Ruthless ARMA Milsim Who are we? Ruthless Arma Milsim is a Swedish milsim unit focusing on infantry tactics. We play as a Swedish light rifle company loosely modelled on 31. Lätta bataljon (31. Light Infantry Batallion). How we play We strive for a high level of realism and immersion, without compromising with the basic premise that operations and training exercises should be enjoyable. We use a realistic chain of command and order of battle, and conduct our operations in accordance with Swedish military doctrine and signals. We primarily play against AI-controlled opposition, led by a human Zeus. Most of our players are soldiers in our three rifle squads; EA, FA and GA. The rifle squads, together with the platoon command element make up the rifle platoon AQ. The platoon has battalion attachments in the form of JTAC/FIST and combat medics. The platoon is supported by mortar platoon DQ and task force air group ZZ. We do not use any “Yes, sir!” / “No, sir!” or forced RP in our community. We do not play scenarios that are realistic for realism’s sake alone; At no point will you have to man an observation post for three hours while nothing happens just because it would be realistic. Wednesdays 1900-2100 GMT+1 We conduct training exercises lead by the platoon- or squad leaders, where we increase our ability to fight individually and as part of a team. Sundays, 1800-2100 GMT+1 We play our main operations, where AQ’s parent battalion mobilises to some combat zone to conduct combat operations. Every session is followed by a 20-30 minute debrief, where we evaluate the exercises or scenarios conducted in an effort to improve our playstyle, modline, scenarios, etc. Besides our regular sessions, we also conduct joint operations with other Arma 3 units as well as the occasional odd operation, where we play as some other unit, Swedish or foreign. We accept members who fulfill the following membership criteria: - Speaks and understands Swedish, and has a functioning microphone. - Wants to participate as an active member of our community: If you’re not busy with IRL business, we expect you to show up for our regular exercises and operations. - Is at least 18 years old. - Owns a legal copy of Arma3 and the Apex and Contact DLCs. We do not have any requirements on prior experience. Our BCT (Swedish “GSU”; Grundläggande SpelarUtbildning) will give every new member a foundational level of ability. After a completed BCT, you will be assigned an initial slot as a rifleman in our rifle platoon, with the opportunity to learn new roles as these open up.
