    You all just don't forget that OFP was suppose to go out on May and it got out on September. But it was the full game, so it always propable in the case a full game that it get delaye. But i'm pretty sure that Resistance will come out at the end of June or at the begining of July maybe.

  5. A demo would waste the whole thing. Because we are all waiting for something big with Resistance and if they get out a demo, they will have no other choice but to include lot's of stuff (if not all) to let the player experience and some people will maybe just use those stuff and put it in ofp and won't buy the add-ons because they are all in the demo for free.

    Its hard to implement... But in theory, replace a 5t Truck with an Abrams and you got a rail cannon biggrin.gif

    I have a working beta script for a train for use in I44, with trainstops and looping and all (took me a day to make it easy to lay track waypoints in the editor, Im proud of that biggrin.gif Also took me almost a day to root out a bug that prevented the train from looping, not so proud of that wink.gif), but since its a rather complex script, it may be to slow to really be of use... Every script is another thing dragging down the framerate.

    They are alongside my Sten and my sound file of the Garand auto pling smile.gif (and a misshap with flares biggrin.gif)

    Oh, and ignore the hint window, its just what I use for debugging purpose... Everything is a mix of Swedish and English... And ignore the text from the player, also debug smile.gif

    -Edit- Btw, images doesnt really show all... Stuff like it decelerates when stopping at the "trainstation" and acelerates when driving of again... And as a sideeffect you can jump in and drive in the other direction smile.gif

    -Edit2- Hm, maybe I can tell Askhan to upload it to the I44 homepage, something to go in the download section of the new page smile.gif Its still beta, and it isnt really a secret, its easy to rip things from the pbo files...

  8. We can say that it's pretty much strange.

    Personnaly, I hate compagnies that just do a game and just forget it and go on other games (like Microsoft, Westwood, etc...). It's sad to see this, because most of the time it make quick to do games and crapy games when those games could be one of the best with some improvement.


  9. Max Payne was going nowhere in the begining (slow motion? big deal! I wan't the big gun and shoot right now...not want to have to wait like 1 min for 5 bullets to be shot).

    To come back to ofp: ya ok, you people confince me. smile.gif

    Anyone know any good tutorials for Gmax to do models (weapons, aircraft, vehicule)? Cos i'm really thinking of wanting to start something...but I would need to have tutorials or exemple on how to do differents models. (I can always try to find myshelf a way...but it can take time...o well, will need a lot of patience  wink.gif )

    Edit: I wan't to do the models now and add them in ofp when oxygen will get out.


  10. I see what you mean. I approve when you say that maybe we will all stop buying there other release. But only the community can get this game live for a very long time. BIS can't do all of what the community want.

    And if we don't get those tools soon....maybe another game will come out that will offer the same thing as ofp and everyone will go on it maybe because the developers will have the mod tool ready sooner....well, we are not near that...but if BIS wait too much long...it might be too late because everyone will be gone, bored of waiting.

    Just telling what i'm thinking...


  11. I agree with the faq that this game is awsome and that it's like none other games. wink.gif

    But...without oxygen release to public...this game is going no where! If we (the community) can't do something to improve even more the game (mod team are only a small part of the community), then this game will only be improve by BIS and we won't have maybe some weapons, vehicules and other things like that, that we want so much. sad.gif

    Personnally, i'm trying to learn how to dp models in Gmax so that I can make models of vehicules, weapons and other things like for ofp. But if BIS don't release Oxygen to the public, then i won't be able to do some models that some people wan't so much. confused.gif

    I just wanted to say my point of view about this and i'm not bitching about BIS...just telling that there game is going no where if Oxygen is not release to public. confused.gif

    BTW, talking of doing models, anyone know a good tutorials site for me to go for Gmax? smile.gif

But it would be damn fun to have all island connect to each other and that with no lag at all, you can pass on one island to another one and be able to have lot's of activities on all of the island. Would be fun....but it's almost impossible. OFP engine would maybe support it....and maybe not. If it's not him who can't support it, than it will be are computers. What a wonderfull dream. smile.gif

    But adding train to ofp would add really something!

    An example of a mission (that no one as brought up yet): you and your team are in the civil train getting to a stop into an ennemy base. It's the night. Everyone sleep, the train stop...you and your man get out of the train...everyone kill the sentinel silently with the SD's. Than go to the objectives (blow up the fuel depot wink.gif and kill the commander)... after explosives plant, get back into the train...the train get out of the base...(if it's a manual one) you press the little red button...BOUM!!...while the train get away, you hear an alarm and the ennemy woke up confuse. Mission acomplish. biggrin.gif

    I agree with the faq that we can't call all the weaponry that is in the game as a NATO one. It is a big mistake because the only NATO forces that is in game is the american.

    I agree that it would take time to model all of the other country military, but that is the job of the community if BIS don't want to do it, but the community need the damn tool and we would need them now before everyone found a better game (we never know...).
