So I was thinking elimination feels neglected in terms of loot. I’d like to see the players of the winning team of elimination get a crate each like the shootout crates. One per Person per win or perhaps each of the top 3 in a winning team get a crate and you can boost to make sure your whole team gets one? Thoughts? Because food and exp alone is kinda boring and not worthwhile

I do long for the days where I could slink around the map without being hunted I certainly survived longer for sure now some of my favourite maps are unplayable at times like fiske. Players know other players will stick to the town as that’s where the loot is so it’s easier to pop portable signals to hunt others down. I’m the old days I could ransack fiske and evade danger 90% of the time but now it’s a 60% chance going off my survival rate I know theirs jammers and stuff but that’s takes slots and costs materials I’d rather not waste. I instead counter this new hunting style by going in light and not rewarding cheap kills by dropping my common ass gun and single heal for their “ hard “ work

definition. To the body armor. Broken. Misleading.or lies
Matthew Aiken replied to ShinigamiEater's topic in General Discussion
I admit the wording is a bit off but I thought I’d clarify the purpose of armor. So armor plates guarantee at least the first shot will protect your torso however bear in mind different calibers of ammunition exist and that this game at least tries for realism so different ammo types will deal different amounts of damage to health and armor respectively. This also drops off (a little bit) with range. Most noticeably with shotguns as their spread is much larger hence how someone can hit you from a mile away with a shotgun blast but not deal much damage as apposed to one or two shots close up. So factoring in range and weapon choice armor will either spare you say one sniper shot to the chest or several lower caliber rounds from mid range or so. 🙂 hope this helps and I didn’t confuse you with my paragraph 👍 -
Well this is the most pointless post I must admit doesn’t constructively generate any viable suggestions, don’t normally slam a post but this just doesn’t help our (the gamers) cause. Please try and be constructive as this grab the devs attention more. I know it feels like sometimes they don’t listen but they still do at times if we try to balance what we’re asking for with what will fit within “their vision for the game”

"ES" type of weapon with auto fire?
Matthew Aiken replied to Eriks Spetsnaz's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I wouldn’t like to see an Ar15 or an M4a assault rifle. Get some fancy nato weapons in there, g36 is a good shout too fn fal, styr aug etc -
The random drop always takes onboard whatever features the coms are on, so if the airdrops stealthed so will be the red drop. Sadly this also affects negative effects. Be careful 😁

Grontheim I don’t have issues with spawn wise but I find there’s not enough time even undisturbed and going full pelt to check everything for loot I’ve tested this, there are so many buildings and many without any loot 1 or 2 glass here and there. I even drew myself a mental image or where to go and where to totally skip if I ever played that map but usually I just dodge the map altogether. One thing that was never considered ever since the update that sped up the radiation timer was that grontheim is simply too vast to loot in time.
-
It’s doable in my opinion hence why I’m nudging our pr dev here to pass it along 😉 the mechanics exist just have to integrate it somehow! Perhaps the coms like map rotation also rotated modifiers to keep things fresh, or like you suggest a new point of interest to further modify the drop to create the “middle ground” the devs spoke about. Or integrate it with the signal detector. A few possibilities exist though I prefer the former here

So first off I should point out that the patch-notes for this season are still missing from the website, hopefully that gets fixed soon. As for what I’ve noticed I do like the closed exit strategy makes things more tense can’t just hide, collect the drop and sprint for the exit as you’ll likely need resources too. I do also like the in game challenge tracker been wanting that for ages! Only thing I would suggest for challenges like for instance looting ammo. Consolidate that into one notification rather than have that scrolling across the screen? Minor detail but one area for improvement. On to more negative things not loving the loss of the barred house, and container makes the map feel more empty like there’s less to go for. Not yet seen or tested the anti camping feature so I’ll update this post once I get a chance to later. As for other update feedback need to wait and see what was actually changed in the patch notes before I can comment further. So far it’s a 50/50 rating from me anyone else have a chance to play since the update?

Ah yes station a map I rarely play anymore due to crap spawning and poor loot. What I have seen of certain exits such as the train tracks you have unlock them then use the crawl space to exit if it’s the southern exit not sure if that helps? The panel for that is on the rail car for some reason. Can’t verify if it’s a bug or not never encountered issues myself but I don’t play that Map much. If anything only bug with exits I have seen is occasional maps start up with no locked exits at all (which I suspect isn’t right) though welcome! Still having the no fire glitch and the prone glitch. 14- reload glitch I’ve observed on a few occasions where weapons randomly unlock themselves if you swap weapons too quickly resulting in my death mid combat

Anti camping in a game based on stealth and hiding wtf
Matthew Aiken replied to ShinigamiEater's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Still trying to determine the exact time will test this though, would estimate around 30 seconds. I do know however that slightly shifting around doesn’t count towards stopping the mortars, gotta actually be moving around. Knowing that maps are based on “cell spaces” it’s probably based on occupying the same map cell for too long, while this is probably a very small space I imagine. -
Couple of ideas some more realistic than others, 1: a surface to air missile to shoot down the plane mid transit to drop the crate relative to where it was shot with a callout “the plane has been shot down, find the crash site to collect the airdrop” again ambitious but a cool idea for future seasons 🙂 As for the here and now I would say at least 2 points of interest should be on offer per match. I would actually also like to see new modifiers on the drop too so it’s not so stale. So here are a few suggestions I have: deadweight— drop falls more rapidly (positive) Live fire zone—airdrop lands with mortar barrage (negative) scanner—airdrop lands and reveals any nearby outlanders initially (negative) jammer— airdrop lands and temporarily hides nearby outlanders (positive) Those are my thoughts albeit ambitious 🙂 thoughts anyone?

