Just wanted to give a heads up for any new players or players looking for a new server to avoid NFG. The discord is always empty and down and mods are never in there. The admin is pretty busy so nothing wrong with that, but the mods that DO play don't tell you that they're even mods (doesn't wear the server tag) until they decide to abuse their power then gloat about how awesome they are. Some of the players on there aren't too bad and can be helpful (namely Garfield who is the longest and most dedicated player), but for the most part the biggest group [WOLF] in the server consists of the mods and are total dick heads when a new player asks a question. Once again they don't say they have a mod on their team until they decide to ban you without warning. I thought it was suspicious that anytime I was killed by them it was by surprise, which I would assume is the mod abusing the infistar map powers. So this is a heads up for those who DO decide to play that server for whatever reason. That team also likes to camp spawn points with HMGs and blast you as soon as you spawn (which i can live with). However they then decide to talk trash, but will never engage in a fair fight. I was looking for new servers and found NFG and played on it for maybe a total of 20+ hours throughout 2 weeks. Long story short, my team drove out to a mission and at the same time their team (WOLF) decided to fly in and take the mission out with an extremely expensive Heli that has rocket launchers on it (not quite skillful). They land the heli right in the middle of the mission like total idiots (didn't even see/hear us even though they flew right over us) and I began to snipe them from about 300M and took one out. I drove up to try and run the other over and was shot by another guy (which i drove around and could NOT for the life of me find, invis mode turned on perhaps?). Don't want to make assumptions cause it's believable he could of been on a rock somewhere, but I've played for 10+ years and the map is terribly flat for the most part and absolutely no trees or bushes to hide in. A friend of mine rammed one of their heli's and blew it up (dude parked right in the middle so why not). Given it's a rule that there is no ramming, but my friend overlooked that rule because they have about a million on there cause it's made to cater specifically to the WOLF team. Most servers would give a fair warning, but dude literally said "Fuck you, Bye" and banned my buddy. Once again, had no idea that he had admin powers until he decided to boast about it and proceeded to tell me that if he wants to be unbanned to take it up with the admin who is terribly busy all the time. Credit to the admin, he tried to resolve the issue but had to write a message to the server telling everyone to chill because the mod/WOLF team were just going off about the whole situation. My thoughts: at this point you banned the dude who did you wrong, why are you continuing to be a dbag? Anyways the NUMBER 1 rule says: "Don't be immature and act like adults." Which the mod was literally talking trash to me AFTER the fact that he banned my buddy and I did absolutely nothing wrong aside from killing one of their teammates. At no point did I retaliate and talk trash back, I was merely trying to understand WHY he was banned and they were so salty about the fact that we almost took their entire team out and stole the loot. But following after when we were trying to resolve the issue, they continued to act like childish kids so my team of 6 decided to take our gaming to a MUCH better and awesome server called BFV. It's a server that has stuff for both PVE and PVP in a great environment where (although it may not be populated at times) players/mods/admins are extremely courteous and helpful at all times. I've actually never been in a server like it. My entire team loves it and we've been putting in countless hours while enjoying it all the while. TL;DR NFG server has a bunch of clowns that made the server just to play with themselves. Don't bother populating the server cause when I asked the Mod who banned my buddy if he didn't care about population he literally responded with "I don't care" and the admin had to step in. Felt like a father (admin) was running a server for his kids who just abuse their admin infistar powers (I used to admin a server so am very familiar with the options). Incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional in dealing with any type of conflicts or problems. BFV (BattleField Veterans) is much better catered to solo or team players either looking for PVE or PVP without a toxic environment. Cheers.
