Wrong both of you. You're pretty close, it's a WW2 aircraft and I suppose Parvus is closer in that it's a British plane. Keep trying!

Mi-26 "Halo" and soviet pilot pack relased
da12thMonkey replied to DPS -CCCP-'s topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
1) If you read the readme it's tell you that this is noted by the makers and is the result of an engine limitation. 2) You can tell the gunner to do it through his action menu when you command him. Press F2, 6, then 2 I think -
I think it's the island that Spetsnaz Mod (SFM) are making. Not released yet evidently.

Mi-26 "Halo" and soviet pilot pack relased

I couldn't download this fast enough when I saw it was finally released. Just yesterday I was looking through my old downloads and saw the demo video you released of it and though "I wonder whatever happened to that." so it was a big surpise to see it. This really is an excellent addon and so useful, because you can transport anything with it. I love the animations the crew do when they start the engines up, open the windows etc and the models of the crew themselves are equally brilliant. -

Andrew Cunningham, (7 January 1883 - 12 June 1963), was the most famous British admiral of World War II. You have a sharp mind and although not a good speaker like some of your colleagues, you have your own type of common touch. Many seek you out to ask for your advice and hear stories about your experiences. Ever the diplomat, your shrewd ways can sometimes come as a shock to those who admire you ----------------------------------------------- Gangut The Gangut class was the largest native class of battleship actually used by the USSR in WWII. They also served in WWI, but underwent extensive upgrades and modification over the years. With four triple 12 inch guns, the Gangut carried light firepower but potentially the highest overall rate of fire of any battleship in terms of heavy shells per minute. A WWI workhorse, the Gangut class was re-used throughout WWII, providing surface bombardment to support the Soviet advance through Germany; although a heavier battleship class, the Sovietski Soyuz, was under construction as WWII opened up, it was never brought into action, leaving the Gangut the largest Soviet battleship on record.

So sorry but I'm having a bit of a bit of a nitpick, please forgive me, but shouldn't it be in the editor under "RHS Vehicles (Winter)", rather than just "RHS Vehicles"? It's a really nice vehicle though, I had fun picking up some FDF recon troops from behind enemy lines with it in the absense of Russian winter troops.

We wait until the 25th over here... you impatient buggers I sorta already have one of my Christmas presents though, the BoB DVD box-set. My brother was going to buy it for me but he couldn't find it in any of the shops so he asked me where to get it, I told him and was greeted with the full spirit of the season from him: "Bugger going up there... tell you what; you buy it and I'll give you the money back on Christmas." I suppose it's the thought that counts... I guess I'll tell him it was Å50 rather than the actual price of Å35. Merry Christmas!

Well my entire OFP folder weighs 10.9 GB (11,756,208,128 bytes), dunno how much of that is addons and mods but it's well over half of it.

They just look like any other British soldier but kitted out with M16s etc. UKF's RMCs make a perfectly good stand in if you remove their helmets and berets.

I've not really cared about anybody dying in Iraq since the whole thing began; civilian, military or otherwise. Deaths were inevitable and at the end of the day are just another statistic in respect to my life. I admire the bravery of everyone engaged in the conflict but I'm not at a loss when they fall and while their death is tragic, my sympathy is extended to the families of the dead, but it's not my place to share their grief when I can't fathom what exactly that person meant to them. It's just pointless sentiment to be saddened or angered by it. I believe I'm better off not mourning someone I've never met, who died thousands of miles away. Of course things would be different in the case of someone I knew who had died over there.

Fox Company 506th/101st June 1944 Addons: I44's 101st Airborne paratroopers, Jean Christoph's Normandy island and Unscripter War's grass. Animations by Hunter, ORCS and Wilco, maybe some other animators too.

Ruin the addon? I think you're being a bit bombastic mate. You don't have to use the snow camo version, it's not like it's the only version Inquisitor and King Homer are doing, just stick to playing with the NATO and Desert versions if the snow camo upsets you that much. Can't you simply ignore that particular entry in the editor list when you come to play the addon? If it really ticks you off you can always delete its entry in the config so that it doesn't show up.

IIRC gunshot wounds in movies are usually simulated using things called 'squibs' which are small bags of fake blood fitted into a case with a hole in the side that you want the blood to spurt out from. These carry a small explosive charges behind the bag and are wired up onto the actor underneath their clothing. I've heard they can injure you a bit if you don't fit them properly so it's probably becoming more common to add such things using CGI in the interests of safety to actors and the ability to make them more realistic.

If the BBC is involved like they were with BoB, people in the UK will be able to see it pretty soon after HBO show it... but they probably aren't, the cast of BoB and the locations were largely British hence BBC's involvement, in fact the place where I work was scouted as a location for the show: they needed a 1940s military depot but found one elsewhere. Is Steven Spielberg producing this series though? I've not found any reference to him being involved, if he isn't I'm not sure this'll turn out to be as good as BoB.

Yeah the reason for the backlog is part down to things getting in the way. But mostly the desire to provide something a bit special and unique. Â I wasn't really commenting on any such backlog, just that the list of stuff you're working on seems to be continually growing with new projects. While I'm extrememly happy that these addons are in development (especially the British-used kit), I'm astounded that you're doing such a monumental task in making them all by yourself. It'd seem higly daunting to me so I'm in admiration of your efforts, regardless of how much it may or may not lengthen the time it takes to get anything on the list to get finished and I appreciate your effort to ensure that the releases are of a high standard; even though I'd simply be happy with an addon that looks pretty damn close to what it's meant to represent and all funtions that it's supposed to be capable of in the game, work without delivering some sort of vile error. The newest bells and whistles are nice but I can live without them so long as what is there feels complete: they don't make bad addons into good addons . Ok then...just for you you can have a Sky Flash version. Â : I'm honoured. Thanks. Â

Incredible stuff Rock, all of it (and there is quite a lot of it on your projects list now eh? ). Can I request an 'old' loadout for the F3 Tornado though: sidewinders and skyflash missiles? It'd be useful for stuff like Cold War era, Gulf War and Bosnia missions.
