    I dont think jip would be good, but what would be nice, is say you make a long mission (take HALO black op for example), say after you clear the first town, you get reinforcements (aka all waiting in lobby). So in real long missions there would be one or two points where the lobby would get integrated, coudl take over the dead squadmates spot. It wouldn't be in the middle of combat either (or might it? biggrin.gif) so the leader could get everybody organized.

    The way they do it in real life they just fly at an angle to the ground, really high up. Plus in ofp yo ucan fly sideways biggrin.gif

    For some reason, i have a feeling that the oh58 that came with the game got eatten by a harrier or some such other addon. This feeling is brought about by the 'cannot connect to server, addon oh58 required'

    I'm pretty sure it came with the game, cause none of the reskinned verions's work...Can anybody pm me with thier aim or e-mail or something and send it to me? I'd rather not reinstall the whole game...

    Oh, maybe its reddawn specific, cause i cant play some missions there either.

    Edit :found it on the gold cd...now if i could delete this post...

    As far as i know the commander commands, not turns the turret, the turret is turned only by the gunner. This makes sense in multilpayer or the gunner might be traversing left, and the commander going right and then what would happen...

    Ever been stuck waiting for the guy who you know is getting a soda? But he's a good guy so you dont want to kick him. Admins should be able to autogreen so at least everybody can start d/ling the mission.

    I mean, granted autogreen all the way through could be abused, but if admins could green people up through the screens pre-briefing, it would be great.

    I agree.

    I hate to say it for fear of the massive flames, but when we are flying around in all the new shiny jets, better range would be nice tounge.gif Right now its kinda unrealistic imo

    Nope, I'll say that 99% of people who paintball couldn't. But i play with some ex Delta guys...and i can break even on the range with most of em, if not win (with a sniper rifle). Peopl ethink im nuts to bring a ghille suit to a paintball tourney...till they can't find me biggrin.gif

    That galaxy could landon a carrier. Now, the damage sustained to the carrier, and the plane (wing/superstructure would prolly collide) would be immense, but could happen if it had to. If i remember correctly, Carriers can land 747s in emergencys, like air force one,or a crippled passenger jet.

    today, ya, hard to find, but what about back 15ish years ago. The russians mass produced Yaks and stuff, you could find a hanger of em, salvage one or two and fly em with parts from the others, no?

    The problem with the F-16 type stuff (aka fast jets) is that you couldn't dogfight, you'd be way to fast and the way dogfights work in real life nowdays, they're no fun. I mean sit miles out and shoot missiles at each other. Now, i havent figured how to work this into the correct West/East setting, but the resistance could easily get thier hands on some nice WWII planes, you know, 5 guns on the wings, nice for strafing/dogfighting. These kinda things you could actually use in a small scale battle, about the same as you can use HELOs.

    Even if they couldn't penetrate tanks, they can still pin (sorry, wargaming language). If yer getting shot, even if yer not getting hurt, yer still rattled, i mean guys hit the deck, tanks might take evasive action, etc
