ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread
sgt m.stonebridge replied to max power's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Could someone add these to the game, with silencers and scopes. -
Really happy with the work, can't stop playing ArmA now :) Just a question. Are you guys looking to add the Virtus system into game, I think it would be a nice addition to have as well as the new model weapons, I believe the new version of the SA80?
-
I will get straight to testing, many thanks on your hard work and dedication.

Nice to see such fine progress on the development gents. As a British player and National I can't express my level of support for you guys, this mod is going to give us a lot of new equipment that we badly need. It has been said to often that we lack the needed equipment to effectively portray our armed forces, and that the American based groups get more interest than any other country. I can not wait until the update is released and our level of equipment doubles, it will finally bring us well within our operational standards, and I am sure that once your vehicle pack is updated with new content we will finally be at the level we so rightfully deserve to be at. I will await the release and would also congratulate you on a job well done so far :icon_eek:

What does that mean for your release, you guys have said before the end of Apex but we're not to far off that now, seeing as it's apparently the end of the month.- 205 replies

Hell in the Pacific - a full conversion WW2 mod [Reboot]
sgt m.stonebridge replied to daoarge's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Yes I do own ArmA 3, I merely mean that it's the first ww2 mod that doesn't seem to require paying for a different game to play it on ArmA 3 :) I44 hasn't come out and I'm not even sure it is so this mod is a god send.- 205 replies

Hell in the Pacific - a full conversion WW2 mod [Reboot]
sgt m.stonebridge replied to daoarge's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I'm hoping it's close to an alpha state, I can't say how long I've waited for a WW2 mod without the need to pay for a game to use it,(Which in turn makes it a pay to get mod). I would very much be interested in testing this mod if that would be Okay, I have a thing for that Era. I do have one question related to the units, will we see different textures for the uniforms, European theater etc and will we see radio backpacks from that era also in the mod?- 205 replies

31st Normandy Mod: World War II for ArmA3
sgt m.stonebridge replied to rip31st's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
This is an age old argument concerning this thread, it's been active a long time but a nun see's more action than this mod to be honest. The mod author has said it's still going but doesn't post updates showing screen shots or anything else as such. To me this mod is dead by all accounts and the topic should be deleted. -

The pip is that way for a reason, so changing it will be a lower priority than feeding a cat. -
It's a shame, we need more people who have these skills in our community, it would make so much more of a difference if we could get the support needed, hell, I'd be willing to try and model the equipment if I had decent enough reference images of it. Side, back, front. I think as a community we need to know who can do what, and see if they would be willing to take part in a joint effort to bring more equipment to ArmA, I don't mean just using in game assets because it's not true to life. We need to create the content ourselves, develop it ourselves so that we learn, and can then apply it to other projects. I know that sort of team would be difficult to get going, on account that many people have their own things they want to do. But I think in terms of already available stuff, it's so limited to what we had in ArmA 2. Not amount of re-textures, or re-modeling of current available items in game will give the community the diversity it hopes for, I would love to see a collective effort to bring in more existing equipment, and not just for the Brit units, although we are sadly behind, but for all. But that's just my hope, and so I can only wait and see what the future brings.

This is being brought in to service so I should think we will see at least from our side a lot of interest in maybe getting this system of equipment in game, the issue is the modding community. Not that they don't do fantastic work that's not what I mean, I mean when it comes to branching out towards other forces, the majority of the community works solely on US equipment, so finding people who can model, rig and texture for groups on the Brit side gets difficult.

US 75th Rangers
sgt m.stonebridge replied to h a w a i i a n's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I'm not expecting you to do anything, I'm merely stating the colour on the vest with the pics shown to us, looks grey, that is all, and yes I'm aware colour changes under different lighting as well, I'm no idiot when it comes to colour, I'm a fully trained stylist, and know my ins and outs. So in all, yes, it may be a colour your happy to call ranger green, but from our stand point, we haven't seen it in game for ourselves so we can only give you feed back, and that feedback is that with the images provided the vest colour looks more grey than anything, you don't need to be an expert to see from those images it lacks any resemblance of green. So, as I said, hopefully it will be more clear in game as to the Tone and Depth of the colour, but at the moment it looks grey. This is all I meant, so please before jumping down my throat, take some time to understand why we asked in regard to the colour. -

sgt m.stonebridge replied to h a w a i i a n's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I'm not mistaken, the colour he stated was olive drab, which is what I posted a link to, and the colour you posted isn't far of it, the colour on his vest is to much of a grey, there doesn't appear to be any green in it. This would be a better reference. But as you can see, it's still a big difference in colour. -

sgt m.stonebridge replied to h a w a i i a n's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
It's not that it's dark, but olive drab is more of a green, here: You see what I mean. -
it's not that I misunderstood, I simply don't see the need for it, not matter the weather condition the outcome is the same. If its low visibility and dark use NVG's. it's quite simple, I use them and have no issues. And aiming is very simple, use a laser, I'm not being an ass, I just don't see the need for an IR flashlight that would serve no real purpose.

It looks almost dark grey, not black but pretty close on the scale. I can't wait for this mod to come out. -

sgt m.stonebridge replied to sgt m.stonebridge's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Sorry for the abscence guys, but I've been really busy with work and stuff so modding has pretty much stopped. I have all the files with textures and all saved, the bolt animations need tweaking, and configs etc need finishing I believe. If someone is interested please PM me but only if your going to release it and give credit were it's due. -
31st Normandy Mod: World War II for ArmA3
sgt m.stonebridge replied to rip31st's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Pictures of your project would be really nice to see, and have you tested the map in its current state to test if it runs, and behaves the way you would want it to?