Anti camping in a game based on stealth and hiding wtf
Matthew Aiken replied to ShinigamiEater's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yeah not loving the anti camping thing overall, I for one didn’t ask for it and while it has benefits from time to time it steals away my hopes of ambushing anyone at points of interest. Even moving around in the same building triggers it not just being motionless. -
Encounters Matched with Level Discrepancy
Matthew Aiken replied to Gigawatt26's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Xbox is just as bad at the moment, every match nearly is dominated by purple weapon wielding player hunters. As best as I try to avoid combat they keep finding me or wait where there’s loot to be found and clap you as soon as you have anything worth trying to get out with. -
Plan spawn rate severely nerfed
Matthew Aiken replied to ArachnidOverlord's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Oooo boy you won’t like what I have to say then 😂😂 at the start of this season I had around 300 crates of various rarity’s plus the ones I’ve gotten from daily challenges, airdrops and good donations since I’ve not had a single plan drop for any of the missing items I have lol the rates are a bit low or my lucks bad haha! -
Aniti camping in a game based on stealth and hiding wtf
Matthew Aiken replied to ShinigamiEater's topic in General Discussion
Well tbh I like that they finally added military outfits to go with all the green skins for guns I have so there’s that too! 😁 can go in with an m16 or m60 and pretend I’m in Nam or something with all the camping potential that still exists lol! Bit of rollplay never hurts 😛 -
As a general rule I avoid big maps like grontheim and Victorsen station due to the god awful spawns victorsen does at least have loot in buildings when boosted but still I always end up in top corner spawns while barred can be in bottom corner with a player 10 paces from it. Grontheim is fair only in the sense everything it relatively centralised with more players being at the edges of the map but the loot spread is nasty I’ve gone from one end of the map to another full sprint and lucky to not encounter anyone and even then didn’t have time to quickly scour half the buildings for loot before the drop came. Play smaller maps their the only ones worth trying
-
Noticed this myself since the Ui update I think what they’ve done is modify the weight burden of loot normal sprint speed is still the same but once you start gearing up or if your taking lmgs into games speed drops faster. Might not be the case for sure but that’s my bet

Aniti camping in a game based on stealth and hiding wtf
Matthew Aiken replied to ShinigamiEater's topic in General Discussion
Like i have said in a different thread there’s a difference between camping and ambushing. There’s no shame in camping points of interest like the switch’s to timed safe or barred house as long as your not spending 20 minutes hard scoping a doorway 😁 I’ve done it plenty of times with common shotguns punishing players who spring full speed everywhere looking for quick and easy loot and not playing smart. Once I’ve nabbed a kill or if there’s a while before anything’s happened I move positions or loot up etc. People going into games all the time with hbars get caught out because their not used to traditional non run and gun gameplay being used against them, not saying I’m always successful but it keeps things fresh and fun! I’m having way more fun playing with commons and minimal heals and collecting good guns than I’ve had by playing sweaty with hbars, G3’s and stacks of portables and armor. I play classic vigor! Do you? 😉 -
I don’t know if it’s just me but I’ve noticed all of a sudden that all the exits are open again can anyone confirm if this is just Rng game bug or possibly a reverted decision? As for the one point of interest it’s absolutely crazy! I do sort of like the anti camping mortars if scaled down just a smidge, it does help to root out inactive players and genuine scummy camping. For an example if see people hiding in the corners of buildings for literally a whole game no loot etc, those people are the ones the game should target as opposed to people who are simply setting up legit ambushes. Another prime example is when a player sits for 20 mins on the airdrop coming rather than doing anything else in the match. Again I need to see them patch notes to find out exactly how this works so I know what the specifics of the mechanic are. Just for the record ambushing is cool camping isn’t there’s a difference before anyone thinks I’m moaning lol 😛

No issues on Xbox one though I did have a spring bug that caused me to twirl my gun whenever I ads which was weird

Anti camping in a game based on stealth and hiding wtf
Matthew Aiken replied to ShinigamiEater's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yeah I don’t like the aggressive mortar system in place I went into a building once, placed like two transmitters, checked my map and looted a couple of drawers and then the mortars started up, wasn’t sitting idle or laying in a bush for 5 mins just creeping around a building but was a bit harshly judged as a camper. Needs toning down a bit, still okay with the concept but can’t be too extreme like this -
I mean yes but can’t hurt to further boost it by collecting as well 🙂 that way you can have lazy weeks of little gameplay and just collect food donation crates. We all have those weeks from time to time so handy to keep some spare!
-
Well I mean I’m level 39 on the battlepass already so I won’t be doing too much other than rebuild my hundreds of crates stash for next season thankfully i don’t need to grind as much this season but yeah in game combat is way more focused now. I did observe something weird at fiske though in which a red circle appeared with a guy I was on phone call with. If I didn’t know better I’d say the devs tried to do the signal jammer suggestion I mentioned earlier only I could still work out exactly where he was. Again need them patch notes so I can assess the changes

Yeah they can roll over and good call! Should do a stream myself with a grand crate opening 🙂 sound idea!
