Jackal/Hyenas! These will be used by the NATO Atlantic Forces and AAF. The FIA has also managed to get ahold of a few!

Oh I'm gonna enjoy this one! Old british vehicles used by FIA forces instead of those offroad trucks in assaults will be an interesting surprise for the opposing forces :D

Loving the small details you added like those bags! Still wondering when BI will employ you :P Keep up the awesome work!

  2. Oh and I also hope that water movement could be changed too, like the waves pushing the player and maybe even the player ragdolling if he falls down on high steep hills.

for now the swimming is so slow like I'm sure every army has basic swimming training!

I cant wait to see the new ragdolls. I would love to see the fluidity of it such as dying, falling and getting hit by a car.  Maybe I'm asking a bit too much :P

im liking all those water stuff. Waters currently are just a big blob of uselessness if you don't have a diving suit or boat.

  3. Man those Russians look sick! My favorite country, weapon and language all in a new update soon :D Russians are lucky people :) Especially that helmet!

The NATO navy outfit is a nice touch to a friendly carrier assault or defence, I like it!

Keep up the amazing work Night I can't wait to see what else you got for us :D

  4. I think it would be cool if BI does WW2 like the OP said, But considering Bohemia is quite big I think they have layed the framework like what Hamakaze said. Having all those plans and stuff like that.

What I really hope to see in Arma 4 are melee, Better animations, Climbing. Basically improving mobility of infantries :D

In terms of story I sincerely hope it would not be poppy farmers with accuracy comparable to meatloaf decides to attack the U.S (Come on we all know what will happen :P)

Two new liveries for the Quad Bike and Offroad.

Those liveries look real fitting for a guerrilla force, Nicely done Night! :D

For some reason it gives me a CSAT vibe. Except with two colours as a replacement. Kinda wondering how the FIA never took inspiration from AAF/CSAT trucks and paint a sloppy pattern to confuse their enemy. (Might confuse themselves too)

The shooter shades is awesome! Pitting it with a normal NATO soldier looks swell instead of the sort of unappealing shades

Keep up the great work night! Nice update as usual! (Big feeling that the next update will bring back my favorite army, Russia :D)

Oh and I'm loving the magnitude post process! Gives it a good greek feel, Could we see another post process in the future? (Alpha like, No idea why but alpha had my win for the best post process one)

  6. After playing a bit with Aegis I got a bunch of suggestions and observations! Its a really enjoyable mod. I'm probably the new guy so I would embrace the 2035 setting and a mod like this is great!

The MX sound change is awesome by the way. Now when I shoot the MX it feels like a real gun. Forget M4s and AKs, Katibas and MX's just need those sweet new sounds :P

Riot police uniform model is one of a kind! Fits really well with the broken shape of Altis and its poor mans riot.

(Russians disappeared, I think they are having those AKs and then they will reappear ;D)

The red tape thing seems a little bit odd for the riot responders, Maybe its part of the model? A desaturated blue could be used as a way to distinguish them from the militias.

Those airliners are a static beauty, When assaulting the airport full of NATO forces and having to hide using the airplanes, Or perhaps sneaking in at night hugging the airplanes. Planting a bomb and running the hell out!

    A few ideas:

The offroad for the Riot is although, Mobile. Pretty weak for a first responder in riots. Maybe you could utilize the Arma 2s SUV, Making the windows sort of bullet proof and the car itself blue/white (desaturated blue) if you want of course! porting vehicles are very hard! You could use a SUV/Hatchback as last resort.

don't know if CUP made the riot shield pistol or ported it but if they ported it. Then maybe you could port it, Retexture the shield to have the Altian state logo. And then you have a fully fledged awesome riot guys for a 2024 coup scenario!

Oh and something I always thought would be cool. But had no idea on where to retexture it: Black H-Barriers. Just optional one, Not too black but just greyish. The dirt would be the same colour but using it to fortify secret positions on a dark night or next to a massive rock formation. Just an optional idea if your bored!

If you fancy giving the CSAT spec ops some new weapons, Like the tan katiba you could make a Hex katiba! I already have a hex katiba made and ready to be used. If you need it just hit me up :D I'm sure you could use it colour picking the colours and making your own splendid hex template!

Cheers night for your great work and contribution! Aegis is my favourite mod of Arma 3, And it wont change :D

  7. Is it possible maybe in the future you could include a small optional editor music? I remember in the older versions the preference tab had a "Enable Music" option. I think its a cool feature if your designing a large mission while hearing all random arma 3 music played which automatically stops when you hit the "play" button :D

  8. Another great update by night! Tomorrow will be one hell of a day.

The preset looks swell by the way! Any possibilities for a script version too? Would be awesome for mission makers :D

There's been a fair amount of progress so far! Also, a new poll! Please vote, I want to know what you guys would like for a... future addition. (EDIT: The RCWS-30 also has Titan missiles)

Anyways! First off, Altis variants of the bunkers, dugouts, and ramparts actually blend in now! Also, there's new sand camo nets!

Along with the new sand camo nets, there are now tropic ones for NATO forces on Tanoa. Supply crates' textures have been improved too so they don't look like total AIDS vomit trash.

And finally, the police offroad has received new textures. Also, Gendarmerie van!

