  1. American test pilots because the russians aren't used to giving feedback to the developers. The defence department simply gave the preformance requirements and so the manufacturer came up with an aircraft that can meet these requirements and the russian air force pilots just had to accept the new fighter as it was wether they liked it or not. No modifications requested by the pilots were  made.

I don't know if the russian pilot is better than the american, and I'm not going to comment on that either, but I'm pretty sure the avarage american pilot has more flight hours than the avarage russian pilot.

Maybe I overestimate Russians but their are very good pilots

that are a big danger to any west pilot. Now to the matter of the test-pilots.Yes with new planes is just like you say but there is one hitch before the planes go to frontline unites someone had to test the plane if it fulfills requirements and that one was just a Russian test-pilot wink_o.gif

  2. Yes, I know about the X-31. It's mostly built of parts mostly from F-16s and F-5 among other aircraft. It is the only 3D thrust-vectoring aicraft that I'm aware of. The thing it's nothing but a test aircraft with no weapons. The russian Su-35 on the other hand is a full-grown combat aircraft.

It's like comparing the Mig-25 with the SR-71... Sure, the SR-71 is faster, but the Foxbat is a front line combat aircraft, and that's what shocked the west when they found out about it.

I'm sure the russians talk more about their equipment nowadays, because they're concentrating more on exports, because the russians cannot afford to buy them themselves. The Americans don't have that problem, so they can be more hush-hush about their newest equipment.

The perfect combat aircraft would be something designed by russian engineers and built by american hands that has an american radar, american avionics and an american cockpit. It would be armed with a russian cannon, russian close-range missiles and american long-range missiles, powered by russian engines and tested by american test-pilots.

American avionics and American cockpit-yes but why American radar crazy_o.gif Russian radars that are now entering to service are one of the bests in the world and who knowes what radars werent shown to public. And one thing more why test-pilots from America it is proven that pilots from Russia are way more better pilots then Americans its a fact finally they wont be at the top of the ranking if they werent that good wink_o.gif

  3. But there is one thing you don't know tounge_o.gif  In vietnam in a big secret an NVAAF MIGs  were flying Russian aces that shoot too "some" of americans planes.

That was Korea, not Vietnam. I'd love to see any reliable source say otherwise smile_o.gif

In Korea too but in Vietnam also. Well I read that in a military book you know not everything is on inter wink_o.gif you can buy it on this site MIG-21 in vietnam book

  4. wonder you have your facts totally wrong the United States airforce doesnt fall behind infact they are very much ahead. One difference between the russian and US militarys is the US keeps there mouths shut about their technology's and dont tell the general public when really they dont need to know this, I mean would you tell the general public about some super missile that never misses? so you give other manufacturers a hardon towards making a super missile that never misses.

Well I herd something simular to that. From what I understand is that the US have way better technology and don't impliment it unless they are in a huge war. They don't impliment their technology becuase once they have announced it it will be open to sabotage hence we could see this is the cold war with the f-86 sabres etc.

And how can you know that US technology is better from everyone else.Russian also have their secrets planes wich they did not show to the world and a lot of other advances.Their are in the same level as US or maybe higher in some domain. You'r never no unless you are in Russian army wink_o.gif

  5. Oops...OK then, maybe what I was trying to say was that the NVAAF were hardly aces.

    NVAAF Aces  wink_o.gif

You might also be surprized that they had the highest scoring aces of the war.

Nguyen Van Coc had 9 kills, 7 confirmed by US records

By contrast, the highest scoring American ace, Charles D Bellevue, had 6 kills (He was a RIO)

But there is one thing you don't know tounge_o.gif  In vietnam in a big secret an NVAAF MIGs  were flying Russian aces that shoot too "some" of americans planes.

  6. But it's so much more fun to run over your enemies with tanks!

Edit - Besides, anything faster than a SU-25 will probably be completely uncontrollable by the AI. I've never seen one of the RAD F/A-18s engage something properly while under AI control.

