Dan, MARPAT stands for MARine PATtern. As for the 2048 textures, I doubt they'll be much of a problem unless there are loads of H-53s in a mission. If there is any problem you can always release a patch/update at a later date.

A4- Skyhawk re-release Public Beta
da12thMonkey replied to colonel_klink's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
The hump contains avionics. It was introduced on the A-4F IIRC. Nice to see an update of this addon Klink, the old version was still one of the best OFP aircraft addons around IMO. I've had one or two bugs come up with this update though; I can't get the sidewinders lock on to targets by right-clicking and I get an error message when ejecting, it said somet about a missing file, somet to do with 'wind' I think. -
The proposal you've made for SAMs in OFP sounds ideal to me Rock. The ranges aren't excessive to the point that you're buggered as soon as you enter the map's airspace, and give you some room to get your bearings around the island, but they're effective enough to keep you on your toes and use the most feasible tactics aircraft can employ to avoid SAMs given OFP's limitations in the field of aircraft handling and target engagement. I'm looking forward to what you deliver mate.

I think this is what Mapfact did with their XM8s, minus the animation bit: http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?showthis=6370 But yes, to do it properly you'd need to be able to do setobjectexture/animations/hiddenselections on weapons models, which isn't possible AFAIK.

Nice picture of a Ringed Plover sniper.

It's one of the VBS1 OPFOR troops.

It's Kegety's Smith & Wesson revolver addon -
All of ours have the curved front AFAIK. As for the designations of the different types of CRV7, I can't find anything. All British munitions and weaponry have a "Land Service" designation that starts with an L followed by the numbers then an Advancement number that shows what series the weapon is from, similar to the US "M" designation. For example the L85A2 SA-80 assault rifle ("A2" shows it's a second series model), L115A1 Long range rifle and L60A1 Batton Round. So I can tell you that they begin with an "L" but that's it I'd stick with the acronyms on that site I gave you: GPF, MPSM and HEISAP.

The AV-8B (not the Harrier 2 Plus) is about equivilent to a Harrier Gr.5 which was upgraded to Gr.7 around the mid 90s. Currently we're upgrading Gr.7s to Gr.9 standard, with Pegasus Mk.107 engines and the ability to carry the latest RAF weaponry such as the Brimstone anti-armour missile and Storm Shadow stand-off missile. Getting back on-topic though... Great work FischKopp especially on the Harriers. About time there were some nice modern ones. I'd like to see a GR.7/9 too but I think you've done more than enough work already.

I don't think the way aircraft addons behave in OFP, or the way they really need to be limited to be playable in OFP's scale is realistic enough for Anti-Aircraft addons to be made with realistic velocities and ranges. Jaguar was making similar enquiries about the effectiveness of his Anti-Aircraft addons (ADATS, Tracked Rapier etc.) a little while back. I suggested to him that he should have a chat with the lads working on ACES; Hardrock, Footmunch, Vektorbosen etc. since they're standardising the values of aircraft weapons, speeds and countermeasures to see what values will become typical of aircraft in future addons so that you can make AA systems are fairly compatable. You may also like to talk to Jag himself to see what sort of values he's going for with his ADATS etc.

The Rockets are CRV7s that come in 3 variants: General Purpose Flechette (GPF), Multi-Purpose Sub Munitions (MPSM) and High Explosive Incendiary Semi-Armour Piercing (HEISAP), The Hellfires are AGM 144L/K Hellfire II RF and SAL types. UKF Warrior (MCV80) v1.0 Released
da12thMonkey replied to Rhodite's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I seem to remember someone experiencing a similar problem and they found it was because they didn't have UKF's Land Rover GS pack: ftp://www.gamezone.cz:8021/ofpd/unofaddons2/UKF_land_rovers_v1.0.rar IIRC the Warriors need this pack for the numberplate script to work at the moment, but the updated Warriors wont have this dependancy when they're patched/updated, so you can either download the Landies or wait for an update. -
Thanks. Lot of great screens of late lads, keep it up

I think they might be land reclamation sites, where effectively new land is being built in the sea to develop on.

UKF Warrior (MCV80) v1.0 Released
da12thMonkey replied to Rhodite's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
This was covered before (I had the same trouble) you need to turn up your Object LOD settings in FlashpointPreferences, I don't think the driver's pit hollows out on anything 'below' (remember, the smaller the number, the higher the setting) 0.010, I also found that there are some other visual bugs on lower LOD settings, like being able to see through the hull in places. -

I was just having a look at the few parts of the UK that are available in fairly in high resolution and found that you can see a U2 parked at RAF Fairford.
