On the back of the aft landing gear, the back flap thingie (Untextured on your model) . Also, is it memory points or proxies for the ramp spot? Also2, Found this little gem. It appears to be the model that they used for the express elevator to hell scene while it was still inside the hangar bay. http://alienscollection.com/profilesdropship/

Nice, well I have a new model in the worksâ„¢ No such thing as too much coffee. :D Looking a lot better, I do still have critiques though, so you're not off the hook yet. The upper window on the right side of the cockpit should be flat. The fairings coming down in front of the main landing gear should be split and folded. The bar separating the upper and lower curved windshields should have an angled bit on both sides. There's probably more stuff I haven't noticed. Good luck.

smallarms NIArms Release Thread
b00ce replied to toadie2k's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well, its either that or you only have an M9 and the pilots have M4s. Plus there's the fact that weapons are "sensitive items" and I don't think anyone wants the reaming from the big green weenie that comes with leaving your assigned weapon behind (The machine guns are assigned to the crew-chiefs/door-gunners, not the aircraft). As for the ammo weight, what makes you think that a 250 round belt is going to weigh more than a 100 round belt? They actually weigh LESS. Duh! -

; but none the less, if I get shot down, I'm not going to bother with the egress kit. I'm going to hold it by the carry handle and the spade grip and shoot from the hip like its a smart-gun. :D -

I'm confused then... Also The "weight" of the machinegun is definitely based on caliber. Much like above .50 is generally considered a cannon. As a side note, I come in contact with M240H fairly regularly. With the egress kit installed, it isn't too unwieldy to shoot from the shoulder. I wouldn't be able to shoulder it for an extended period because it IS 26 lbs (Heavier than the MG3 at 23 lbs). That said, generally speaking, the weapon would not be employed standing unless absolutely necessary because it is more effective from the prone with the bipod extended. -
I'd ask McRupert and Bad Benson what/how they did their raptor.

No, its from an old page on this site I had it bookmarked a long time ago, but the web-master put a password on it and I can't get to it anymore. If you go to some of the links on the right side of the page, there's a wealth of knowledge there as well.

Fantastic work; I mean, I never wear them unless I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to, but its great to see some proper ACUs being made.

I have 1.2 GB of Colonial Marines references, if you're interested. It has closeups of the full scale model decals on the rocket pods as well. Be warned, you'll want to start a new model from scratch, like I did. ;)

The cockpit/nose and inlets are a dead give away. ;) I do not envy you. Good luck, godspeed and may the force be with you. I got super frustrated with trying to fix it and then burned it down and started completely from scratch in O2and made quite a bit of headway. And then ArmA 3 happened and I got Modo Indie. And then I burned it down and started from scratch again. And then I got super lazy.

Outstanding work. I can't wait to see the fruits of your labor.

There has to be a rule against misleading people about "your addon" with a photograph.

It would either have to be 9001 individual models stitched together or not have a working geometry LoD. The LHD from ArmA 2 was quite a few models put together, which is why you'd randomly fall through the seams to the ocean. Not saying its impossible, more impractical than anything. I remember messing around with getting that old freeware model into ArmA 2. Jeebus was it ever a nightmare. Too much detail where there doesn't need to be and not nearly enough where it counts. Glad to see that old girl in game and flying again though.

Fair enough, still awesome to see my "daily drivers" in game. They look leagues better than the RHS US Army boots in game already. Also, some critiques: The when the vertical bit that holds the lace eyelets swoops back, it should be more of an abrupt corner than gentle curve. Well, that's all I got. :D Also, you're planning on "tying" the laces on the rockys and bellvilles when they're on the finished product, right? It would look kinda silly to see people running around with un-tied boots.

I can give you some references of A2CUs (Army Aircrew Combat Uniform), if you're interested at all. I don't know if I have anymore UCP ACUs since the switch to OCP, so I don't know how much of a help I'd be there.

Y'all are killin' me. Just noticed something on your HH60M model. There should be a grate in the top step, which is used for the ECS (Fancy acronym for Air Conditioning) And behind that there is another grate for the exhaust just below and to the left of the LWR mount block. Also, there should be a duct on the cabin ceiling as well as another intake for the ECS (Circle thing) and a panel for the AMOGS.

RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)
b00ce replied to soul_assassin's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Fan-freaking-tastic. I've had a soft spot (Or hard spot...) for the a2 since basic. I've begged my armorers to issue me one of the hand-full we had in the armory (Last unit, Active duty) that were for Operations people. Also, up until relatively recently, the 25th CAB was almost exclusively M16a2s. They had them on their '12 - '13 deployment to Afghanistan as well.- 16525 replies

RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)
b00ce replied to soul_assassin's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
From what I heard, it was big-Army catching wind of it and summary Pee-pee smackings went down the chain to the person responsible for such heresy. (I know its old, been in the field a week :o: ) I'm like 200% sure there are animations for flopping down prone, supine and to either side. Perhaps someone feeling so-inclined could fabricobble an addon utilizing these animations (Or someone with even greater knowledge could make their own animations) to achieve the desired effect. However I am not that someone, nor do I intend on trying to speak the language of 1's and 0's to bend them to my will.- 16525 replies

I can take some reference pics of my uniforms if you want. On a semi-kinda-related note, are A2CUs on some secret list of things to do at some point? If so, I can provide some references for those as well.- 16525 replies

The M16a2 still sees relatively wide use in active duty Army units (Hint, hint, nudge, nudge ;) ), but I doubt we'll see one in RHS. I would like to see some amphibious capabilities added to the US faction though.- 16525 replies
