I hope not , but I don't know it anyway so I'm safe anyway. I read in the DPA's journal and elsewhere that the Diemaco contract was for the purchase of both the C8 and C7 and as I don't remember anything about the C7 order being dropped subsequent to the article, I can only assume we recieved the C7 with the C8, (which as you've said is L119A1) and it too recieved a Land Service number, which it should recieve if it was officially contracted by the DPA as the C8 definitely was. In retrospect I should say it's not certain that we have C7s until I actually see evidence for it like I have done with the C8 I guess I just put it on the list because of my progressive train of thought compiling the list for the rest which I am certain about having seen and/or worked with in the realms of our forces, I appologise for this 'mistake'. It is possible that we pulled the C7s from the contract in the end or what I read about the contract originally was misinformation and we only ever held a contract for the C8. But the stuff I read was pretty official and I haven't seen anything that says otherwise, just a lack of evidence subsequent to the report. I'll see about finding out.

I don't read books I have seen similar lists dotted about on places like militaryphotos.net's forums etc, but the list is mostly comprised from what I've seen around the place I work at: DLO Donnington, one of the places these sorts of weapons get stored. Those are the weapons I know have recieved Land Service designations (L#) from the MoD, hence I assume they certified for use among our forces, not to say they are specifically used by the SAS or have been, just that we have these weapons for their disposal.

I've seen some pictures RMCs using M16s in Iraq. As for what weapons our SF use, they'll use whatever we have available that is suitable for their operational requirements. I believe currently we have this array of weapons available: Browning Hi-Power, Walther PPK, SiG-Sauer P226, SiG-Sauer P228, SiG-Sauer P229, MP5A3, MP5K, MP5SD, HK53, Minimi, GPMG, G3A3, G3A4, G3KA4, L115 Long Range Rifle, Barrett M82A1, L96, SA-80, LSW, M16A2, Colt Commando, C7, C8 SFW, AG36, M203, LAW 80, M72 LAW, Javelin. We also have a wealth of weapons in storage, captured or otherwise that could potentially be used. Though from what I've read the M16A2, GPMG, L96, Minimi, Sig P226, Browning Hi-Power and MP5 series for CRW are the weapons most commonly issued.

The F-14's a classic in my eyes, it's quite a shame to see it passing out of service but it had to happen eventually. I've only ever seen one once (well 4 at the same time actually, flying in a diamond formation over a hotel I was staying at in Cornwall) I could just about see them in the overcast sky above me, something I wont forget too easilly. Does Iran still operate its F-14s or are they unservicable nowadays?

1) Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (It's not got the best gameplay in the world but I thought it had a great epic, cinematic quality to it that is very rare in games and the characters are thoroughly engaging) 2) OFP (I love the freedom and the activity in the community) 3) Mafia (another great cinematic game with some bloody intense gunfights) 4) Legends of Zelda series (a bit 'kiddy' in looks but considdering I was a mere boy when I started playing these games it holds some nostalgia, and they offer some solid gameplay) 5) Metal Gear Solid series 6) Call of Duty 7) Mario series of platform games (A gaming institution though marred by bad franchising decisions such as Dr. Mario and Mario Party, so I just stick to the platforming incarnation) 8) Sonic the Hedgehog platform series (comparable to Mario but the fact that he lacks dungarees makes him second best) 9) Streets of Rage series (smashing a bottle over someone's head then stabbing them with it until they smash through a phone booth will never get old) 10) Max Payne 1&2 (love the gritty feel of these games)

Nice, any chance we'll be able to remove or switch the arm patches on them to stand in as SAS?

Epic are releasing a version of UT2k4 with Red Orchestra and a number of other modifications by the Unreal community bundled in with it, like they did with UT GOTYE which had Chaotic Dreams mod and a load of community maps and mutators bundled into it. Still haven't downloaded V3. I'm waiting for some non-Fileplanet mirrors because I always have a great deal of dificulty downloading from FilePlanet especially big files which I need to resume the dowload of thanks to 56k. Aparently I'll have to wait 'til Monday for mirrors... yay!

Personally I'm not into motorbikes, they look good and are pretty fun to ride but I've never been bothered about getting one myself. My uncle and both my cousins have rode motorbikes since they were pretty young. One of my cousins is a currently 'scrabling' (a bit like motorcross, not sure if it's any different really) he's pretty good at that. He just got back into doing it in the past year or two after a long break from when he was a teenager. Not sure if my younger cousin will get back into scrambling too, but he did do it when he was young also. My uncle also races but he's into superbikes, he owns a race modified CBR-600 and a CBR-900 for the road which I've travelled to Holland on the back of, with him. I don't like people seeing motorbikes as a symbol of rebellion, it probably attracts the kind of idiots who are more likely to end up having accidents. It's like how people see guns as a sybol of power and stuff. Ideas like that are just dangerous.

I'm a big fan of RO even though I hardly get the opertunity to play it since most of the people I play games online with (so that I'm ensured a good, honest game) end up playing less demanding games stuff like BF42/'nam instead and my modem laggs terribly on most pub servers, that's if they even let me in with my huge ping. The trailer shows some really fantastic looking stuff but the video itself is pretty poorly done, still looking forward to the release though.

