IN Vbs1 we had a fully working Harrier. With hover and 360 degrees movement.
It has already been done maybe 2 years ago, why not just ask your friends at VBS

Grass is real. If it is uncut it will grow. If u go prone in uncut grass you will see shit. I have no problem with that.
Just keep it the same for AI. If I go prone in uncut grass I can't see them and they can't (shouldn't) see me.
Try playing Red Orchestra you use the grass and fields to your advantage, but that's a totaly different game.

Sorry I didn't read this whole thread, but I didn't see anything about Tanks engaging tanks on dedicated server being addressed in the this patch.

I have noticed if the squad is on safe patrol and you take out the leader nothing happens,(on dedicated) the squad will continue on like nothing happened. Just keep working your way down the line.

I think everyone has been on a server at sometime when a bird has helped a player finish a mission.
I forgot the mission maker can select which units to be observed LOL

Looks good but...
Only thing I don't like is you can see all enemy moving in real time, that's going to make a lot of missions very easy and long. 1 dead guy observing and telling the others where the enemy is and what they are doing. Could get very boring.
If you can turn off some options then great.
Good for people who are waiting in loby if they could observ.

If you are buying ArmA to play a single player campaign you are wasting your time. It's a mutiplayer game just like ofp.

That is fine if you want to use an object but it won't work with a trigger

btw I thought there was going to be lots of wildlife in ArmA?? We had snakes, dogs, camels and goats in VBS1, great fun shooting a camel to give u some cover to hide behind.

Can't you just have a script running that checks the health of the object and then sets it to 1 all the time. Sure I saw such scrips in ofp.

Yes, just turn the radio down and u will lose the voices. I have my radio down or almost silent, drives u crazy hearing "engage that man at 12 o'clock." over and over and over.......

I would also like to turn off my voice, turning down the radio has no effect on your own voice, but I don't see the option to do that.

This is pointless. I can't believe I am replying to 1 guy saying he is not buying the game, who cares

People will buy the game to play what they want to play, and just now and for the last 6 years, there is no game that gives you the total freedom that ArmA gives you.
Sure there are lots of bugs and some things suck (AI) but it is still way better than anything out there.
Give the modders 6 months and we will have a very nice gamming experience.

#1 is probably a dedicated server issue. There are lots of things that will work in editor or hosted but not on dedicated. Report it on the wiki.

I have been using a usb gamepad for a while now to fly.
12 programmable buttons, all u need at your fingertips.
I find it much smoother than keyboard and mouse.

I think the AI is fine. I have the full game and the AI has not given me too many problems. For example, I got a sniper rifle and went prone in a bush on the big hill that overlooks the village on ramadi. I fired a shot at an AI and everyone in the area started running around and looking for me. When I fired another shot from the same position they zeroed in on me a bit more and I had 5 or 6 guys come running up the hill. I stayed in the bush and they didnt find me. they searched the whole hill including the backside before finally running back to the village. It was pretty intense when you have russians almost touching you and they can find you. I could hear them breathing as they ran by. Sure the AI has flaws but they do pretty well as they are. You cannot compare them to games like rainbow 6 las vegas because the AI in close quater shooters like that only have to deal with a small room were everything is made to hide behind. And if you really look at their AI they are not so great. They stand behind an object look over fire, crouch down, and repeat. They might change postions, but nothing too fancy.That is fine in the editor, try that on a dedicated server and the AI will just go prone or run around in circles. Ai are totaly stupid on dedicated servers.

They don't appear in Dedicated server game, but they are there in editor.
But if I add them to ammo box they can be picked up in dedicated and editor
Has something changed?
