Yeah, we acknowledged that that might be something that was confusing, and reyhard was going to add a hint message or something to inform players. But there was a scheduling conflict with our intended release window so we didn't get around to adding it. This. By default it uses the game's standard Controls>>Keyboard>>Weapons>>Optics Mode keybind (mouse button detection can be sketchy though) IIRC an option to set a separate bind to Optics Mode is available in the RHS Game Options menu (under "Optic")- 16577 replies

Did you ever stop to consider that the way we have updated the missiles sensors is entirely linked in with adding dynamic loadouts and a bunch of new content such as new munitions, changes to the existing aircraft models (some quite extensively) and even adding new aircraft? Not least, a bunch of the old air weapons ammo and magazine classes have been thrown out and replaced with new ones so we can standardise things as much as possible or simply because the old magazines etc. were no longer needed now the planes handle the loads dynamically. Just releasing an updated config for the old missiles hasn't been an option for a very long time without reverting tens of hours of of config changes and transfer of data- 16577 replies

Picture is a frame grab from a gif that might answer that question The three new config parameters are already put in place. To an extent, the physX update on dev is partially passive in terms of it being a physX library update, and the size increase of the physX wheels on tankX vehicles is done automatically. Oukej has mentioned some adjustment of tank handling config parameters other than the above, but states that it's not on dev Branch yet. So what you are currently enjoying on dev seems to be the sum of the aforementioned changes, and should affect RHS tanks to a similar degree.- 16577 replies

Adding Huron Dust Effect to my Helicopter.

Does the helicopter have a RoadWay LOD (for walking inside etc.)? IIRC having a RoadWay messes with some ground-detection/altitude based features in flying vehicles, dust-clouds being one of them. -
If you're running CUP Terrains, it might be that. The mod currently overwrites some of the parameters used in the updated Arma 3 vehicle flag proxies, and breaks their ability to animate and assign textures. Results look like how you describe:

It's the cfgPatches classname of the config you are inheriting the item from. So what if we did? It'll still be "after the arma 3 update" whether it's released in two week, two months, two years. All it means is we couldn't release before 1.76. Not that a release will immediately follow an Arma patch. We always need to test and fix things after game patches. We are working very hard on it right now though. 1.76 has put a lot of focus on getting some shit finished- 16577 replies

The tools needs to be able to find and reference the textures and materials on your model during packing. So you need to have Object Builder set up properly with File>>Options...>>Path for textures set to P:\ so that you can view the textures with the same absolute path that you will use ingame. Then you wont' have to add the P:\ paths in the first place and it should be more obvious when the model can't find textures and materials it is looking for, on the P:\ drive If your .rvmat file references .paa files from the game data, or is itself an .rvmat from the standard game, this all needs to be unpacked on to your P:\ drive as well e.g. if you are referencing a3\plants_f\bush\data\b_ficusc1s_f_lod3_polyplane.rvmat this .rvmat file needs to be unpacked to P:\a3\plants_f\bush\data\ and so do the files referenced inside it, e.g. a3\plants_f\_polyplane\data\polyplane_ficusbenjamina_l2_nohq.paa etc. etc. -

Lowering it? You mean the Rhino, not the DUKE? The Rhino doesn't really function well AFAIK. IRL it wouldn't stop a vehicle from detonating mines and pressure-sensitive devices anyway - it's designed to set off infrared triggers. The DUKE system is the ECM antennas, and when it's turned on it should disrupt ingame command-detonated IEDs (action menu) and TFAR radio communications (including friendly).- 16577 replies

Is it really so hard to follow what is being said? I told you that the type parameter is processed as reference number to hardcoded simulation types, which reyhard is telling you are set inside the .exe. So the truth if this is that the game's available simulation types cannot be modified or appended because the simulation code is not in .cpp/.hpp/.sqf/.cfg/.dll etc. etc. format accessible from any .pbo or available to modders. If the .exe does not recognise the number as being one of the already coded simulation types, then it will not be able to simulate the object. As such, simply making up new type numbers like you are suggesting, will not be recognised by the engine at all. -
