Since the 1st of September 2019, Task Force Aurelius (formerly CGG) Realism Unit has set out to become a staple in the realism/milsim community. Producing a polyvalent and professional unit where fun and immersion are found together as one, the Task Force has been raising the bar one day at a time, focusing on what matters for our community. In operations, we bring to the realism community a well supervised experience of conventional and asymmetrical warfighting conducted by the real life militaries. Our varied range of missions then covers those of Security Assistance Force, Counter-Insurgency (COIN), Counter-IED (CIED), Reconnaissance, Direct Action, Defence Diplomacy and Military Assistance (DDMA). In the effort to remain true to our nature, and impartial and fair to all of our members and uphold our level of cohesion and comradery within the unit, each individual is rigorously tested in regards to their "suitability to join our unit". We are not looking for the best shooter, we are looking for the best people. Our current/former service members provide guidance and cadre for all to learn and acquire experience in highly technical skill sets and allow us to represent to the truest form possible, the virtual Canadian Forces.
