For an example of the ads being crap, I've had a number of times where I have a automatic rifle and a guy with a knife kills me. Trying to get them in your sights is awful if there within punching distance.

Running feels really weird. In day z the running is on point, maybe use the same kind of run/jog?

Tree cover with leaning. You know like fixed cover then you can lean out and shoot. Also maybe a roll dodge or just like a roll forward. I donno but trying to shoot from cover in this game is difficult. Also along the line of shooting from cover the sensitivity for aiming down sights is super sensitive and the third person sensitivity is terrible. I don't think there is a way to alter third person sensitivity.
