I'm kind of doubtful that much will be said about OFP2 this year, or any time in the near future. Â I'd love to be proven wrong, but with OFP Xbox, and VBS, I'm kind of thinking that OFP2 may be pushed to the back burner, or be rushed out just kind of integrating some of the VBS stuff with the changes made to the game in OFP Xbox. Â BIS's silence is kind of worrying me. Â I would be satisfied with just a "yes we are actively working on OFP2", but I doubt that will happen.

Wasn't there someone asking for something like this a while ago? (I can't remember exactly when, but atleast somewhere around a year-ish).

Why on earth would an agency allow someone to take classified documents home? If that's the kind of security they have, then it makes me wonder what else of theirs has made it onto the internet/into the wrong people's hands(either by file sharing, intentional leaks/espionage, etc.).

Looks pretty cool! Think I'll have to take this baby for a test flight

I got six. PM me for invites.

Knowing more details about how life may have formed/the conditions it formed under can only help us to determine what other moons/planets/extra-solar planets could possibly have/had life.

What exactly should we do instead of spending money on space exploration? Space exploration helps all of man kind and improves our future. Eventually, as long as we keep up exploring space, everyday people will probably live on other planets. Maybe not in any of our life times, but it won't happen ever if we just spend that money on fixing "problems" here on earth. What if cavemen millions of years ago just kept using fire from lightning instead of learning how to make it themselves? They had to take a risks, and make sacrifices using time that might have been spent finding food or defending themselves. If anything, more money needs to be spent on space exploration. We need manned missions to places like Titan and Europa, and Mars, and we need to make more of an effort to find life out side of our solar system. We should make it a priority to find asteroids that come will come near the earth, and develop methods to change their course if necessary. We should find ways to use the minerals on asteroids, other planets, and moons. I'm not saying that we shouldn't try to improve peoples lives, but we should not sacrifice knowledge and man kind's future for that. Curiosity has always driven mankind to go further. We shouldn't stop that now. There will always be problems here on earth, even if every penny is spent on trying to fix them and every single person works for to try to fix them. Some of the problems we just have to accept for now and move on, possibly coming back later if we think we know how to fix them then. I'm talking about space exploration and problems here on earth very broadly and making a lot of generalizations....so keep that in mind.

Congrats to ESA and JPL! At first I thought that pic there was from the Mars rovers, it looks very similar to Mars (atleast to me). It sounds like that it worked once it was on the graound for a lot longer than they expected. And as well as the river like things, it almost looked like there was an ocean or maybe a lake/lakebed on the right part of the pic it took from before it landed.

I don't know whether to say "lol" or to say "sad but true"...

I'm really excited about this as well. Hopefully when I get up to go to school tomorrow I'll be able to see some photos of the surface of Titan. Do you know if the countdown thing on Cassini's website(about 12 hours now) is the time that it will actually start hitting the atmosphere or the time that we'll get the signal? I also think it would be better if they had some more time to do stuff but I bet the insanely cold temperatures make it very difficult for something to last very long. And if it hits Titan's equivalent of water then I doubt it will last more than a few seconds. And slightly off topic: I'm also interested in the New Horizons mission(if all goes well budget wise) to Pluto. Pluto's the only planet not to have been visited by a probe or atleast had one fly by. Unfortunately it (from what I've heard) would probably just fly by Pluto and go Kuiper Belt to look for mini-planets. I guess to get it all the way out to Pluto in a reasonable amount of time it would have to go fast enough that it would take a lot of fuel to slow down to get into an orbit around Pluto, but still.... And I've heard about NASA thinking about sending balloons and flying things to Mars in the next 5-10 years, which sounds very neat.

Mi-26 "Halo" and soviet pilot pack relased
edc replied to DPS -CCCP-'s topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
This is a really nicely done addon. The crane and cargo scripts are the easiest to use and highest quality that I have seen yet. The only suggestions I have to improve it is to get the AI to work with cargo inside and to have all variants replaced with wreckage or a destroyed versions when they crash(maybe a few more destroyed versions as well). -
The good thing about people as stupid as this guy(WTF did he need bombs for?), is that they are dumb enough to do something that will obviously get them caught.

What missions are they, and what addons do they use? Maybe try redownloading the addon. It might be corrupted. You could also try using it in the mission editor, to see if its the mission or the addon(s) but AFAIK P3D's are model files and are only used in addons. OFP is probably crashing when loading the briefing because its loading the addons for that mission then as well.

Well, it would be defending people from persecution. Like World War II(though we didn't know what went on until later), Bosnia, etc. Or freedom. That could be like Somalia, depending on your viewpoint Iraq, the First Persian Gulf War, etc. I apologize if my post is hard to read, its 4:30 AM here.

I would think that "dying for your country" would mean dying for what your country believes in, or the ideals that people in your country generally hold. Whether that be freedom, end of persecution, safety for homeland, etc. The person may be fighting for another country's freedom, or to free another country from persecution, but its defending the ideals of your nation.

hehe. Could definately be rather cute/funny.

I think some of the frigates(Grisha, Krivak, Neustrashimy) would be pretty nice. Amphib stuff would be to, if someone could maybe make a script or something so it could carry tanks an other vehicles. Without that, then an amphibious ship would just be a prop for the most part. I think the Kara class ships and the Moscow would be too big to really use in OFP. Maybe for offshore artillery support, but other than that it would be difficult to find a use for. And for fire support type stuff, a Juliett or an Echo might be nice with CoC UA built into it, to act as a counterpart to the Tomahawk(I think some of the older Soviet SSG's were deployed with missiles that could target ground targets. I'm thinking they were nuclear but we could always make believe). Speaking of CoC, how're they coming along with the next version of UA?

The revoler looks beautiful Another M4 would be kind of redundant but atleast from the last pics you're making it a less generic, probably not done version.

I don't have any textures in the cab either. Even with that and the bridge problem this is one awesome addon. Good job

You probably should try emailing Codemaster again or attempt to contact them via another method of communication. http://www.codemasters.com/contact
