  1. Yeah, nah. Still don't get it. Can anyone give an actual explanation of how to use them? Pretend I'm really really stupid and English is my second language and it's the first time I've used the editor.
  2. Oh. Ok. This is the bit https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Eden_Editor:_Connecting Thanks guys. And in further news about my numptyness. I now know the wiki is where I should have been looking.
  3. I'm so sorry for having to ask this. I feel embarrassed and ashamed that I have spent so many hours over several attempts trying to do something this simple. I want a unit to move from one position to another once a condition is met. In the 2D editor there was a link button. I would set two way points, link a trigger to the first way point, and once the condition of the trigger was met, the units would move to the second way point. But that button is gone in the 3D editor. Or at least I think it has. I've tried to name the trigger and put that name in the 'Condition' field under 'Waypoint: Expression' in the 'Edit Waypoint' dialogue box. That's the only thing I can think of. And I feel like a complete numpty when I search the forums because SURELY someone else got confused by this. SURELY I can find the answer with a simple search. SURELY there is some documentation right in front of me. But it's clear to me now that editing missions is for people with powers the likes of which I will never know.
  4. Thank you major_shepard. That worked. I'll just elaborate a little on step number 2 there. I didn't get it straight away. Didn't know the right button to click. Step 2 above is achieved with the following steps. 1. Click 'LIBRARY' tab at top of steam client. 2. Right click on game (in this case Arma 3) 3. Choose 'Properties' from the bottom of the pop-up menu that appears. A Dialogue box will open. 4. Choose 'Local Files' Tab from top of Dialogue Box. 5. Click 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' 6. Wait for that process to complete (if files are missing it will automatically retrieve the missing files) Once I did that the problem was solved. Though I did not see exactly which files were missing so I am at risk of making the same mistake again. But at least now I know how to recover from it now. Cheers.
  5. Have a problem. The problem is most likely me. So if we can find a me fix...everything should be fine. Arma3Sync seems to be working fine on the repository sync side of things, but is not launching Arma 3 successfully. When I hit 'Start Game' button, I get the windows blue circle of thought for a few seconds, and then apparently nothing. If I open Task Manager I can see a process for Arma3.exe, but it is not doing anything. No processor use and no Disk I/O. Just a few MB of memory. If I hit the 'Start Game' button again I get another instance of the same thing appearing in Task Manager. The clue to why the problem is me is that I get exactly the same result if I try to launch using A3Launcher. I can launch fine with the standard BI Arma 3 launcher. The problem started around the time I deleted some files (I messed up the installation of a mod or 2) from C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma3\ directory. I have a hunch there may have been a file that handles external launchers that is created in the initial Arma3 install, not made by Arma3Sync or A3Launcher. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Arma3Sync, and now updated (Today) to latest version. This has not solved the problem. Any Clues what I may have deleted? Is it even possible I didn't fuck it up? I don't call myself Faulty for nothing you know. Regards.
