I did notice you've left the Gendarmerie out from vanilla factions. Also is there any facility for QRF in the system or is it more to populate an area? Further to that, is there any way to tell that an area has been cleared? Maybe a variable we can check to trigger a QRF? And finally have you tired running AI mods such as VCOM? Just wondering if there's any way to have the AI use the horn of the vehicle if there's a man (or another vehicle) in front of the car? A little bit of road rage from the civilians would make for some good atmosphere 😂 -

Ok so far this has been great, really enjoying the mod thanks @musurca Only think is I'm not smart enough to understand how to use the EH's 😂 For instance if I wanted to run the code 15 call btc_fnc_rep_change; when the body has been delivered to next of kin, what would the syntax be? Also where would I place the code? -

Check your CBA settings, I think the last update added something to do with when your player operates the bolt (eg when scoped out, on trigger release etc) You may have to adjust something there- 16577 replies

Just putting together a new mission for my unit and noticed something I've had issues with before. For some reason I always respawn where I started from instead of on the respawn marker. I've got a respawn_west marker and the mission is set to respawn on custom position. Is there anything else I need to change? I want the players to respawn at the medical tent I've placed down.

It would be cool if you could restrict vehicles to unit members the way Liberation does. That way you could have 1 or 2 transport trucks for public use (and maybe set those to respawn), but save the good vehicles for unit members only? So are you saying there is built in HC support currently but only for patrols?

Oh wow ok, no that makes perfect sense. I thought it was just a case of some cool attachTo magic, I should have known you guys would have an ultracool way of doing it. Thanks for the reply though, still my OPFOR pack of choice.

Dredging up an old question just in case someone else has this issue. If you use ALiVE supports + a headless client you'll find the ALiVE supports do all sorts of weird things. The built in ALiVE HC manager works for keeping the supports off the HC, but I've yet to find a reliable way to do this with other HC scripts.

Hey @evrik any chance we can get the same "sling helmet" options with the faction forces as you have with the 3CB main pack? My ANA interpreter feels left out 😂

That would then put the map behind a paywall would it not? You'd have to own GM in order to use Rosche. While I own GM, half of my unit do not, which would take this incredible map out of the list of maps I could use for missions

ACE and ALIVE relative Civilian Help

I've looked at this previously, and in the end decided it was way more work than it was worth to me. You basically have to go through the ALiVE code find the functions referred to by the addactions, and then add them as ACE interactions to all civilians that spawn. The slightly easier way then is to create your own ALiVE fork from github and essentially run your own version. Again in my eyes more trouble than it's worth -

@reyhard As far as I understand it there's 2 parts to the flight recorder "rhs_flightrecorder_assembled" is the complete thing and "GroundWeaponHolder" was the classname I got when I checked the big orange ball that pops out of the cradle and can be put in your inventory. That's part that I need to be able to check for, the big orange ball. So my first idea was to have an empty cradle back at base for the players to place the big orange ball in making a complete "rhs_flightrecorder_assembled" but as I've discovered the empty cradle is just "rhs_flightrecorder_assembled" with the ball hidden, so that won't work. Awesome thank you so much Oh hang on @reyhard that's still the same object. I'm trying to work out a way to complete the mission when the flight recorder is returned to base. I was hoping to spawn an empty cradle and then check for "rhs_flightrecorder_assembled" but hiding the flight recorder obviously doesn't change the classname. I tried checking via trigger for {typeof _x isEqualTo "GroundWeaponHolder"} count thisList > 0 because if I check the classname of the recorder it comes back as "GroundWeponHolder" but no luck. Don't suppose you have any ideas? I'm basically spawning a wreck, adding an holdaction which spawns the recorder, I just need some way of checking that the players have returned the recorder to base.- 16577 replies

How do you spawn just the cradle for the flight recorder? I'm working on a side mission where the players have to recover the flight recorder and bring it back to base, so I'd like an empty cradle for the to place it into to complete that side mission.- 16577 replies

We recently ditched Wombat after a couple of years for Streamline. They offer much better servers, the baseline for Wombat has the bare minimum RAM and they charge a fortune for extra. We couldn't even run a Liberation mission without massive performance issues. Once we switched to Streamline though it was so much better. Oh and probably my favourite thing about Streamline, they have a module that will download mods direct from Steam, it's so quick and so much better than having to upload it from my own machine.

Had a play around with the ATMP's last night and they seem really cool. Going to chuck them in the next ALiVE mission I make for my lads. One thing that would be great would be if you could make them compatible with Lesh's Towing mod. I know it's probably not entirely realistic but they would make for great airfield tow vehicles, and would save us from having to use the Stomper UAV's for that role. Keep up the great work -
You might want to provide just a little more detail there bud. Just saying it's "broken" doesn't help with fixing anything, what exactly is "broken" about it? I was running around on it the other night and it seemed fine??

Yes, that was actually fixed in the last update, it was a broken index. Fantastic work lads, I've been following the updates on github daily. To me this is ALiVE 2.0 @tupolov love your work, thanks for all the changes you made ❤️ -

Ok,🙂 how about make sure VCOM doesn't affect civilians, but VCOM driving does. Those poor civs really need to learn to drive. -

To be honest I haven't really paid too much attention, it's just a little ambience. Having said that I can't remember seeing any AI crashes. I guess it's one of those things that's great if you don't notice it because nothing's going wrong 😂 -

I run this script all the time on our persistent ALiVE missions and it works great, except for the fact that when no one is online the script spams the same error over and over 0:06:23 Error Undefined variable in expression: _allplayerpositions 0:06:23 File mpmissions\__cur_mp.lythium\Engima\Traffic\Server\StartTraffic.sqf, line 133 0:06:24 Error in expression <= _playerCalculatedShare; }; } foreach (_allPlayerPositions); _calculatedMaxVeh> is there something I can change to avoid this?
