    with regards to the new foliage is it going to be used to replace the foliage on the old maps? or are they going to stay the same and we'll see a third map released....or a new map and replacements of the old two?

    but it has nothing to do with donaters, the profits from apex aren't going towards unsung, so its not circumventing the donation process (if the unsung team actually has one in the first place). The fact of the matter is as i said earlier, these guys want to play Vietnam, they are being kind enough to let us use their stuff. They could just as easily say 'nah we'll keep it to ourselves'. If they want to use apex its not for us to complain about, cause at the end of the day i haven't bothered to make a Vietnam mod, doubt you have too, so we have no say to the guys actually bothering to make the mod. We should just be grateful and show support, the community isn't here for complaining....which unfortunately is something i have seen a lot of. so yes pook has his own drinking game but i plan to get smashed tonight, and the fastest way is through complaints.

    the way i look at these things is the guys making unsung are making it cause they want to play Vietnam on the Arma engine. They just happen to be kind enough to release it to us. If we don't want to use Apex, its cool, they still get to play Vietnam the way they want with no skin off their backs. Having said that though i was considering getting apex and then unsung was the final straw to convince me so i guess BI should thank you guys for the increase in sales.

    so fans and fanettes time for an update. 1) We are not dead! i know it seemed a little edgy but i can confirm we aren't dead. long story short two key members are doing exams and other educational stuff. So things have slowed as you can understand. 2) We have an alpha list! blimey you'd be surprised how long we were working without one of them hahahaha. So yeah we are on track unlike before when we just shot off in various directions (like seriously there was like a ww2 phase, island phase, jenga phase etc.) 3) we have actually got a third of the alpha list completed...i think by accident actually. but now we are on route it will not be long before we hit half way. Right time to be honest with you all...we made a big decision. We have given ourselves to december to release the alpha. now this is actually rather manageable and so don't panic, we'll probably be done before then. this is just a task to get us rejuvenated. Now we couldn't have done all this without your support. seriously when you guys chat on the forums it keeps us motivated. so from the bottom of our hearts thank you. Also if you guys bring up an interesting subject we're always happy to chip in.

    well my pocket is now £20 lighter, thank god you guys timed it well for end of year bonus to announce the Apex stuff. I think its a good decision though looking at some of their foliage on the screenshots

    that's cause we like an underdog story...so we admit we got stuff wrong like Dunkirk, to then say 'but hey look we then went and kicked Mr Hitler in the teeth anyway'

    I doubt Russia will be changed from REDFOR because (Brace for history lesson) the whole BLUFOR REDFOR GREENFOR was a NATO thing. Obviously the communist flag is red so that's why they got the red color. It doesn't necessarily mean enemy, just kinda meant Communist...who incidentally was the enemy. Interestingly the Russians also used the color red to represent their units, and cause NATO has a blue flag its always been BLUFOR. So again both NATO and USSR used blue for NATO. Green just means anyone not associated with either of those two. So there you go Russia will probably stay red. As regards to why Germany is blue and america is green? Maybe the designers are from Germany? Or maybe they decided to match the colors to the uniforms. Seeing as Allies mainly used green and Germany grey. That's just my thoughts though so take it with a pinch of salt.

    did we have the old 'Chinese fighting jacket' back then or was that Falklands era? don't know its original name, just know it was nicknamed that because it looked like the Chinese winter jacket they were all wearing.

    RHS has gotten the closest I've found to gunfire sounding correct. i remember when i first heard it at the ranges. I was about 300 - 400 meters away from the shooters to the side, and when they were firing it was like a pop then what sounded like a propeller model airplane going along kinda like a pffffffffaaawww sound (if anyone else has another way to describe it i'd be interested). I remember thinking 'damn...that's a really disappointing sound' hahahaha.
