You can try this tweaks I posted in another thread. I had the exact same problems you described and i think your main problem is that video driver. When I first installed Vista about a week ago, my FPS was between 15-26 with horrendous lod problems and ctd's. Now it's stable as a rock averaging betwwn 38-50 with no polygon deformities and minimal lod loss. What did it was this cocktail of tweaks: 1.Got rid of the Official Nvidia driver and updated to 160.04 2. Updated sound drivers. 3.Added -maxmem 512 4. turned off paging file 5. You don't have to put anything in your addon folder. Just put the @six_misc and @six_tracers in your root Arma directory than add that to your target line.

Nice one ch_123! The 'read only' didn't work but moving my Atari to C drive did the trick. Last problem, my cpbo won't associate with my files nor directory. I thought this would have done the job.

Guys I've gotta Vista question. When I download a zip. or rar. file Vista won't allow me to extract directly into c/program files/atari/arma like Xp did. It states 'access is denied' or 'path not found'. I believe this might have something to do with administrator settings but can't locate where that might be. Any suggestions?

Kinda funny how we attack each other while waiting ie.1.08 Kinda sad... There's nothing wrong with showing updated clips of WIP if that's what the author wants to do. And while frustrating thats its not released when intended, we can surely agree that this is not intentionally done to frustrate - rather that the creator is not satisfied with releasing his mod bugged or unfinished.

Like I said before I didn't realize how much sound effected the overall immersion until your soundpack came came out for OFP- along with Solus's sonic crack With sounds as good as you've teased us with I'd have no problem with a big download beta AND a big download finish. good work Bro

This driver-160.04, cleaned up just about all of it,amazing! FPS back to 35-40 but the one thing is the game often hangs when I try to shut down leaving me to cntrl/alt/del to get out of it. If someone finds a good position without getting spotted - all the power to them. Frankly I suck at camping as i always get routed out. I'm better at the 'move and shoot'. I used to get pissed at the guy who finds the soft spot angle into the spawning zones in CTF. But it was kinda funny to frantically huddle together with your squaddies and find a way to beat him.

Generally I would always vote "Realism" first. However if the result is that tracers don't help you line up your shots and tip off the enemy that your outta ammo I'd rather have no tracers at all. Gameplay.

Phew! Feel like i just dodged a bullet! Ran patch and noticed my FPS in 'delivery Boy' had gone down from 35 -10/14 Then realized i had 3 mods running in launcher, unchecked them and bam, up to 38/45 fps. Haven't played long enough to see if lod problems that appeared on my 7900 after 1.05 but i like what I see so far. Thanks BIS for continuing your support of this game. I've been a gamer for many years and have never seen so much follow-thru and extended support by a developer - except maybe Mount&Blade, which is buggy as hell but fun
