When in first person and looking at the looter shirts, there's a white cloth there that is otherwise invincible in 3rd person.

Why do we need this exactly? Support vehicles are there for a reason.

What kind of servers are they?

How much is your fps, 30 or more?

Or a server has a crap ton of scripts that break you're game that causes it to crash.

A low fps or bad ping might be the problem.

Join a other server if you can't get it to work.

If he's cheating then press m and go to players and search for his name and there's a button to kick him. Although this will only work if you have enough players supporting the kick.
