER!!1!<<<" labels on your forehead, and every server has unique missions, instead of the (for example) 16 preset DM maps present in Halo. Oh?? So you are saying its gameplay is gonna suck?? Then I really don`t see why you are on this forum, everybody else here thinks its gameplay is gonna be superb. The gameplay will be superB because of it's realism. it offers something BF2 , MOH, CoD , and all those games are lacking: realism. this realism provides athmosphere, instead of the "wow! nice graphics" reaction that games like BF2 and CoD2 are currently doing. Were you ever "scared" by OFP? Kulgujev, you don't see a bloody thing, the firing just stopped, a shilka is rolling somewhere close, etc etc. or those moments where you have to keep moving , cause if you stop for a second you get assraped by a sniper you can't even see? OFP is made to simulate war. imo fear and disgust is a big part of this, and OFP is doing it's job very well at that. with those ECP blood effects you sometimes really think somebody's guts got blown clean out. Well,the kurs gets into trouble at sea, the crew of that kurs is captured, the kurs itself gets "dismantled", I see their point. Still, your stuff it nice . just wished I had chosen the option without FlashFx... any way to remove it without uninstalling / downloading installer again / reinstalling? pretty please?
