7CMBG has been around since 2007 with first roots in ARMA 2 and now playing ARMA 3. We are the oldest and largest Canadian Armed Forces MILSIM unit in the ARMA community. Our goal is to build a professional unit with quality servers and like-minded people; looking to have fun in an immersive environment. As a MILSIM unit we derive our enjoyment from realism and following docternial SOP’s when conducting missions and campaigns. We pride ourselves on being immersive and realistic in the planning and execution of missions; but allowing our members to operate freely and have an enjoyable experience. Roles: We are composed of an air detachment and a mechanized infantry regiment. The Air Detachment path provides opportunities of becoming a traditional pilot and forward air controller. Pilot roles provide the opportunity to fly light and medium helicopters with progression towards fixed wing aircraft. The employment of the air detachment is a key asset for Infantry commanders. Providing multiple forms of support: close air support, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, paratroop assaults, airdrops and simple cargo transfers, which can move ground forces and supplies that are critical to the survival of the infantry. The infantry path sees you through basic qualifications courses to learn and adopt the methods of the Canadian Army. As an infantryman you will learn the roles of rifleman, light machine gunner, grenadier, tactical combat casualty care, and signaler. As you become proficient in the weapons and tactics of the unit you may progress through the ranks and assume a specialist or leadership position.
