Hey all. I am looking for a unit. I Will try to be fried, but here goes: 1. SOG team missions and campaigns ran weekly - If a unit has a hatchet force or a bright light team that is a big plus. 2. Trains regularly once a week, together -Would be cool if there were qualification training such as Airborne School 3. Has full integration in a system that uses PERSCOM (soldier profiles, ranks, awards/badges a Code of Conduct, website, Teamspeak server - and a dedicated server that isn't in someone's bathroom. Yes that has happened.) -If a unit needs this I can provide it. It is ready and only needs branding. -The ranks/badges/awards are great but not everything. A lot of times people will award a medal for someone just doing anything, like donating to a server fund. The integrity of a medal or rank should always be protected. 4. Knows how and utilizes the full spectrum of missions (very important - not just HVT stuff, but recon, intel gathering, ambushing, POW rescue, BDA missions) 5. Has maybe a monthly or twice monthly meeting time. 6. US based time zone - all are fine About me: I have over 5.5k hours in game, I make my own Arma 3 mods - was a part of the UNSUNG team doing helicopter pilot helmets and ACAV skins. I am a aviator in game and would love to have a spot. But I would like a unit that knows how to use assets. Of course I am talking about aviation, but after playing 5.5k hours I notice most folks don't know how to use them or when to employ them. Often it's transporting troops and that's it. A lot of sitting around - which I utilize to train up during that down time. There's a boatload one can do and use aviation for. I love to organise and do paperwork in PERSCOM and just help people. If someone wants to start a unit, I am open to that, but would rather have a main 'leader' of the unit. Please DM me on Discord - Gunfighter 6#1130. Thanks!

How can I add multiple textures to one model in Blender, then export the model as a p3d and open it up in Object Builder, then make the pbo for the new model? Note: config and model files are good to go, with the config file calling the same model in one class with one texture and another class with the same model but a different texture.

How does one go about keying a specific mod for use by a specific user only, while all other users aren't allowed to use that specific mod?

[Tutorial] Simple Re-texturing Guide (From Start To Finish)
CPT Hounddog replied to Amit's topic in ARMA 3 - MODELLING - (O2)
The path could be off for your hiddenSelectionsTextures property. Also I would try updating the hiddenSelections property too, and see if that works. If neither of these work, I would re-convert your .paa files from their original format back to .paa. -

The Unsung Vietnam War Mod 3.0D - Delta Released !!!
CPT Hounddog replied to sgt_savage's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
The above quoted text is the crux to joining our team. We take great attitudes over excellent experience. From what I have read in your post, Ethridge, it seems to me you might have some bad experiences and cannot understand where we are coming from. I have spent over 100 hours of my time working on things, learning the code syntax, interfacing with the fellas, while they have spent thousands of hours developing this wonderful modification. Are we protective of our work? Of course we are. But we also do this for the community, and are willing to help anyone and listen to anyone who has suggestions. All we ask is for people to simply respect our ToS, seek us out for ideas/improvements, and go from there. I certainly hope you find the gaming experience you are looking for. -

No I am not made of porcelain. At all. But I also do not believe in being rude to people, either. You seem to be a rude type of person. I am ending this conversation, and won't respond any further.

Go back and read your initial reply to my post. It smacks of a arrogant attitude. Again, if you are re-directing, or informing someone of an error, then do it nicely. You could have written the following: "Hey Hounddog, for future reference could you post your video links to the following forum, next time?" Savy?

Ok, Thank you for the heads, but you don't have to be so arrogant about re-directing someone. Sometimes, it is all in how you say things ;)

Hey All! Thanks for being so kind to me in the forums, with regard to my questions. I have another question. When I look at some script files I notice some variables being called with in the script. For example in the fn_setUnitInsignia file there is a variable being called ismultiplayer. This variable seems to be a global variable om some sort, and I was wondering where I could find the files for variables such as these. Also, is there a link to a model creation tutorial? Thanks!

Global Variables File
CPT Hounddog replied to CPT Hounddog's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS - CONFIGS & SCRIPTING
Exactly. Usually in programming, like VB.Net, some developers use a Global Variables file. -

Hey All - another question. How do you get to the actual code files of an existing Arma 3 model, for its properties and functions? Thanks!

Extract Code Files of Models
CPT Hounddog replied to CPT Hounddog's topic in ARMA 3 - MODELLING - (O2)
OK I will try Eliteness, and will definitely make a contribution next month, when I get paid. Thanks for the input. As side note, I recall being able to extract the code for the models in OFP, and modding them directly, and then test the results. The cool thing is, is that I was able to mod and see my results and it worked. -
Hey All: I am having an issue with opening up Object Builder. I get the side by side error. I took a look at my Event Logs and saw that it was missing a dependency. So I installed the Visual C++ Redist. Packages, and still no luck. I even went so far as to install VS 2008, and copied the DLLs from VS2008. I am still having trouble opening it up. I am running Windows 10 64bit. Any advice would be great.