Those bunkers and dugouts finally look appealing as opposed to the vanilla ones! Great work on another awesome update Night :D

  10. @Ex3B Yep! I meant it like that. I always seen some catastrophic event happening on the protagonist. Who mostly goes with guerillas. And then suddenly the big guys take massive damage. They are portrayed strong in game and even tougher in campaigns (Look at their uniform and the Americans, the CSAT guys look like their manufacturers did a real strange job with their outfit while the Americans look normal-ish)

Even if you consider the failing economy of the North Atlantic and the rising power of the canton alliance. They just seem to always fail. Either the world despises the opposing faction or they are outright annihilated.

Ive started first in Arma 3 and I always get sort of aware when some guys shoot me. Cause the firepower is visible. i did buy Arma 2 and it felt sort of weird when I got shot. I think I'm used to Arma's controls :P

Nevertheless. BI never ceases to amaze me with their campaign storylines. I couldn't even write a basic storyline and BI is here making splendid campaigns left centre and right!

  11. One thing that I liked about the Arma world. The underdogs like Iran, Russia (I would say it's an underdog cause they seemingly always loose in a fight with the Americans. I mean come on) became the ones that NATO could barely contain.

It's actually cool, because when I was playing as an American soldier in many games I literally always predict that at the end. Russians loose, US comes and destroys everything. That was sorta boring. At least in Arma 3 I took CSAT seriously, knowing that in just a shot I could be limping.

Ah im getting off topic! Just so this isn't really that off topic, I played the showcase IDAP and really liked the leaflets. Bunch of goodies for a nice story!

Don't forget this DLC was made in the Netherlands, an orange country!

    Sincerely,

    A dutch guy ;-)

Ah! Well then Netherlands and Czech Republic are the golden countries :D

I wonder where we would all be if these countries didn't existed :P

  13. Completely agree with @DJankovic people always have to bash Bohemia for anything they do. this dlc is my favourite out of all. Expanding the humanitarian aspect is a great thing even if its just retextures

Oh and all the new models really bring up a new opportunity for mod makers! That duffle bag looking thing could be used in conjunction with a suit to create a campaign or mod of a criminal faction/story.

and the money goes to charity. So while we're having fun people also benefit at the same time. Very rare to see that in a company.

oh and furnitures :P I can finally place some couches and beds and have some guys camp there! Big respect to Bohemia and everyone in there, even the janitor! A true company caring for the players experience. Czech is a golden country :)

Singleplayer-only content usually gets very little attention around here. I guess it's because folks interested in singleplayer-only content are rarely checking by. It's the multiplayer crowd that comes back all the time. But no idea.

From my experience, it's near impossible to find (good) persian voice actors on the western "free" market, which is why I've decided to get in touch with an agency for that part. So yeah, I've paid for it and let's say it wasn't just a few bucks (though, not as much as I've expected, to be honest). The voice actors weren't involved in the official campaign, but I've tried to match the main character as close as possible due to the existing radio protocol.

If I had known before release that the campaign will get a 98% positive rating (Steam Workshop right now with about 200 votes.. which I find to be quite a lot. People usually don't vote on the workshop), with barely anyone saying something bad about it, then I probably would have tried to contact BI first, to see if something more could have been done with it. :turn:

I agree on the single player part, playing a really well made campaign like yours can be a unforgettable experience. I never got any adrenaline in MP because I would usually get third person'ed by some lad and he would off me :P

in your campaign though. It got me hooked and relieved at the very end. Like I did accomplish something strolling around the hill when 30 minutes later I was fighting for a APC as mine got disabled. Grabbing that RPG and dropping the tank was so relieving! A CSAT campaign very rarely gets attention and so far the only campaign using CSAT and a strong storyline is yours :D you deserve all the votes mate! The fact you also payed money to ensure our entertainment is cool and I respect you highly for it :)

On the voice acting part, Bohemia strangely favours farsi instead of an alternative (Arabic) The Russian protocol is straight up badass though. Finding speakers of Farsi who loves Arma as much as we do is a bit tricky considering he would be shooting his own country the majority of times :P

Thanks for the kind words man, I appreciate that. ^^

There are already a few I posted in Greenfist's ReColor thread, I'll make a point of compiling some more of the more interesting ones and share them in the same thread.

I'd urge anyone who hasn't used ReColor to try it and best of all experiment with it........among those sliders is a real sweet spot where subtle little tweaks can take my breath away.

Splendid Camera and ReColor truly are a marriage made in heaven, both can make this beautiful game engine really shine......(naturally, my own mods help too!) :tounge_o:

True that :D im sorta used to the basic bright colour but noticed it was too ugly sometimes :P (The daylights rarely feel like it, heck all of my screenshots are early morning or sunsets) I used to take pictures in the cameraOld before I discovered the splendid camera. Oh how I felt like an idiot!

Il check those presets out as soon as I wake up immediately :)

    Thanks for sharing it mate!

  16. @Evil Organ Your pictures are simply outstanding! Like it feels like real life and many many times I confused the normal vanilla units for being a mod when in reality they aren't :D

i noticed the post process effects in recolour, maybe if you want to could you share it via PM or here? :) Would be really cool to implement it in a mission or campaign! (a normal mission with these effects would seem like a whole new mod gameplay wise)

    props to ya!