Planes are to big fun smile_o.gif and in ofp they advantage is that you can get out of plane and some other options wich are not accessible in a typical flight simulator. biggrin_o.gif

  7. Except tanks and choppers are important features in OFP that boost the quality of the gameplay.

Well fighter -dominator planes are to  tounge_o.gif For example in a mission when you are attacking enemy position with no AAA or SAM and the enemy your fighting calls for airattack on your position the only way to stop them  is to send ther your figters to take out te A-G mission planes.Just my view of the situation wink_o.gif

  8. Any Air to Ground-plane. OFP isn´t suited for A-A at all, IMO. rock.gif  If you want A-A, go play LOMAC. wink_o.gif

lol I know that. But SU-34 was built mainly to A-G and so did the SU-30MKI(which is  multirore fighter) tounge_o.gif It would be good to have those planes in ofp instead an old  SU-25 I have  only make mistake with SU-37 it is mainly to A-A mission but LOMAC dont have it  and it would be cool have one of this baby in ofp!! smile_o.gif

  9. Lol bit of pot and kettle here...the X-31 is experimental, sure, but so was the Su-37. There was only one (tail code 711), and it had since been converted to Su-35 standard (Which are now entering active service), and later sadly crashed during testing.

what?... hmm in mine military book it says that SU-37 is an separate class then SU-35 it haves better avionics, radar, and flight controll system etc.  ghostface.gif

maybe... the book is from 1994

  10. T-72M1 for  8.500 Polish zloty? Ceeripes, that is $2,235.30 US. That is equal to an older used car!

For those EU members, 1,833.61 Euros smile_o.gif

[deep thought]Wonder how much liscensing and importation fees run..... [/deep thought]

yep that's the price I saw wen I was last time at the army demobil and it was 2 months ago now the prices had gone up little but remember the tank is not new!!!all of the machineguns are demounted only the 125mm gun is operational.

  11. Lol...The amount of times I've said this...The SU-32, as it is now officially designated iswhat used to be referred to as the SU-27IB and SU-34 respectively. SU-27IB and SU-34 were designations given to the Platypus during its development stages. wink_o.gif

hmmm....mayby not because in my book it says that first the plane was called SU-27IB then SU-32 and now officially SU-34 wink_o.gif

  12. Lol bit of pot and kettle here...the X-31 is experimental, sure, but so was the Su-37. There was only one (tail code 711), and it had since been converted to Su-35 standard (Which are now entering active service), and later sadly crashed during testing.

  13. We are actually making both a Su-32 F/N and a Su-27 IB, F/N being the navy version and IB being the ground pounder. wink_o.gif

That's cool can't wait till relase!!!! crazy_o.gif one question will this pack have the modify SU-34(SU-27KUB) with new radar and IRST an the nose???

  14. You can pick up a fully operational (except armament) Cheiftan for about Å11,000.

I'm trying to see how logistically viable it would be for me to get one. Yes, I mean the real thing.

wow that's very expensive in my country you can buy a full operational T-72M1 for 8.500 Polish zloty(don't ask my how much that is it in euro I don't now)and it armament still works smile_o.gif By the way if your looking for some have metal I can offer you my PT-76 for sale?rock.gif???

  15. hmmm....for my an SU-37 please with a lot of vodka smile_o.gif

but now really an F-22,Typhoon cost too much F-15 is to old and X-31 is an experimental plane. and in the newest version an SU-37 can shot down all of this planes and ts cheepr

    sorry for my bad english

  16. that's very good   smile_o.gif that raise up my morale biggrin_o.gif    And to man that is  working on SU-30 could you  show even one pic of it rock.gif  I'm verry curious how this great plane looks in ofp?

    A pic of SU-30.

    SU-30-11.jpg

  17. actually we have discussed planes alot and came to a conclusion that fast air-to-air priority planes are really on the second shelf here. We think that it is much more playable with air-to-ground priority planes such as SU-25 so thats what we will concentrate on, untill then i cant confirm the Su30.

SO it is a looooooooooong way till we see SU-30 plane in OFP sad_o.gif That's sad.

  18. Since the RhS board is closed:( I have a queston. Are RHS going to make in future an SU-30 all variants? rock.gif Because it is one of the best Russian planes actually. Just my opinion. And it seems that now nobody is making it crazy_o.gif
