Could run a script on each client on respawn to set ASL to height of the deck. I wouldn't rely on Eden handling that data -

Don't think it's necessary at all for this thread, best you can do is report it. It is sad to see this popup on the front page, and even worse to see a modedit in the comments. However jumping to an assumption and saying Foxhound supports this in unfair. For all we know it hasn't been looked at since the reports/comments. Even if he does. So what. This thread will do nothing. It's a sick twisted 'scenario' that's best left off the front pages. All this thread does is draw more attention to it.. -

Is BIS going to still developing Arma 3 after Tanks DLC?

Idk about anyone else, but i look forward to 3rd party creations much more than Official DLCs. With apex as an exception. Nothing changes as far as I'm concerned. I still play the game to play the game. Not to wait for new DLC's. -

Buying Arma 3 in pre release was by far the best christmas present i gifted myself. Being a massive OFP fan from the start, i put in over 1000 hours before the 'full-game' even dropped. How you interpret and make use of early access is up to you. However saying that no game should ever be released in alpha again is small minded. It allows for quicker development and bug finding. DayZ is a poor example. a lot went on behind the scenes that delayed and delayed the project. Arma 3 Alpha was awesome fun, and it was updated frequently and before long we had access to all the assets and features. I can't wait to see what the new engine brings us. Although from what I've seen it still has a lot of work before it could handle such a feat as Arma 4. -

Script alternative to ALiVE?

Well this is a lie, Alive has fairly good performance for what it can create. It all comes down to the configuration. No AI behaviour script/mod is good for server performance. But Alive has it's own virtualisation which seems to work pretty well. I assume you're talking about scripts to alter AI behaviour? Alive has so much more to offer than just that, which is why it's a mod not a script. Yes there are simplified scripts out there but they will still take a toll on the server. Lets not forget Exile hardly has a good performance track record. -
Yeah or disable sim. As for the waypoints and fish etc thats just arma, theres not really a work around

Is AIS still trying to init while ACE is present? Have you tried removing the script that initializes AIS? Best bet would create a switch, if ACE_Core is absent call "AIS_blahblah.sqf"- 914 replies

The progression system is one of the major things it's got going for it IMO. For competitive play (like serious competitive play) there would need to be a gamemode that had all unlocks available. But for casual play I love the function of the progression tree etc. Gives me a sense of achievement and means you rarely have someone switching between multiple guns in one game. You can easily learn how someone plays after just one match.

SA runs off of the same engine as both Arma 2 and 3, just a different version, it's all basically the same for modding. I'm sure if they open up SA to modding they'll try to make it user friendly as they have in A2 and A3. Best you can do is learn Arma 2/3 scripting/config knowledge -

@GC-Reno I've already set Icemans respawn up for you. I don't exactly get what more you are looking for. With that respawn system you can run multiple scripts on respawn. Including the one that changes the skin... -
