Yeah, Trill(ian) is very good. I love the RSS and email plugins. For Jabber though I usually use Exodus(had some problems w/ Trill's Jabber plugin). On Linux GAIM or Kopete for the most part.

Hopefully the(is there one currently?) Palestinian PM will have some real power now. Atleast the one that Arafat kept from doing anything a little while ago seemed like he might have been fairly good. With that and some of the Israeli pull-outs from some disputed areas might do a lot to help bring real peace to that region. The only things that worry me are if there will be terror attacks by Palestinian terror groups(I know, I know, its not like Israel killed Araft, but its not like these terrorist groups are exactly in touch with reality) in response to Arafat's death, and if another leader like Arafat will replace him. Hopefull they Palestinians will get some real leadership, not just more of the same.

Definately DVD. By the time OFP2 comes out, a vast majority of people (atleast gamers, and others really into computers) will have DVD burners, and everybody(unless they have like a 8 year old system) will have a DVD Reader. 1 DVD is so much nicer to use than several CDs. I can't stand installing Linux from a multi-CD distro from CDs, I always use DVDs(not too many other software things come on DVDs ATM, atleast things that I use).

It could be a good idea, but there would be problems with size and resolution. People run at different resolutions, and unless you'd make the movie for the highest one possible, it would look blurry to many people. There are also non-standard(not 4:3) monitor sizes, such as the 15.4" display on my laptop. The movie would look stretched on that. And to make a movie that's very long, at that high of resolution, it would have to be pretty large, unless you used a codec that compressed it heavily, which would make it look blurry, especially where there's a lot of motion.

I never said that Al-Qaeda was connected to Saddam-era Iraq. I said that Iraq/Saddam supported terrorists, which they did, by giving money to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. They undeniably supported acts of terrorism against Israel. Though this might go better in the mid-east thread.

These people would, and have gladly murdered innocent men, women, and children. They can wait for the rest of their lives for all I care. Its not like these people are just random people pulled off the streets. These were people who were fighting for Al-Quaeda(you'd think I'd know how to spell that by now...) and the Taliban. The justice system is slow. Even for a murder here in my home town(Wichita, KS ), a murder that occured in the summer or 2002(I think), is just now coming to trial. Imagine having to create cases against hundreds of people, and having to coordinate that with people half way around the world. I think they should, and they will be charged and brought to justice for their crimes. I think sending them back to their home countries, is a very bad idea. Think of a little while back when we gave the Brits some of their people from Guantanimo. As soon as they were in Britain, what'd the Brit's do? Try them? Nope. Start an investigation? Nope. They set them free. Are those people killing innocent people in Israel, or Iraq, or fighting to disrupt elections in Afghanistan? Or maybe even part of a larger terror plot against the US or Europe? Who knows. Yep, countries like Iraq(formerly), Iran, and Afghanistan(formerly).

You need to buy the Resistance addon pack, just look on ebay, you can probably get it for just a few bucks. You could also get OFP:GOTY which would include both OFP:CWC and Resistance. It might be easier to find today than just the OFP:Resistance upgrade. To delete the missions you've made in the mission editor, delete the folders in the OFP/Users/[your_OFP_username]/missions/ folder. You might want to copy them someplace else in case you ever want to use them again.

I don't see why there's really a need to go that high. Even with the view distance on the max(5,000m), you still wouldn't be able to see the ground from that height. There would be no visible difference between 13,500m, and a much lower height. That's one area I think OFP needs to improve upon in future versions(larger view distances especially for seeing aircraft from the ground, and seeing the ground vehicles/buildings from planes).

128 megs of RAM really isn't enough to play OFP. I would suggest trying to get atleat 512mb. You can usually get more RAM sticks for a relatively low cost at any major store in your area such as Best Buy, Circuit City or CompUSA(or an equivalent in Poland). You should try to find out if your computer has SDRAM or DDR RAM and also see if you can find out how many RAM slots your computer has(easy to tell by opening case) and how much each slot can take. I apoligize if I misunderstood your problem/question.

I think this is a lot different than the other events you listed Red Oct because: A) Its not people killing people(well, maybe arguably through ignorance, but not intentionally killing people), its nature killing people, and B) the Titanic was a long time ago, people generally don't swell up with tears when people talk about it because unless they're really, really old they weren't even alive when it happened, and even if they were they probably didn't know anybody on it. You may not like it, but atleast its more creative than yet another WWII or Vietnam game. Atleast they're actually innovating and doing something different. That said, depending on the way they do it, they could disrespect the people on the ship, but just the topic of the game doesn't IMO cause it to be sick.

lol bowery well i say a huge NO it will destroy our community, we will have than a community like in FS 2002 orFS 2004!!! LET THAT NEVER HAPPEND PLZ!!! ditto. MS Flight Sim has really been ruined by payware addons and utilities. To get a real nice aircraft these days, you'll usually have to spend $.(of course there are a some definite exceptions). At first they were just a little bit, maybe ten or fifteen dollars, but of course they're now like forty or fifty dollars. The path the FS community has taken over the last few years is really angering and tragit, especially so since many of the people see no problem with it. If you're making an addon for a game, you should be doing it because you either wanna make the game better, or because you enjoy it, not because its part of some get-rich-quick scheme. If just doing it to make money, then you're hurting the community.

I would kind of agree. If you're too lazy to download a few popular addons to play MP, then, well, that's your problem. Don't make the rest of us suffer because you can't be bothered to spend 5 minutes out of your day downloading a few addons.

I think the SR-71 Blackbird was originally going to be a fighter/intercepter(I assume ThudBlunder's pic is of one of the ones used in that program), and later became the spy plane.

Definately a CH-46. We have a AH-1W(well not finished, but still kind of usable), a CH-53, a few Seakings, and I think someone was making a KA-60. At one time I think BAS was making a CH-46 but it got put on back burner, and now they're not even around.

I wonder if any of this activity could be caused by the earthquake the other day in California? Does anyone know enough about geology to know if there could be a relation?
