Not sure if it's been reported, but the woodland RACS helmet uses the texture for the desert camo when roughly 15 meters away. I didn't test the woodland uniform yet. -

Just curious if you guys figured out how to get females into Arma 3? I know CUP plans for all stuff from previous games, but I believe I read a long time ago that it is impossible to get them in the new engine? -

Thanks for the update! I'm assuming it's a vanilla issue, but are the AI incapable of driving amphibious vehicles properly? I tried with the BTR-80 and the AI just keeps slowly tapping the acceleration instead of moving full speed. I can drive it myself no issue of course, but the AI is being brain dead as usual.- 16550 replies

Scenario requires missing addon

So I'm having an issue with one of my missions saying it requires an addon I recently removed. In the old editor I would easily delete the addons listed in mission.sqm and then save the mission again, however with Eden editor, I am absolutely clueless as to how to clear the addons since I am unable to edit the mission.sqm. There must be a way to fix this? -

Loving the new version! However, I am unfortunately still having the issue of helicopters not wanting to follow transport unload waypoints (just that helo on the map and some units in cargo). I suppose it's not much of an issue, only problem is when helicopters are in a mission, is there perhaps a way for me to disable VCOM on helicopters? -

Wow! I like the unique setting of an early Cold War period East and West Germany, it's rarely portrayed I've noticed. Do you have plans on porting any of them to Arma 3? Or just sticking with Arma 2 for now? -

I tried without VCOM and it worked fine, including using 'helo_name land "land01";'. Strange issue, but I'll try the new version and see what's what, I definitely don't want to give up using this for one issue, VCOM is probably one of the best AI mods I've tried out of any of the Arma games! -

Is there any reason AI helicopters wouldn't follow a transport unload order? I was running a simple test mission when I realized the AI helo would follow a move trigger, but not a transport unload, nothing crazy in the mission except some addon units and gear (CUP/RHS). Perhaps an issue with my addon load order, if that's even a thing with Arma? -

Is there a thing where the AI run to one specific spot as some sort of safe zone or something? Everything worked pretty well, AI engaged intelligently, called in mortars on my position (I think), and all in all seemed to act more human. However when I came to a location I placed enemies, there was no one there, then I see just this horde of AI gathering around one spot that had a Colonel ranked AI. I mean AI came from all around the map, leaving their positions to come to this one little area. Maybe it's a setting with the hearing or reaction thing (Despite this area having no combat around it)? -

Hmm, it isn't working. As I said though, only when I do not binarize the mission does this occur, if I binarize I get my titles. Eden Enhanced is being used, perhaps that is the issue? -
As I get back into Arma, I'm feeling the need to ask if there is any need for AI mods at this point? I still use ASR AI, but that and a lot of other AI mods haven't been updated in some time, which lead me to believe perhaps default AI is good in an Arma game for once? If not, then what is the AI mod most tend to use at this point?

Thanks! I fixed it. One thing, I've noticed when I do not binarize my missions, and I export them to my scenarios, that the mission title is just that of the file name, not the actual title. Is it possible to fix, or just something to deal with using the Eden update? -

Is the mod version the same as script, just in .pbo form, of course? I mean, does it run better, worse, or the same as if I used the script in individual missions? -

Will you attempt to port/add some Cold War era vehicles that are not currently included in CUP? The US M60A3 Patton comes to mind as something that would be great to see in Arma 3. -
Oh Arma and your AI. ACE isn't too single player friendly is it? Or is it modular enough to take certain things such as the AI module?

I really like the idea of this! I was shocked to see there was no Tanoan army faction with Apex, modern or otherwise. Have you considered perhaps using CUP (Or RHS) to expand the Tanoan arsenal? Perhaps some light armour and vehicles (M113's or HMMWV's), a huey would go amazingly well with these guys. I really hope you continue to develop the faction :) -
ww4 PR MOD - total replacement WW4

I'm using the PR Mod ECP 1.5 version, and I am getting an error saying 'BAH_MAH60 requires addon bah_soar185'. Also, I believe it probably has something to do with the aspect ratio requirement, but I can no longer select 1920x1080 as my resolution, as I did playing the base vanilla game yesterday. Oh, and I'm using the steam version.- 157 replies

I am playing around with the parameters for once, and I've noticed there is both 'enable hyperthreading', and then 'cpu count'. I have an i7, so a quad, but 8 logical cores which I believe means hyperthreading, right? Do I set cpu count to 4 and select enable hyperthreading, or do I set cpu count to 8 and then still select enable hyperthreading?

Ah, appreciate it! As for ExThreads and MaxMem, I've enabled them and set 12GB for MaxMem since I have 16GB of RAM. All of this ok, or should I enable/disable something else? Never really played with the settings too much in Arma games, so sorry if it's a stupid question. -

Does anyone have the issue of trees not showing up? I can see a few trees, which appear to be Arma 3 models, but none of the Arma 2 trees, and I have CUP installed. -
