2035: Russian Armed Forces (5.3.0)
BroBeans. replied to Deathstruck's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
How have i not seen this earlier. Some nice work here, keep it up -
Before anyone blabs its unrealistic or whatever (not a massive tank researcher) maybe adding an MFD for the driver to see the gunners/commanders view would be cool. Might give them something to look at while they sit for hours. Tbh I've always loved driving tanks, you get used to the fixed slot view, but it'd be nice if we could look around a bit.

looks very nice! Keep it up

Kobbvatn - New Arma 3 Map Trailer
BroBeans. replied to xindrum's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
This looks awesome. That's all i have to say. Awesome. :) Keep up the good work -
They have automatic transmissions yes, but most auto trans you can force 1st and 2nd to engine brake and manipulate the vehicle a bit better. Maybe just have a "low-range" feature added, purely to stop the stupid gear changing when trying to drive up a hill. EDIT: These ideas are just from a gameplay POV, not necessarily realism. Bc fluid gameplay comes first imho. Even if it is a sandbox sim.

Be busting out the racing sim set up soon ;)

Jesus this got somewhat side tracked, and awfully disrespectful for no particular reason. But, would love to see some better controls of tanks as a whole, the twitchy movement etc has got to stop. Interiors: First person for all positions, and usable at that. Viewports and PiP for example. Damage model: Definitely could do with some inhancements, maybe a more advanced damage model as an option? (or forced, don't mind ;) ) as someone said earlier, manual gear selection by choice would be an excellent feature, not just for Tanks but for all vehicles. Would allow obstacle manoeuvring and speed manipulation a lot easier. Also, maybe add an advanced option, so Automatic is an option.

Looking at VBS2 for scripting commands for Arma 3
BroBeans. replied to progamer's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Was it really necessary though? -
Happy to hear you're moving onto bigger and brighter things. I look forward to it. But as @road runner said, don't feel obliged to answer to everyones needs, don't turn creation into a chore, it should be something you enjoy doing, regardless of what other people think and say. Best of luck with school and your future project. I'll be keeping my eye out ;)

a) I don't think Adacas ever said hes abandoning this. He just wants to start something new. b) It's not all that hard to make your own textures. To darken the green might take you only 5 minutes if you read a post or two

I believe it's still available if you do it through the menu arsenal .. i could be wrong, I seem to remember they removed it from the Eden Arsenal i mean you could always just use this @jarrad96 is onto it :D

[WIP] Project Tuatara - New Zealand Defence Force
BroBeans. replied to Yottahertz_'s topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Little update from the Team: Currently we're still fine tuning the NZMCU, and working on a realistic uniform. Progress is coming along steadily. With the C130's already done (Big thanks to Sabre) and the A109 in the last stages of development (Thanks to PetraCephas) we're doing well on the vehicle front. We will be equipping our infantry and SF within the next few weeks where we should be able to release a small media presentation showcasing what we have so far, and our roadmap for the year. Stay tuned, good things are on the way ;) -
Mate just because people break the law doesn't mean you should remove the law. The fact is, yes people will always find a way to skirt it. Does that make it okay? No. We still need to try enforce in anyway we can. One way, is bringing awareness to those who somehow don't understand basic IP Law. Sure it might only weed out a few, but at least it's a step forward to stopping false uploads on the centre of Arma 3 mods. I don't particularly like SWS, but I sure as hell don't like it when people upload my, or anyone elses, content without permission. How there is a debate over this astounds me. It's a simple fact. No one should upload anything they don't have the rights too. Theres no buts, ifs or maybes. Strictly, if you don't own it don't bloody muck around with it without the Authors permission. I struggle to understand how people see this as a grey area..

It'd be nice to see some more support for HMD's opening up more opportunities for modders and the community. But probably unlikely because it's a lot of work in such a short period .. considering they've already designed the new GUI. All we can do is hope, (its likely) that someone will turn the new GUI into a HMD. :)

welcome to Arma, enjoy your stay and zig zag ;)

I think what hes trying to say is the recoil is too low for automatic fire .. Giving no penalty if you choose to spray down your enemy .. By setting the Recoilcoefficient higher he is making it 'harder'. Giving more penalty to autofire

Prone-like stances REALLY need some limitations on the arc and speed when turning/aiming around
BroBeans. replied to kot1k's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
+1 needs to be implemented as an engine feature not a player side limitation .. Unfortunately it's probably not a big issue on BI's radar. I guess all we can do is hope EDIT: I suppose it could be possible to script it in .. something like, when the unit is prone sensitivity is reduced by a coeficient < 1 .. although in saying that i doubt it would affect AI -

You just necroed a thread that hasn't seen action since late 2015. And a simple search would probably come up with something like advanced urban rappeling

[CLOSED] FFAA V6 (Spanish Army Mod)
BroBeans. replied to FFAAMOD's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
looks like a lot of terrain to explore, can't wait -
better off posting on the addon thread itself. This is way to general, you could atleast name the mod you're using. If its the singleplayer cheat menu I'm thinking of go there, if it's some BS cheat menu for multiplayer forget about it. Regardless, the binds going to be within the script/userconfig (if it has one)
