I tried this 4 times earlier and imho it needs some more work. The Chinook dropping us off didn't leave 3 out of the 4 times and most of the squad didn't move after getting out. When the chinook did leave it hovered away in the distance but could still be seen, can you make it go away a bit further so it looks like it's completly gone.

Really enjoying this sound mod. The aircraft sound great, is there any way you can make them even louder though? A jet flying low overhead should almost deafen you.

Any idea how i can get the earplugs to work? Without them i go deaf very quickly and can't hear a thing. I've put my profile name into the userconfig and have got them in my equipment but i can't get them to work at all. Any ideas?

That means exactly what it says, the files mentioned inside the \userconfig\ACE folder is outdated and needs to get updated. Find the updated files inside \@ACE\store\userconfig.tarThank you very much, that fixed it.

Anyone got any idea what this means? I get it everytime i start a new mission, it comes up for a few seconds then goes again. Also i don't seem to be able to use things like the goggles in ACE. I did post this in the troubleshooting forum as i thought that is where it should go, i hope this is the right place to ask as i got told off last time.

Is there any way to increase stamina? I know it depends on what you are carrying but it seems like you can't run too far without blacking out and falling over. Once you have blacked out it seems to take ages before you can walk or run any distance without blacking out again.

PLease, please, please could you change it so sometimes the Mi8 is used instead of the hind. If i don't shoot the hind down fairly soon in the mission it ends up killing all my men. Still the best mission ever made IMO, i never get bored of it.

I think i may have found a bug. If i select a small team and try and change the loadout of the ai not in my team the game frezzes and i have to restart Arma2.

What about some kind of counter attack while you are waiting for extraction. Enemy mi17's would be good too instead of it always being a hind.

Haven't played this in mp yet but it is probably the best sp mission ever imo. Love the way it is completly different every time you play it. Would it be possibe to add some kind of air support to it? I think this would make it even better.

I was on the other day. Although the teamwork was pretty good there seemed to be a few spoiling it on teamspeak. Repeating movie lines got a bit annoying and childish for me so i left.

I've still got this problem after reinstalling the game. I can hear other people firing it but when i pick one up there is no sound at all or recoil. Does anyone know how to fix this please?

Umm... Do military people speak differently to other people?They do in the UK. You can tell a squaddy a mile off just from how they talk.

After spending out on a new graphics card (nvidia 260gtx) just to get this game to run at all, i've now got it to run almost perfectly. My problem was my hard drive, i've changed it from an IDE to a SATA2 hdd. After reloading eveything the game now runs extremly smoothly with no stutters or texture load problems and it loads missions within a few seconds rather than minutes. Hope this helps someone as it has certainly solved my problems.

I've just tried using the keyboard and mouse but i can't get on with it at all. Back to the stick for me.

Basically go into a town and kill everyone. It's a little short but i love the way you can change the time and support at the beginning. Might be better if there were more enemys around.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but when you get out of a osprey and the rotors are still turning there is no sound.

I have no trouble flying DCS black shark either but the heli's in ARMA2 are very hard to control. The collective needs alot of work imo as fast diving rocket attacks usually end up with me in the trees.

Has anyone else got this problem? The rifle works fine apart from not having any sond or recoil. I tried VOP sound mod but it's exactly the same.
Continuous zoom out problem

I can't seem to zoom out continuously. I've tried double tapping the - key and using different keys to zoom out but it just resets back to the normal zoom when the key is let go. This is fine for normal use but with the new BAF choppers you are very close to the windscreen and it's much easier to fly zoomed out. I can't map zoom to a slider as i only have 1 on my stick which is being used for the collective. I also have track ir but have disabled the Z axis so you can't change the zoom by moving closer to the sensor. Any ideas?