.mov file are less compressed than .wmv files so retain a higher pixel resolution, making for a better quality image.

Statistics blame the Africans, there are more cases of HIV in Africa than anywhere else on earth. It's not like it's strictly their fault though, there isn't much safe sex education in 3rd world countries. The biggest cause in MEDCs for the spread is people having unprotected sex when they've been educated otherwise, whether they're homosexual, heterosexual, black, white whatever.

I might make a gallery for the rest of my pics, there are quite a lot and I don't really want to fill this thread with my crap, on the other hand it'll take some work to do... Anyhow, here's a couple more in the meantime: AH-64 Apaches, the first one is Dutch IIRC and was taken at RAF Cosford, the second is US Army and taken at Fairford. A pair of DC-3s. F-15E Strike Eagle Czech Mig-21 with one of the nicest camouflage schemes I've seen, not sure how practical it is though. RAF Harrier T.Mk.10

Some people believe this was done by the Nazi party to remove the communists who were the biggest rivals to the Nazis in the German parliament by placing the clame on them. Either way the Communists were blamed by the Nazis and the German Chancellor allowed Hitler to shut down the communist party by raiding its political offices etc. Bear in mind this could be wrong, I was only about 11 when I was tought the history leading up to WW2.

Download link? Edit:- never mind.

Hunt the intruder - out-flank him
da12thMonkey replied to Footmunch's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well that's what they did during WW2... And yes Bobcatt, other people have that problem, I believe it was mentioned before in this thread and Footmunch said it would be fixed in the versions we're currently awaiting. -
lol, shame I'm a penniless drunk. I remember getting a link to a former Blue Angels F/A-18 and a Mig 29 being sold on eBay the once. I also read in the paper that a Vulcan was being sold there too.

Ridiculous. So are you inferring that Luxembourg has more economic power than the United States, and Bermuda, The Cayman Islands, San Marino, Norway, and Switzerland are all right behind the U.S. in World economic clout? You are an economist?? No, it's just showing that people in Luxembourg are technically better off than your average American.

Couple more: F-117 on the static display, some hours prior to the incident with the minibus: B-2 Spirit taking off shortly after landing for the first time in the UK, an amazing sight the first time you see it. Czech Mil Mi-24 Hind: USAF MH-53 Pavelow III: Royal Navy Seaking/Commando: My scanner sucks, thank God I've progressed to using a digital camera in the years it took me to try and make it work.

Agreed Soul_Assasin, I just see Saudi as a nation who particularly has to step carefully, it has helped to create the problem by sending Arabs to Afghanistan in the 70s to fight the Russians which has increased aspects of radical Islam in that region and fully recognises that, yet because it has it's important Islamic ties, it's birth is rooted in creating a grand Islamic state after all, so much of what the Saud's do must be approved by its clerics, so it cannot throw its weight into imprisoning or killing Muslims like it is so easy for us to do. For them it has consequences that could overthrow the House of Saud if their people object too greatly to what can very easilly be seen as turning ones back on Islam for the favour of the West, which quite noticibly conflicts with Islam on a number of levels. I see it as being better safe than sorry for an governent that is quite important to the entire world, yet the US seem to ignore the opinion of (especially on the matter of Israel but that's a whole topic in itself). I see that as a problem personally. The constitution gets challenged because it conflicts with other ideas which should be considdered and help important to the natural development of a nation once it tries to find a solution that keeps more peoples' interests at heart because it allows for a greater tollerence of ideas. I see taking the literal verse of texts as creating the biggest problems in the world right now; with Fundamentalist Islam looking directly at the quran an demanding that it apply fully to all life and taking action against the influences of the west that disregard it. I just see this as one terrible argument about who's right and who's wrong, Which is better, Tables or Chairs?, it's happened a hundred times before throughout history and nobody's ever trully been the winner because people have always faced hardship at the end of it. If it were simply an argument in the street between two people we'd all be standing around thinking "What a pair of jackasses!" but unfortunatley wer're caught in the middle and forced to take sides.

I honestly think the main thing stopping the US waging war on Saudi and the Emirates is that their goverments don't actively support terrorism, I don't think it has to do with how much of a contribution the people of a country make towards it. After all I can't think of a war where a country will attack another because of its people, only the government who represent that country to the rest of the world. This is why people say they dislike America, because people associate the actions of a goverment as that nation's policy because it's their job to maintain international relations. There are people in the UK who are big financial supporters of Terrorism, and most of AQ's leading members were educated in the west but we don't wage war on eachother because we believe we should tackle such problems internally as Saudi Arabia and other Muslim nations with good affiliations with western powers such as Pakistan are too. Even though some see them as doing too little (personally I find this understandable given that they are tackling Muslim brothers, which is difficult in a closely knit society, which I see Islam as.) If there were as much wealth amonsts individuals in 'rogue' Islamic states such as Afganistan under the Taliban as there is in Saudi, I'm sure Saudia Arabia and the Emirites' contribution to terrorism would stand as less, compared to more fundamentalist hotbeds.

I'm from Telford in Shropshire, the green and pleasant land at the heart of England and the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
